About this condo rental

Situated in Barcelona, this lovely condo for £207 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. --Accommodation for families only. Guests need to be quiet at night while in the apartment. We do NOT accept stays of group of guests under 21 y.o., which are unaccompanied by adults (over 30 y.o.)-- Accessibility - 3 floors above street level. Elevator Apartment description - Bright and pretty 3.5 bedroom apartment (like a 4 bedroom, except access to one of the rooms is through another room) with 2 bathrooms one with bathtub, the other with shower, on the 4th floor (with elevator). This apartment has a glass-enclosed balcony, as well as a small balcony off the main bedroom. Also, it still has the century-old mosaic floors (a different design in every room), the original woodwork on the doors and windows, and high ceilings. Complete kitchen including oven, microwave oven and full-size refrigerator. 42' flat screen TV in living room. DVD player and DVD collection. For maximum comfort this apartment has central air-conditioning - and it also has got central gas heating. Location - The apartment is in the historical part of the Eixample area, at a short distance and midway from the Sagrada Familia temple and Passeig de Gracia shopping. Transportation - Near Verdaguer metro station (on yellow and blue lines) and several bus lines. Very easy to get to by taxi. Management - We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. We currently run 20 holiday apartments in Barcelona, 2 furnished homes in Dallas and 7 holiday apartments in Istanbul. Noise levels - Façade windows have double glazing, but there can be some street (traffic) but in just one of the bedrooms. The other three bedrooms are very quiet. Occupancy - The apartment is ideally suited for 8 people. It can sleep up to 8. Check-in and check-out - The apartment will be ready for you at 16 (4 PM) for occupancy. You can drop your bags in the office in the morning already. Check-out time is 11 AM. You can request reserved early check-in or late check-out for a small fee, subject to availability. There is no extra fee for nighttime check-in. Reservations - We conduct reservations by email, that way there is a written record of all communications and much less room for error. We do not take reservations or payments by phone.

Property was beautiful, spacious, and had gorgeous views. Easy access to groceries, restaurants, metro, and bus stops. Walking distance to many of the tourist sites. Only thing that could be better is the wifi - signal is spotty at best.

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and spacious apartment. 3 minutes walk to Verdaguer metro and lots of good places to eat within 5/10 minute walk. Would definitely stay again

The managers are very efficient and they have a modern way of check in, they were flexible and welcoming. However, the flat looks much better in the pictures. The bathrooms need updating and some real cleaning, there was mold in one of them. The floors of the flat also need some deep refurbishing. We had an extra guest, a little mouse who we named Mickey who we suspect came from the whole in the ceiling of the hallway. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was adequate. There is a need for bigger newer towels if they are to offer them. I think this property has a lot of potential but it needs a bit of deep cleaning and updating of the bathrooms. That being said water pressure was good and water was hot and plenty . The location was great . There was a lot of noise from the street and from some of the neighbors who decided to have a fight around 6 am on a Sunday ... thin walls. We were a very quiet group and we like to sleep in so this was a bit disappointing.

There aren't many places that can comfortably accommodate a family of 8 so we were VERY happy to find this property. We had two problems during our stay, however, which were unresolved. The first is one of the two toilets did not flush properly and the flush valve seemed to be partially broken. Our morning email advising them of the problem was not responded to by that evening when the flush valve broke completely and the toilet became unusable. That's a problem when you have eight family members sharing a single toilet! To their credit, they sent a maintenance man immediately, but he did not have the correct replacement part and had to jury-rig a solution that only worked for a short while. We had to make do with a single toilet for all of us to share the last two days of our stay while they waited for the correct replacement part to arrive. The other problem is that the listing advertises WiFi availability, but only one or two of us was ever able to connect to any of the SSIDs they offered and then only for a short while before the connection was lost. You'd be surprised how much you rely on connectivity nowadays to book excursions, look up restaurants, plan the day's activities, etc.. and the grandparents and kids wanted to update their social media sites. I was unable to check-in with work and had to purchase an alternative form of Internet Connectivity. They claimed to have tried "resetting the routers" and that they sometimes had problems with iPhones, but admitted that there was some equipment missing from our apartment (a "Tower"?) that wouldn't be replaced until the day after our departure. My advice to future guests is not to rely on their claims about the WiFi service and to secure an alternative means of connectivity if that's important to you. I wish I could have rated them 5 Stars. As an owner of a VRBO property myself, that's what I would have wanted, but they had opportunities to fix fairly significant problems and were unable to do so during our stay.

This apartment was perfect for my 3 granddaughters, 2 daughters and me!! Location was perfect, apartment clean and owner was very anxious to please, always responding promptly when a question or request was made. A wonderful getaway in a charming, elegant, and magnificent city!!
