About this house rental
Nestled in Seacrest, this attractive house for $547 per night is a great choice for your next break. Gorgeous beach home has terrazzo floors with Oriental rugs and tasteful furniture that fill the living and sleeping areas. Bedrooms feature queen-size beds. The large, glassed-in solarium (porch) of Villa Sounion serves as the third bedroom and overlooks the beach with fabulous views of the emerald water, dolphins, and exquisite gulf sunsets. Set on a bluff, wood decking and steps take you down to the gulf and crystal white sands. Fishing from the shores will ensure your dinner, and crabbing at dusk is an added bonus. PLEASE NOTE: there is a four night minimum mid March through September and a four night minimum October through December. Enjoy panoramic views of the emerald gulf in your private tropical home where you do not have to share walls with strangers. This home comes complete with your own private driveway and private parking. It is a quaint, older retro style stucco beach house that has been in our family for several generations and is reminiscent of past family beach holidays. For those who golf, Panama City beach area has been chosen as the third best 'golf destination' in the nation There is an option to split payments if necessary. We had a great week at Sounion, a beautiful "Old Florida" beach house with a Florida room overlooking the emerald water and white sands of Seacrest. We loved the lounge chairs on the front patio set high on the dunes and the comfortable living areas inside. The driveway through the live oak alley brought us from bustle of 30-A to a serene and peaceful retreat. We had two couples and two dogs. We look forward to returning in 2024!

Great location! Loved our stay. Stephanie was quick to respond and offer tips of where to go in the area. The house was exactly as pictured, with updated TVs not shown in photos. Loved its charm as it reminded me of the house I grew up in that was built in the same era. Kids loved the sunroom, ate and played there. My daughter also preferred sleeping there instead of in the bedroom with her brother. We all loved our visit.

The home is exactly as described. You are stepping back in time to Old Seagrove days. I admire the owner Stephanie for holding strong and providing an opportunity to experience Seagrove as it used to be, at least at this house. I felt as though I were visiting my grandparents old FL home. If you’re looking for modern and shiny, this isn’t for you. If you are looking for clean, practical, nostalgic, maybe a little something that needs attention here and there that feels like home with a PHENOMENAL view, this is your kind of vacation rental! I cannot wait to return. Loved every minute spent in this charming beach cottage. Stephanie is dedicated to caring for and preserving this family heirloom that is very loved. So thankful she is willing to open it up to guests. We will be back ❤️🌊

The stay was a senior trip of sorts for my daughter and a much needed getaway for me! We enjoyed our stay so much and hated to leave. The house was perfect for the four of us. Very private considering the location. The ocean views are amazing. We hope to come back to this area again someday!

It’s hard to find a 2 bedroom 2 bath house on the beach. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and will stay again. It would be nice if the property came with bikes to use. We brought our own and enjoyed riding around. They do have them to rent nearby as well.

April is the time of year that I try to be in happy places as much of month as possible. It’s the anniversary month of when I last saw my older son, Vince, before he went missing for almost 3 weeks. He had walked 2 miles into a densely wooded conservation area to take his life. Thankfully, God finally sent a hunter in that direction who find him, or I’d still be looking for him all these 29 years since he lost all hope. So, since April is tough we head to Laurel MS (HGTV’s HomeTown…my very favorite show) for a 4 day weekend and then on to a Gulf Coast beach. This year I chose Casa De Sounion! Oh my, the views are amazing. It’s such a quiet peaceful place! We enjoyed naps on the chaise lounges, watching the sea gulls, pelicans, sandpipers, and grilling for supper. We also loved reading under the shade of the palm trees and watching the dolphins! It was perfect; just what was needed for such a time as this.

We really enjoyed our stay! Stephanie was great at communicating and making sure we had all the information we needed for our stay. The view is unbeatable! We loved this cozy beach cottage! The location was perfect. We had privacy and our own beach access, but still only minutes to all the cute areas to eat and shop. It felt quieter which we liked! We enjoyed riding our bikes and found that was the best way to get around. We also loved having our Australian labrodoodle with us. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your family beach home with us. We hope to come back again soon.

Beautiful view, clean house, all the basics you need, plenty of hand/bath towels, pots/pans, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, bedding, etc. This was a great deal for the price. We have booked again for next year. Being on the beach was so relaxing, it as great not to have to pack everything for a day beach trip. Everything we needed was right up the stairs. It was so nice to be able to take our fur babies, please abide by house rules for pets so that pets will continue to be allowed. Host contacted us on check-in day and offered an early check in as the house was done being cleaned. There was one beach chair on the beach by the stairs, but we had taken our own. There is a Beach Chair Rental magnet on the refrigerator if you need to rent chairs for a week. Most relaxing vacation we have ever had!

We have been visiting Florida for many years and have stayed in numerous rentals. This one, by far has been our absolute favorite. Stunning views and easy access to the beach was great. Property is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Looking forward to another stay in the immediate future.

My husband and I booked for Christmas at the beach and we could not have been happier with this original beach cottage. I'm pretty sure they're aren't many like this one left. As soon as you turn into the driveway you can see the ocean and the views are phenomenal from the living room, kitchen and Florida room. Peaceful and Beautiful. Just what We needed..

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Melody, the housekeeper, was delightful and thorough.
The kitchen was well stocked which was a plus since we ate in every night. We had a great time crabbing! And they were delicious! One suggestion: I think you might buy some wine glasses. (Almost all of the glasses were plastic.)
Having the hose and shower by the back door was so convenient! But most of all, the privacy and the incredible view was a treasure. It was such fun walking along the beach day and night. The stars were bright and the sunsets were unparalleled. We look forward to coming back and staying longer!

We booked our trip having read reviews and viewed the photos and it was exactly as expected! Charming 1970's ranch directly on the beach! This little treasure box was well stocked and sparkling clean upon arrival. An unexpected pipe burst proved challenging for about 24 hours but the landlord, property manager, and contractor did a superb job handling the situation. They fixed the pipe and quickly dealt with consequential issues immediately. They responded to related issues promptly and openly communicated until all was resolved. Although this unplanned event was unpleasant for about a day, it couldn't have been handled better! We are grateful to find an affordable beach front house to rent with such beautiful views. We enjoyed sunrise walks and sunset drinks all within steps of the house. The added bonus was having our previous pup with us to enjoy chasing birds and digging tunnels on the beach. We followed the Walton County approved times for dogs on the beach and had no trouble with beach patrol. For dog owners please follow the house rules so the landlord won't be forced to exclude pets:)

We enjoyed Stephanie’s beach home. It reminded us of Old Florida stays with our parents and siblings. The location is outstanding. The steps to the beach were well maintained. We enjoyed cooked breakfast there but went out often for lunch and dinner. There’s a new Publix nearby with a great deli selection. We’ll be back.

This is the best place on the beach! Perfect location and the best host to work with! We had a great time and Stephaine is awesome. She is very personable and responsive. She even went above and beyond to help us when we had to leave early for a unexpected medical situation. We look forward to our next stay!! Don’t hesitate to book this hidden gem!!

This home was exactly what we were looking for. The location is convenient but it's not quite as busy as other areas nearby. The view is absolutely unbelievable. The house itself is cozy and had everything we needed, and Stephanie is a fantastic host. Like other reviewers have noted, this isn't a luxury rental, but there are dozens upon dozens of condos nearby if that's your thing. This property is a wonderful escape from all of that, though, and that's exactly what we wanted.

Location is amazing! The views from the home were awesome! The home was clean and had what we needed! Beach was not crowded even on the weekend. If you get a chance go to St Andrews Park, the beach was so beautiful!! Clearest and bluest waters around! I definitely would return! Actually wish I was still there! I tried to rent the home another night, but it is a home that’s in high demand! Price is great. It’s not the most luxurious… it is practical. Affordable and loved the privacy she made with overgrown bushes on one side.

We had a lovely stay. The house feels secluded but is very close to Watersound Pkwy so it was easy to get anywhere we needed to be without having to travel the length of 30A. We loved the house! It is not a new build like so many on the beach nowadays but that is it's biggest perk! The view from the living room is amazing and the beach was not crowded at all. Even stormy days were great because of the view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house was perfect for our family of teenagers and rescue dog that now goes with us everywhere. The house was very clean and well stocked. From sunrise to sunset to star gazing at night, the view was exceptional. We took a long walk and couldn’t believe how crowded it got in other areas. Stephanie was responsive and easy to communicate with. This place is a rare find and we hope to return soon!

This property is exactly what you see in the pics. It is a family beach cottage that is functional and basic—it is not professionally decorated and does not have some conveniences that you may be used to (dishwasher, garbage disposal). What is does have is an incredible location on a beautiful beach for a price that cannot be beat on 30A. It’s old, but it is clean. It sits back from the road and has a small yard with overgrown hedges that provide some privacy from close neighbors. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach was never crowded even in prime tourist season. We had all of the basic kitchen supplies we needed but you need to bring most toiletries. Plenty of towels and bedding. Mattresses were adequate. The owner was helpful and answered all of our questions. The cleaning lady also contacted us personally and we were given her cell# if we had any issues (we did not). Couple of things I thought were worth mentioning…the set-up is perfect for dogs, but there are stickers in the grass/hedges that I had to pull from their paws several times (this isn’t exclusive to this house, they got them on our long walks in other areas as well). Just something to watch out for if your dog (or you)walks in the grass. Also, a new (beautiful) home has been built right next to the house. So the home is not quite as secluded as it looks from the pics. Dogs are not officially allowed on the beach, however, the beach was not patrolled early morning or in the evening, and we were not the only people that let our doggies get their little paws in the sand occasionally. A new couch and loveseat has been purchased since the pics in the listing were taken. They are clean and comfortable. Also, new larger tv’s and the one in the living area is a smart tv. The Florida room on the back is not air-conditioned, so keep that in mind if you plan on using it for a sleeping area. The owner let us know ahead of time and we were able to open the 3 sets of double doors that led to the main house + use two fans that are available and our teen boys were comfortable. If you want a luxe vacation home with all the bells and whistles, you need to rent one of the neighboring homes (and you will pay for it), but if you are going for the beach, and an incredible view, you absolutely will not find a better home for this price! We would not hesitate to stay here again!

I really enjoyed the stay and would stay there again. The view and location was wonderful. The My only complaint is the TVs are small. It would have been nice to have a larger TV in the den and to have a larger bed (queen or king) in one of the bedrooms. Other than that, it was wonderful!
