Clean place, with nice hoste and delicious desayuno!

For me was to loud at night from the street. But in the same time is a great location , in center de Heredia.

Very good

If you are looking for real hotel, do not make reservation. What you are booking here is a house where family is renting out rooms. They are really nice people and provide high level hospitality. The room is clean and big and definitely worse money that you pay for.

A comfortable place to stay

If you want to be in the city, Casa Familiar la Tortuga is well-located, close to shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. The house and rooms are comfortable and the hosts are very friendly and helpful with suggestions for dinner and directions.

As always in a city, parking is difficult. We were provided a parking spot in the garage, which was definitely helpful, but with the traffic, it was tricky getting in and out. Fernando was there to help us each time.

Bathroom could have been better by gringo standards but was still quite satisfactory.

we felt very comfortable and safe while staying in a clean and nice apartment

it is placed central in heredia, perfect for two people. the bathroom is the best one i‘ve seen so far in costa rica. the apartment is nice, clean and perfect for two people. kitchen has everything BUT a stove, but that’s the only thing to criticize. staff was very friendly.

The location is in the very center of Heredia. The separate entrance. Large room with everything that can be needed.Even a small kitchen. Clean and cosy room. But the most important thing is the owners. Sooo nice people, after check-out our son got the present and I - a huge bunch of lilies🥰

- Super friendly hosts (Fernando & Olga) - Delicious fruit offered on arrival - Large double room with en-suite bathroom - Great location for airport and large mall nearby - Balcony on the room - a great little sun trap! - Clean room and bathroom

Exceptional

Great place! The room was spacious and had everything you needed and more (balcony, hammock). I also really enjoyed the breakfast with coffee and fruit. The place is close to everything in the Heredia area with shops and cafés right around the corner. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place in the heart of Heredia

I had a wonderful experience, staying at Casa Familiar la Tortuga. I was welcomed by Fernando and Olga into their home, and made to feel like a family member. The room was clean and comfortable, with a queen size bed, a sofa, a hammock, a sunny deck, a table, and a flat screen TV with multiple cable channels. I was treated daily to hot coffee and a bowl of fresh fruit. The location is just a few blocks from the town center, with many restaurant, soda, and shopping options nearby. I look forward to staying with them again on my next visit.

I'm used to more water pressure in the shower. It was only a minor inconvenience.

Un lugar muy tranquilo, seguro, y comodo.

The house was spotless and homey. The family was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet.

The coffee and fruit provided for breakfast were disappointing, considering Costa Rica has excellent coffee and fruit. It would have been nice to have a gallo pinto included.

Excellent service

Olga was very helpful in every way. Location is excellent, the room clean and confortable. Always available to assist me when I had questions or worries concerning my upcoming flight. I would definitely recommend this place.

Quaint stay in family home

We loved that Casa Tortuga felt so welcoming and like we were coming home. After months on the road, it felt so nice to be in a home rather than a hotel or hostel. The hosts were so sweet and surprised us with coffee and fruit in the morning :) They also let us use cutlery and their fridge overnight as we had some groceries with us. Great location, close to the stadium.

Hard to find the property outside in the dark- no signs but look for painted turtles on the gate!
