The room is very comfortable, the amenities are in very good condition, and the view of the city of Nuwara Eliya is very pleasant in the evening or morning. We slept like babies, the bed was extremely comfortable, this hotel allows you to get some quality rest and charge the batteries for the rest of the trip. The host and the family are very kind people; they will treat you very well and will be there to advise you on things to do in Nuwara Eliya. We ate at the host's place, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka; Anne is probably the best cook in Sri Lanka. We spent hours talking with Anne and her daughter, and we were able get a better grasp of the Sri Lankan culture. The kindness and benevolence of the hosts will leave a lasting impression on you; we highly recommend staying here.

The house and the room were very clean and cozy, with comfy beds, a nice terrace and good size.
The family has been very welcoming and kind, trying to accommodate all our needs.

They were a bit slow in responding to my messages, but as I said after they were extra helpful.
The location could be better: there's a shortcut to the ''city center'' (considering there's not exactly a city center there), but during the night it's very dark. The main road to reach it is also quite steep so not all tuktuk are happy to come there (they can stop 1 min away though and you manage the steepest part on foot). This location also allows a nice view from the balcony though!

A very welcoming and helpful family, who helped us to hire a scooter for the duration of our stay. They cooked us a wonderful dinner and breakfast too! The rooms were really clean with comfortable beds and the shower was nice and hot.

The kindest, most attentive and smiling owners of the hotel in the whole city of Nuwara Eliya. They always helped with all the issues that arose in the city. They told me where I could change money with a good rate. They warmly welcomed us throughout the day. Also, very kind responsive children from the owners of the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The room was super clean and nice, and the hosting family exceptionally helpful even in Sri Lankan standards. They helped arrange the trips we wanted for the cheapest available price and took care of us when we caught a flu. The breakfast was superb and abundant.
Just typing this here for extra info before you book: there’s no AC in the room, but you really don’t need one in Nuwara Eliya, so don’t let that keep you from booking :)
Another point about the location: It’s in the edge of town, but there’s a handy pedestrian short cut and only ten minute walk so definitely no need for tuktuk. We walked to all the main attractions within the city: Gregory lake, Lovers leap waterfall and Single tree hill.

We had the room with the best view to the city and the valley, but in return wifi signal was somewhat poor. Should be better in the other rooms, or at least that’s what we heard. We had local sim cards so didn’t really bother us.

Besonders nett war, dass wir einen Tag ohne Zusatzkosten abreisen konnten.
Das Essen ist unbedingt zu empfehlen!
Das Zimmer war sauber, aber ziemlich heruntergekommen (lag wohl auch an dem Preis von 14 € pro Nacht).
Was wir aber nicht verstehen konnten, war, dass im Esszimmer sehr viele schwarze Stellen (Schimmel?) an der Wand waren.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Von dort oben hat man eine tolle Aussicht.
Der Berg ist zu steil um mit dem TukTuk im ersten Gang anzufahren. Unsere Gastgeber mussten uns jedes mal mit anschieben, damit wir den Berg hochkommen.

Понравилось три момента: наличие горячей воды в душе с хорошим напором, удобная кровать, милые обезьянки, которые приходят к вам по утрам.
Выбирая данное жильё, я наивно ориентировался на отличные отзывы. Тут и завтраки с ужинами, тут и экскурсии, и предоставление тук-тука, наличие интернета на территории, удобное месторасположение с короткой дорогой к центру. По факту: на ноябрь 2023 года ни один хороший отзыв не актуален.
1. Отвратительное расположение. Жильё находится высоко на горе, куда не могут найти дорогу местные таксисты, а тук-тук вообще отказывается ехать. По обещанной короткой дороге вы будете спускаться минут 15, а подъем очень сложный.
2. Не предоставляются ни завтраки, ни ужины, которые были описаны во всех отзывах. На мой вопрос об ужине и его стоимости, хозяйка мне ответила "Сегодня ты без ужина, потому что ушёл в город", а по поводу завтрака ответ был "Завтра увидишь". По итогу не увидел ничего в течении 5 дней.
3. Ни про какие экскурсии и предоставление тук-тука никто и слова не сказал.
4. Сигнал Wi-Fi полностью отсутствует. Точка.
5. Обращаю внимание, что при бронировании номера делюкс, вы получаете террасу, на которую выходят ещё два номера. Она не индивидуальная.
6. Запах нафталина отовсюду, как и практически везде. Но это общая проблема Шри-Ланки.

There is a small footpath that can go to the city quickly, there is also a good view and the bathroom is super clean.
I'm not happy with the wifi because it's just buffering even though it's connected to me. One thing I felt especially when talking to the host is that they don't like local tourists. As I am a solo traveler, they took my details and took a photo of my identity and told me to give every detail to the police because I am traveling alone on a bike so they may be suspicious of me.

Very friendly family that runs the homestay. They helped me out a lot while preparing for a local wedding. Rooms were clean and had a nice view. The walk to the city center is a nice 10 min walk.

Amazing stay! The family who run this hotel were absolutely lovely. We were greeted with local Sri Lankan tea and cake and the biggest smiles. The room was spacious and had nice views from the balcony. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk into the centre so great location too

This family will do EVERYTHING to make you feel good and comfy on their house. I get attached to their kids whom are very smart and hardworkers and i really appreciate that!
I recommend you to eat at their place, it’s very cheap and everytime you’ll have different tasty food!

We had a very nice time in Nuwara Eliya. Thanks to the host family we could really enjoy our stay here. They are very kind and try to help wherever they can. The room was clean and we even got a very early breakfast before our departure. We would definetly recommed to stay here!

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We had a great breakfast which was prepared very thoughtful and delicious. We were welcomed with some nice tea and sweets. Definitely worth the trip and we would recommend the stay!

Our stay at Zion was very comfortable and enjoyable. The room was nice and we loved the balcony. Ann’s cooking was the best part! It was so tasty and there was so much of it. Ann also helped arrange a tuktuk tour for us which was fantastic and really reasonably priced.
Nothing not to like, however there are not a lot of places to eat in Nuwara Eliya. Ann’s cooking is definitely the best place to eat!

Don't overthink it, book your stay here! Host family is warm and goes out of their way to get the most from your time in town. Helpful with transportation and restaurant recommendations. The room was great -- nice touches and the windows and balcony have great views.
Worked great for us. It's a 10 minute walk into town -- something we enjoyed, but if you're not comfortable with the walk you could grab a Tuk Tuk from town any hour of the day for less than $1.

We enjoyed our stay of 2 nights here - waking up to amazing views, facilities all working and clean, very tasty food which the mother of the family cooks. Help with arranging tuktuk tour and tuktuk from Nanu Oya upon request.
(10 minute walk to the center but the center isn't the place you want to stay as you miss the views and it's lively/noisy.)

I really like the owner and his family - very hospitable and nice people. Location - on the hill, but close to the main street. One the best rice & curry in I ve tried in Sri Lanka. Room is quite big and comfy. Great value for money.

The hosts were really friendly and they gave us enough blankets since Nuwara Eliya can get a bit cold and rainy. The rooms are simple but that’s totally fine for the price we paid.
