About this house rental
Located in Oak Island, this lovely house for $300 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Charming 3 Bedroom/2 Bath well appointed vacation home located at 2208 East Beach Drive. You will absolutely love heading over to the beach where you will feel like the beach is all yours. We take pride in our well maintained home away from home. New living room furniture March 2024 and remodeled hallway bathroom Jan 2024. You will always arrive to a comfortable, well cleaned home. Our weekly rental prices include general cleaning charges but linens and towels are NOT included. The kitchen is stocked with all of your favorite pots, pans, dishes and utensils just like home. Oak Island is a beautiful paradise. You will find Oak Island to be a quiet, family oriented beach community located between Wilmington, NC and N. Myrtle Beach, SC.

We loved the property; we liked the closeness to the beach and especially that it was dog friendly. Owners were very quick to respond to our questions, we appreciated that. Will definitely stay again and recommend to our friends. I felt like I was staying at someone's home, from the kitchen with all the cooking items you could need to the board games and books!

We always have a super experience when staying at the beach bucket. Freda and Allen are always the best communicators and the property has everything you need from a great beach access, usable items (which we always contribute to and leave as well for the next guest), and it is always very clean

The house was so inviting, neat & clean. The decorations looked absolutely adorable in every room & gave us the relaxing vibe during our stay. The beach access was basically across the street. The house may not have been on the water, but we could still see the ocean in between the houses & heard the waves crashing which made everything else that much more relaxing. It was fun looking & reading the little guest book, and we wrote in it as well from our stay.
This is going to sound silly but there were only a couple of things that were “wrong”. There weren’t any more rolls of toilet paper, only what was on the roller. Like I said, SILLY 😜!
The only other thing wrong was that we should’ve stayed longer!

This house is very nice, close to the beach and stores and has everything you need. Alan and Freda were extremely accommodating and very concerned about us with the hurricane and checked on us many times. Also, the few issues we had they IMMEDIATELY addressed and all in all, they are very gracious and wonderful people!! Would definitely recommend the Beach Bucket!

We are NC locals and wanted to show my visiting parents NC beaches for a few nights. The Beach Bucket was beach perfect! So close to beach access for my 80 year old mother. Great times and memories made in the short time we stayed. Would definitely stay again. Glad we found this listing!

We loved the easy walk to to the beach, the front porch, the bedroom set up, the outdoor shower! The steps on the front and side of the house and gate on the front was perfect for our little dog. The space to park in back was great for our family to come over and have places to park. The house was furnished well and comfortable. The living room connected to the kitchen table area was perfect for our family to spend time together. The walk across to get to the beach was so easy and perfect as we had ages from 14 up to 80 years old with us. We will definitely rent here again! Owners have it set up seamlessly and communication was great! Thank you for a great vacation!

We so enjoyed this property. I would return to this property. It was perfect for our family. Everything was clean. Kitchen was stocked perfect! The bed were very comfortable. Only thing wrong is we couldn't stay longer.

were comfortable ;twin beds were not. We were not happy about having to apply our sheets and launder our linens and towels before leaving.

This was the second time renting this house. Love the location. We brought our fur babies both times and the closeness to the beach access is great. If I had to say one thing bad that would be the couch was broke 2 years ago when we stayed and it is still broke ( it’s like you are sliding when sitting on it ). Other than that the home is great and will rent again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Bucket, the only thing I could wish for was a fence in the back yard, even a small dog run as we had to keep our dog on the lease or a lead when she was outside.

Upon entering the house we noticed a strong smell of kitchen odors and cigarette smoke. The kitchen needs total renovation. Permanent neighbor smokes on his front porch and smoke drifts to the rental home front porch. We do not reccomend.

My whole family loved this place. It was just the right size for the 5 of us. Really liked that it had towels and kitchen stuff so we didn't have to pack extra things. We also took advantage of the beach goodies like the cart, sand toys, and body boards. The kids loved those! (Who am I kidding? My husband and I did too!) You can't beat closeness of the beach access for the price. And I'm already missing watching and listening to the waves from the front porch while I drink my coffee in the morning. :) The neighbor who lives there was super nice and laid back too. We hope to come back and visit again someday!

"The Beach Bucket" property was beautiful and we enjoyed the porch especially! The porch had rocking chairs and a gate to keep our dog safe. It was like a home away from home. It is located beside a very nice neighbor who was always helpful and friendly as well. We would like to stay again soon! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

You feel at ease the moment you walk in the door. Access to the beach was very easy and the view from the front porch is nice. An added bonus was the next door neighbor Chris and his fur baby Max.

This house is in the best location - only a short walk to the beach! Only minutes from the grocery stores. Our family had a great week and have already booked our vacation here again next year!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, nothing broken, lots of pots, pans, etc.. for cooking. Outdoor sand shower and hose out front were super handy for a quick clean-up after coming in from the beach. Very quick, friendly, and helpful communications with the owners.

Home-based for our beach wedding
I'd like to thank Freda and Allen for being so welcoming and quick to respond to all my questions and requests. This is a great property and is the perfect place to host a family event. We had a fairytale experience and will definitely be returning for our anniversary. :)

Easy Breezy
The Beach Bucket was perfect for our family. It was very quaint making for easy cleanup especially for our 3 night stay. The beach was right across the street. We loved being able to walk back to the house for lunch to return to our spot in the sand later. We didn’t have a wagon to haul the few things we had but the Beach Bucket did. Thank you. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Beach Bucket for a simple family getaway.

The cottage is just a short walk to the beach.
Lots of amenities. My granddaughter loved playing in the sandbox with the toys provided by the property owners. Definitely family friendly.Highly recommended for your next beach trip.

Short weekend away
The house was just as expected. Very close to public access of beach. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough for golf cart ride to the stores. Beds slept great! Kitchen was well stocked! Will be back soon!

Finally, the owners sent us a message about a week before saying we were responsible for laundering all the bedding and towels before leaving. Because check out was at 10am, this meant we had to buy sheets for the house so we could give ourselves time to clean and dry all the sheets. The cleaning fee was low ($75), but this was a hassle that was unexpected with a VRBO. While those were our concerns, we still felt the house met all our needs and contributed to a positive vacation experience.
