Yes, I'd go there again.

It's a delightful setting. We felt very comfortable and with a lovely family.

We had a very good-sized bed which left little legroom to get down the sides. This is only a little inconvenient for what was a delightful stay.

Unorganised and disappointing

Beds were comfortable, aircon worked well, shower was hot and powerful.

Breakfast was given late, the food wasn’t freshly cooked and was cold when we got it, the WiFi did not work throughout the duration of our stay we had to ask multiple times to get this sorted. Eventually this was sorted out.

Great location for the temple caves and delicious food and a relaxing space to unwind and they were so helpful with arranging transport around the town.

Polecam serdecznie! Idealna baza wypadowa do miejsc, które warto zwiedzić w pobliżu.

Bardzo polecam to miejsce, hotelik położony nieco na uboczu przez co jest cicho i spokojnie a jednocześnie można dostać się bardzo szybko do największych atrakcji. Pyszne i ogromne śniadania. W pokojach wszystko co potrzeba. Właściciel jest niezwykle pomocnym człowiekiem, zorganizował dla nas zwiedzanie Sigiriya i Safari w przystępnej cenie. Można skorzystać z podwózki tuk tukiem np do centrum.

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Es ist eine super nette Familie die diese Unterkunft betreibt, man fühlt sich direkt wohl und aufgehoben. Man wird direkt vom Cave Tempel mit einem kostenlosen Tuk Tuk Service aufgegabelt. Die Kommunikation im Voraus lief super und auch während des Aufenthalts hat alles sehr gut geklappt. Hier bekommt ihr auch richtig leckeres frisch zubereitetes Essen mit richtig großzügigen Portionen und Früchten. Es wird einem auch Angeboten mit dem Tuk Tuk nach Sigiriya gebracht zu werden wenn man möchte für einen fairen Preis.

Green oasis close to cave temple

Calm and green place really close to cave temple. Place run by a very kind family. They offered us a delicious breakfast Sri Lanka style with fresh fruits. We slept very well.

Du wirst dich wohlfühlen und alles haben, was du brauchst!

Super Lage- fussläufig zum Ticketoffice des Rocktempels-Sauberkeit, bestes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Auch das Frühstück war vorzüglich. Sogar AC und WLAN enthalten und der Gastgeber war steht’s umsorgend. Ich bin heute ins nahe gelegene Dschungelgebiet gefahren vorbei an einem großen Staussee und Reisfeldern. Gut für einen längeren „Walk“.

great find !

I recon this is one of the better low cost hotels to stay at. We got the jungle room which was fun, wooden tree house (however it was quite dark - we probs should have gone for a room that had more natural light). The breakfast was extensive +++ and tasted fantastic, evening dinner for 12 USD for 2 was amazing proper tradition food there was sooooo much! nice way to spend the evening. The cave temple is walkable, owner arranged jeep safari for us that was fantastic for 70 USD for private tour for 2 (we were gone 5 hours or so). Owner arranged tuk tuk to sagria lion rock which was really good. There’s no much to do in the local area eg restaurants/ bars - there doesn’t seem to be in dambulla at all. 2 days is a good amount of time to spend here

nothing - we loved it the owner worked so hard, lovely place to stay. if i was to change anything i should make the jungle room abit brighter (maybe paint the wood inside room lighter so feels brighter / or add additional lights) I think you could charge more than you do for the quality

zeer aangenaam en rustig verblijf in een chalet met tropisch kader

Gelegen midden in de tropische natuur Scooter aanwezig om te huren. Leuk terras om na te genieten slechts twee kamers ter plaatse, dus rust verzekerd Correcte behandeling op vlak van prijzen en betalingen.

Muggengaas voor de vensters zou het comfort verhogen. Nu hou je best alle luiken toe maar dan is de kamer de ganse dag donker. De internetverbinding kon beter. Een paar gemakkelijke zeteltjes op het terras zou een grote verbetering zijn

Perfect to visit the cave temple

Lovely located in a green area in short walking distance to the dambulla cave temple. The host was super kind, he even drove us to the nearby bus stop and waited with us for the bus to Kandy. Breakfast was plenty and tasteful. We didn't have dinner but it also looked very good. Overall a pleasant stay!

Not a good accomodation for long stayings

Location is good and the host is very very helpful, king and friendly. They made very rich local breakfast but as we dont like local food we requested for different type of breakfast and they provided us with our desired breakfast

The room is not comfortable . There are lots of insects, ants in room and in bathroom also. The bathroom is not new , looks very old and inconvenient

Perfect stay in a super nice environment!

The people were so nice and organised us a huge delicious breakfast and even offered to prepare dinner for us. Our room was super big and although we actually booked a room with 2 double beds we ended up having the room for ourselves. Can’t recommend enough if you enjoy having some nature around!

1. Host is really nice and friendly. 2. Located just next to Golden Temple 3. Peaceful and calm stay - wake up to the chirping of birds. 4. Good Sri Lankan cuisine dinner and breakfast. 5. Clean room with comfortable bed and mosquito net.

We stayed 5 nights at Golden Rainbow Guest House to visit Dambulla and Sigiriya. Golden Rainbow is ideal for visiting these interesting places. Kumare the host took very good care of us 👍👍👍 He sure is the best host in the world! Every day, he served delicious highest-quality breakfast and dinner cooked by his friendly wife. She is a true master chef👍👍👍. We hope to return one day! Good luck and our very best wishes to Kumare and family 🙏

A very peaceful and comfortable place to stay in Dambulla. The family who run it are very sweet and super accommodating. The food was amazing - really recommend the dinner, we loved it!

Great family home stay!

Beautiful property in a lush garden. The host and family were lovely and helpful and we took an amazing dinner and a huge breakfast for the family (too much food in fact 😋) thank you for making our arrangements to travel in safari vehicle to the National Park - it was an excellent day! Highly recommended for a peaceful stay with a family in nature.

It’s a beautiful place in the middle of nature, very quiet and peaceful. The room is spacious and there’s a lot of privacy. A delicious Sri Lankan breakfast is served in the morning.

It’s a little far from the city center.

Beautiful place! I spent a really good time here, very comfortable, clean, peaceful, green. it’s very near to golden temple and cave temple, you can go by walk. The breakfast was delicious and if you want lunch or dinner they cook a delicious home made food. Kumara is such a nice person, very honest, friendly and helpful. If you need anything he help you. I totally recommend to stay here

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay hosted by a very kind family,

Amazingly kind and helpful family that did their best to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Helped arrange tuk tuk/minivan rides, cooked delicious meals, helped with general advice on traveling and overall really made us feel welcome, comfortable and safe. The guest house is very close to the Cave Temple, and it’s very easy to get to Sigirya Lion Rock. All the food we had was great, delicious and local, If I ever find myself traveling through Dambulla I will book a stay here.

Great Spot, Good Breakfast

Nice quiet family guesthouse under canopy of forest. clean room. Amazing breakfast with traditional food, plenty of fruit, much better than in some other places that offer dry toast and jam. Very good value for money.

First music could be heard in the room, but the host kindly turned it off.

Very nice stay with amazing home cooked dinners! Nice quiet location, a little further out of town. Our host helped us organised travel to sigiriya and even woke up early to ensure we caught the right Crazy bus to Kandy.

Exceptional for solo female travelers

This stay is exceptional for solo female travelers, and recommended for anyone. After a stressful day of travel alone, I felt welcomed upon arrival and safe in the environment. The host is an honest and friendly man who goes out of his way to meet your needs. From a fulfilling included breakfast to travel help, you will be fully taken care of here. The rooms are romantic, quaint bungalows in the jungle, within convenient distance to the main sightseeing areas. Even if you choose to have a break from sightseeing, there is a rock behind the hotel that you can explore and watch the sunrise from. The host and his family live behind the hotel rooms, his dogs walk the property, and monkeys play in the trees-- all of this gives a tropical and homey feel. I didn't want to leave on my last day!
