Hotel was overall good.
But you can tell that it was dated - first thought that came to mind was that it's definitely not the same as the pictures, so that was a bit disappointing. The staff kinda made it up. Kalum at the front desk was pretty good.
The hotel not looking the same as in the pictures was disappointing. Location is general was okay but as there were huge trees in front of the hotel, there really isn't a view - I understand that its not something the hotel controls as the trees were inside the Victoria Park, but if this view was something that was I was aware of, it would have helped with my decision.

The rooms were large, cosy and very comfortable with multiple blankets for warmth if needed. The pillows were the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka, as was the shower, which was both hot and powerful.
The location is a short walk from main sites/ cafes/ restaurants etc.
There is a pool table which we enjoyed using with our son. We also had a lovely balcony.
The service from Sidney and Callum is particularly was outstanding. Sidney helped us arrange a lovely tuk tuk tour of the local sites and the tuk tuk driver (Indika) was also a really lovely man.
Excellent value!
Decor is a bit dated, but for all the positives and price this wouldn’t prevent us from staying again in future.

It was an awkward location. The showers were old and quite mouldy. Breakfast was disappointing
