Located in Chincoteague Island, this lovely house for $161 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This traditional style Chincoteague home has an eat-in kitchen, living space, as well as a single bedroom downstairs and two double beds in an upstairs loft. There is one full bath that includes a washer & dryer. The home could sleep a family maximum of 6 (adults with children), or about 4 adults, with 3 full sized beds, as well as a twin pull out cot. The home has central air. Parking is available for two vehicles. The house is located close to Memorial Park (site of the annual pony swim) which has a playground for children, tennis courts, as well as free fishing for out-of-state residents who may not hold a fishing license. Minutes away from Assateague Island, enjoy sitting on the back porch after a long day at the beach, and rest comfortably inside this quaint little home. Please Note: NO Wifi or cable at this time!!

The house was super cute, no Wi-Fi or cable which was told to us before our stay. There are a bunch of board games and some dvds there though. It was only 15 minute golf cart ride from Assateague which was nice.

The house was spotlessly clean, and well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and linens. Michelle was kind enough to leave beach towels for us (which we didn't end up using because the weather was cool and rainy). We enjoyed reading "Misty of Chincoteague" (2 copies provided) and watching the movie version on DVD. There is a nice collection of books about birds. The washer and dryer came in handy. The supermarket and shopping area are a few minutes' drive. We enjoyed playing mini golf, and going out on a Daisey's tour, during which we were rewarded with seeing the Chincoteague ponies!

Our second stay at this house was even better than the first time! As soon as I walked in, I remembered why I loved this house the first time. There is just something very homey, unique, and comfortable about it. The layout of the house works pretty well for our family, and the kids enjoyed the little bit of yard space available. My only suggestion is to put a queen bed in one of the bedrooms, preferably the downstairs bedroom. Nonetheless, a great place to stay. I'd return for a third stay for sure.

This is the 2nd time I stayed here, 1st time with husband this time with mom and sister. We enjoyed the accommodations along with the beauty of the island, refuge and beach. Plan to return with the family again. Always a blessing, thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven on earth.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean was equipped as listed, the communication with the manager was excellent and prompt. The location was very good and not that far from any of the beaches, shopping and restaurants. We will not hesitate to return.

I selected this location due to the closeness of the event I was attending. But since this a very old house, it was musty smelling, had a dangerous staircase, ants whenever a crumb was left on the counter and no WiFi or a way to even watch local TV. The rooms were all tiny and dark. So if you want to experience life as it was in 1940, this is the house for you.

The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. One thing to note, unless you like cold showers, you'll need to make sure to hurry up because the hot water runs out pretty quickly. Definitely use the clothesline in the backyard for your towels and swimsuits because the dryer can't handle large loads and it's faster and more effective to dry things outside. The back porch was nice to sit on in the evenings and the yard is really cute. Definitely a great place to stay, close to everything and a good home base for the beach and whatever activities you enjoy!

enjoyed our stay in the cottage with coastal charm. very clean! beds were comfortable. kitchen was well stocked. cold ac and hot water. close drive to main street and beaches. literally steps away from tom's cove aquafarm where you can buy a bag of delicious clams/oysters. would definitely stay again!

This is the third time we've stayed at this particular property. It's in a great location, quick/easy access to everything, and is the perfect size for our family of four. We're always comfortable there, which is why we continue to rent each year.

A comfortable place to stay and although it’s not walking distance to shops or restaurants it’s biking distance and/or a quick drive. The decor reflects the rich history of the Island (my family has been coming here for 40 years). This is the 2nd time we’ve rented the house, Michelle has always been responsive and helpful. The only negative I noticed this time was that the 4th person showering after the beach didn’t get enough hot water.

My family has a wonderful time on Chincoteague island. This VRBO served as a perfect home base. It's close to all the attractions and was a short drive back if we needed to come back mid-day. The house was clean, smelled great and had everything we needed. I hope we will be able to stay at the same location during future visits.

The cottage was just perfect for myself, my daughter and two of her friends. We loved being close to main street, while also bring in a quiet street. It's easy to rent bikes and get all over town and to the beach. The host was super responsive leading up to our trip and we had a great time.

We had a wonderful stay at this perfect little island cottage! The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our family of 6. We loved the thoughtfulness put into the decor and enjoyed taking it all in! The kids especially loved the back porch and little yard. The drive to the beach was under 15 minutes and close enough that we could come back 'home' for lunch and a break from the heat of the day. We love Chincoteague and how family oriented the island is; another great trip in the books! We are so glad we found this little gem. Thank you for offering your home and we hope to visit again soon!!

After reading the reviews about this property I was excited to experience it and it didn't disappoint! The house size and layout was perfect for my family of 4. The house was very clean at check-in. The furnishings were comfortable and supply of household items was plentiful. We had no problem feeling "at home" here for 4 days. Of the half dozen or so VRBO properties I have stayed in, this is my favorite! I highly recommend this little gem of a house.
