Hotel de montaña a pocos minutos de la ciudad

Un bonito hotel de montaña a pocos minutos de la ciudad, hermosas vistas, las instalaciones muy limpias y con diferentes temáticas, la habitación bastante amplia y resalta sobre todo la excelente atención de Rubén y su personal. Fui con mi esposa y definitivamente volveremos!

we loved CheTica!

it was a beautiful property with lovely rooms. very cute and very clean.

one of our beds could have been a little softer but still was not bad. the food at the restaurant/kitchen was delicious and ample portions. the omelets tat breakfast were to die for! Ruben, his wife and staff were helpful and friendly. We will be back!

Property with great location

Great location. Just ~40 min. drive from the airport. Easy to find following the instructions given from the property manager. Nice backyard. Very tasty breakfast. Friendly people. Quite and spacious room. Very secure parking.

Property is wrongly maped on Google maps and Waze. Make sure to follow the instructions given by the property manager. Room was furnished with outdated furniture. Bad was uncomfortable. Room smelled like mold. Was charged extra ~5$ than the listed price by booking because we choose the credit card payment method.

Very pleasant surprise

This architecturally unique (and somewhat elegant) lodge has large and comfortable rooms with great shower. Management and staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast (included) was excellent, as was the dinner ($20 extra). Location along Ct 22 is actually convenient for Heredia/ Eastern San Jose, while being away from the busy city.

Sorry - can't think of anything that I didn't like. Parking might be an issue if hotel filled with guests with cars.

Beautiful place, staff were very helpful but you couldn’t walk anywhere as it was just off highway

The location was beautiful but in the middle of nowhere, you need to get a taxi to go anywhere. The people were lovely and very helpful, communication was not easy but thanks to Google we managed. The food was very good

Our room needed some attention the window vents didn’t work properly and as it was very windy it was a bit of a problem. However, we didn’t report it and I am sure it would have been sorted. The weather was cold, so the too was cold, however, we did have an open fire that was made up for us each day. The bathroom in our room needs updating. We were offered another room the day after our arrival but we decided to stay where we were.

Cute little place , must be great in good weather

The area where those cute little houses are surrounded is really pretty. The houses itself are very cute and create nice atmosphere, personel we met were all super nice and breakfast was delicious, hot shower was great and actually a total must in our case

We came in the rainy evening and it was super cold, the apartment we stayed in had a small heater but it was not enough to warm up the room, all I could think of was how cold and humid it was. So we just crawled into bed and tried to get warm. Shame because the place overall has a real charm but we just could not enjoy it.

Pleasant, restful and very accommodating!

The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The staff was very efficient. Nice location. Pretty view. Nice size room. Electric fireplace. Dinner and breakfast was very good.

Fantastic hotel for the first night of our holiday

Excellent location, close to San Jose after a long journey from the UK, but far enough out for us to feel like we were in the country. the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and quirky, and the dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious.

A really nice surprise

A really nice surprise. The hospitality of the owner and all the staff, the nice room, the great surroundings, a very nice breakfast and a really, really good dinner. Very close to Braulio Carrillo national park. Thank you for a great stay.

perfect location to make a stop after a long intercontinental flight while traveling to Puerto Viejo. Amazing breakfast! Ruben is a great and friendly

Pleasure to stay there. Both breakfast and dinner were some of the best meals I've had so far

Quaint rooms and beautiful grounds. Employees were extremely helpful and responsive

Although out of their control, the credit card reader was not working so had to use alternative methods for payment

We will be back to enjoy another lodge!

The property was so unique and beautifully maintained. The owner was available to check us in and made sure all was well. Never been at a setting like this!

It was close to the mountain pass highway so there was a lot of truck noise.

Very relaxing, beautiful way to end our Costa Rican vacation.

Very warm, friendly staff. The owners are exceptionally welcoming to their property. Excellent location when 1st arriving in Costa Rica or winding down your visit. Beautiful grounds, delicious food. Wonderful service!

Weird vibe, nice owners

The owners are really nice and even brought me some of their dinner one night. I had problems with internet and cell reception in the first room so they moved me to another. The rooms are spacious and nice.

There’s no front desk, you have to call the owners if you need help. There is no dining room, food is brought to your room by nurses (yes, in scrubs.) There seemed to always be someone knocking on my door for one reason or another so it didn’t feel very private. The highway is pretty loud all night. Cleaners showed up to clean my room around me an hour before checkout.
