Views in New Zealand are stunning and this was one of my favorites. The layout of the house takes full advantage of the scenery while the rest of the house is functional.This location is pretty isolated with a narrow pass to get to Christchurch and not much in the area. We had an unique circumstances outside of our control (a cyclone and broken ferries left us without our rental car). We communicated this to the owner and he was less than helpfulI on how to get to the property. We expected more. His neighbors down the way were great and helped us. Love New Zealanders.

Wicked place with stunning views and extremely comfy bed

Lovely house to stay in such beautiful views of Lyttleton and right out to the heads. We enjoyed watching the sail boats and ships coming in. The house was well equipped everything you needed was there. lovely comfy bed. Maybe another small bedside cabinet would have been great beside the bed as there was only one. But all in all a wonderful place to stay and the house was beautifully clean and tidy. Nice and handy to the ferry for a trip across to Lyttleton. The views are outstanding , great location. Highly recommend this holiday home.Thanks so much.

Loved everything about our stay in the property. Beautiful location and loved the property. Owners left concise easy instructions and there was plenty of interesting books, magazines etc to keep us amused on the one rainy day we had. Interesting watching all the ships, boats etc going to and from Lyttleton Harbour. Comfy beds and everything you could need for a stay. Thanks Caroline and Oliver

Such an awesome place to stay and relax for a holiday. Warm and cosy. Close to play areas, grocery store and the wharf is not far either. Lots of good walks too. We highly recommend staying here.

A real gem! To wake up to those incredible views was an absolute pleasure. The beds were so comfy too. The shower was super powerful. Diamond Harbour is lovely. Great pub/cafe in centre and lovely walks all round.

House had everything we needed for a relaxing time away. Beds were super comfy, house was lovely and warm and got all day sun. Beautiful location with stunning views.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our visit to Diamond Harbor. It is remote and businesses close early so plan accordingly. House had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

The bach has beautiful views over Lyttleton harbour and the convenience if the Diamond Harbour ferry is so worth the while. Tranquil and peaceful with everthing you would need. The beds are super comfy. Loved the Proteas in the garden. Will definitely visit again. Thank you kindly.

Wonderful quirky house with spectacular views. Beds were super comfy and there were plenty of kitchen/pantry items. We noticed the kitchen drawers had a decent amount of dirt in them but other than that it was a great stay!

Such a beautiful location, the view was stunning, the furniture and beds were so comfortable. Instantly felt at home. The bach had everything you needed and super helpful owners.

We loved staying here. The place has a friendly, welcoming vibe and heaps of character. Really enjoyed the split level layout with breathtaking views from just about every room. A short drive to the local shops or the jetty to catch a ferry to Lyttelton, which is fun. A truly magic place and highly recommended.

Overall we were happy. But there was some minor annoyance, like dripping taps, broken toilet roll holder. We did enjoy the place and would stay again. We really enjoyed the views

This charming, easily heated house looks straight down Lyttelton Harbour/ Whakaraupo to the heads and feels like you are suspended above Diamond Harbour/ Te Waipapa itself, watching the ferries and the yachts and the diving kereru/ wood pigeons. The weather is all around you from the snow-dusted hilltops above Purau to the clouds coming in from the south and east.

The place was fabulous - comfortable, great views, had everything we needed & great communication with Oliver. Thoroughly recommend it as a wonderful, relaxing place to recharge. Very handy to Lyttelton by ferry.

This remarkable home on Diamond Harbour has unbelievably stunning views! I had a fabulous stay and my hosts were incredibly attentive and responsive. The home was spotless, comfortable and cozy. It’s a perfect home for a fabulous holiday!

We had a great weekend away with our friends. The kitchen was well equipped & so easy to feel at “home” in !! The awesome space & views were just perfect … I would recommend this to everyone who wanted to stay in Diamond harbour !! A great holiday home in a wonderful location. An interesting house design on different levels with sun and multiple views. Lovely interior decor & furnishings and excellent spaces to look at the view. Water, hills, walking tracks and supermarket within walking distance. We loved it!
