About this house rental

Located in Estes Park, this lovely house for $1,366 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Permit #3499 WELCOME TO BOND MANOR Bond Manor is the residential estate of Estes Park's first sheriff, grocery store owner and force behind the creation of the road to Estes from Loveland; Cornelius H. Bond. In 1905 with several partners, Bond founded the Estes Park Town Co. and moved his family from Loveland. The following year, Abner Sprague surveyed the new village of Estes Park and included a park for the town's municipal buildings. In 1944, it was named Bond Park and today survives as the center of activity for the Town of Estes Park. Bond entered real estate business to sell lots in Estes Park. He knew that the success of the town as a tourist attraction would be tied to its wildlife. He paid half the expense of stocking the Big Thompson River with trout. During the late 1800s, elk had been hunted to extinction by hunters that supplied Denver restaurants with elk meat. Bond led the way in reintroducing elk into the valley. Elk were brought in by rail in 1913 and hauled by truck from the railhead in Lyons to the park where they were released. Little did Bond know the elk would be so successful that today, they would overpopulate the area. Bond was instrumental in helping Estes Park with its infrastructure. He was involved with the initiative to found the Estes Park Water Company and was one of the directors of the Estes Park Electric Light and Power Company. Built in 1914, Bond Manor is an integral part of Estes Park's rich history.
