Located in Savannah, this lovely cottage for $351 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. REDUCED RATES for the OFF-SEASON!! Check it out and come on over!! The Washington Square Carriage House is a free standing cottage with a private entrance on the lane/alley. It is located behind The Washington Square Main House and guests share the center/private courtyard & garage below. During the horse-and-buggy days, Savannah’s carriage houses were the sleeping quarters of the family's carriage drivers. The drivers were responsible for the care of the horses & the carriages housed in what we now use as auto-garages. This painstakingly restored & converted carriage house offers one highly coveted garage parking space and is located in Savannah’s Landmark Historic District on picturesque Washington Square. This home is only 2 blocks from Historic River Street & the Savannah River. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor over the garage so there is a flight of stairs leading up to the home. The carriage house has an open living room and kitchen with island seating for 4. The fully outfitted kitchen is equipped with all the essentials to whip up a meal. Each of the 2 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms & queen size beds. The walled courtyard offers a quite oasis to sip a cocktail and chat with guests from the main house. TVs: We provide free WIFI but NO cable, so please bring your login info for your favorite apps! All TVs are new and updated with current apps. PARKING: This reservation includes ONE private, garage parking space under the apartment. Parking for additional vehicles: This area has metered, on-street parking. The City of Savannah uses Meter Pay Stations on each block. You can download the APP "ParkSavannah" to pay meters from your phone OR Visitor Parking Passes are available for 24hours/$15.00 and 48hours/$24.00. Passes can be purchased at the City of Savannah Parking Services Office at 100 East Bryan Street. NOISE: This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do not allow loud noise, music or parties of any sort. Violators may be evicted and/or fined. NO BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE GROUPS!! MAXIMUM OCCUPANY is 4 people at any/all times, including children/infants. Guest must be 25 years old to reserve. No exceptions. No smoking or pets. Cancellations: If you reserve & cancel AFTER we have processed the reservation, we will NOT refund the credit card processing fee. We use a 3rd party credit card processing company & they do NOT refund these fees to us if a guest cancels. You will also be charged a $50 cancellation fee PLUS the credit card processing fee. Great stay with you guys. Location was close and convenient for us. Would stay again. One slight thing, which might have been an oversight, there where only 4 towels and wash clothes for 4 people for 4 nights for the entire stay. So we had to wash towel’s everyday.

We loved our stay at the Carriage House. The location is excellent and within walking distance of everywhere. The property was just as described and very cozy and comfortable. The only issue we had was we were only given one towel per person.
I highly recommend this property and would rent it again.

We loved this property. My mom and had our own rooms and bathroom. Nice living area and back courtyard. Also extremely helpful to have a washer/dryer as this was the tail end of our trip and we were able to do laundry before heading home. Definitely recommend this place! They let us checkin a little early as well. We were coming from Charleston and arrived about 45 min early.

The Carriage House is perfect for either a Couple or a small group of up to 4 pals. We were there for a Girls Weekend. Four of us comfortably shared this perfectly appointed upstairs "apartment." The kitchen had all the features we needed and the host equipped our party with a bag of ice and a pitcher of filtered water for our morning coffee along with 2 packs of coffee. We were incredibly pleased with the location. The Shopping on Broughton Street was only 2 blocks away - an easy stroll back to unload all the goodies we purchased in the boutiques. This spot is also just a short stroll to River Street where you will find all the "must see and do" tours, bars, shops and restaurants. Having a spot in the garage made me feel especially relaxed because I knew my car was safe. I plan to return to Savannah with my little family of 3 next Spring and I know that I will try to book this home for our trip.

This is actually an apartment with a garage. The lane/alley is in such bad condition that a small or low riding car could get damaged. The bedrooms are very small and nowhere in the description of this property is there a mention of the 17-step staircase that you have to take from the ground floor garage up to the actual 2nd floor apartment. This is not an accessible apartment for anyone who has trouble with their hips, knees or legs. I would not recommend this property to anyone I know because of the size and the stairs.

We had some issues checking in and getting ahold of the management, but once sorted through, everything was great. We loved exploring Savannah and enjoyed staying in a comfortable place. The location was perfect and in walking distance to all of the restaurants, landmarks and shops we wanted to go visit. I would recommend.

The property is easy walking to everything, and in a quiet area of the historic district. Morning coffee and the Savannah Bike Tour company and the Olde Pink House for dinner is short walks, as is the River area. The courtyard provides a nice outdoor retreat. Garage parking is a plus! Great location! Bedrooms are very cosy but fine for a short stay.
Bathrooms are spacious and well appointed. Kitchen was well stocked. Garage is nice but might be a challenge for a large SUV. All in all, a great place for a weekend stay, but would get a little claustrophobic for a longer stay.
