The property was very welcoming, Andrew was very friendly upon arrival and continued to be so, he was very talkative and was there if we needed any help at all. Room was clean and homely, bed was comfortable and dogs were very friendly.

Beautiful home right on the edge of the village of Tarbert, with friendly and welcoming hosts. My bed was comfortable, bathroom and shower were quite nice, breakfast was delicious. Excellent and peaceful place to stay!

Breakfast was pretty good, location was ideal for an overnight stay, handy to be close to the ferry port.
Obviously the steep steps up to the Moorings from the road, but that was already taken into consideration when booking.

This is a charming property set right on the waterfront where seals and otters play. The host is extremely friendly and helpful, putting some of my soaking wet motorcycle gear in his private rooms to help dry them. I opted to have breakfast at the property and was given the choice of anything I wanted. It's a wonderful location for exploring Kintyre and I definitely hope to return to see more of this beautiful area.

Super friendly hosts and the breakfast was exceptional. Short walk to everything in Tarbert and great views from the room.

Stunning location, lovely dogs. Booked two small but nicely furnished rooms.
Host wasn't particularly welcoming. Got the impression we were intruding. One room required sharing shower facilities with host.

Ideal location, wonderfully comfy beds, excellent breakfast with perfectly cooked fresh food and served hot. A particularly welcome touch was leaving a bottle of water on the tea tray for overnight. Also there was a great welcome.

Lovely room and decor, very friendly host, great location for restaurants and very quick to get to ferry terminal for Islay.
Wifi seemed a bit intermittent but as only staying overnight wasn’t too much of an inconvenience

Really nice hosts, quirky touches but nice modern decor rooms within characterful older building. Very helpful owners, good local tips and advice. Great views of the harbour entrance from front rooms. Just round the corner from the main harbour, so nice and quiet, but easy, easy walking distance to restaurants and pub.
No shower in the room itself (the only room that didn't) - but I knew this at time of booking, so not really a negative, is it? En-suite WC and handbasin in the room were much more important.

Very comfortable and hospitable. Beautiful views of harbour from my window.
No shower in en suite - but this was indicated in information.

nice location, clean, rooms were very well appointed
Hosts weren’t there when we arrived despite checking arrival time, and when they did they didn’t introduce themselves. They didn’t reply request for extra pillow cases for spare pillows in the room

the location , overlooking the fishing boats heading back to the harbour, a stones throw from both the Portavadie ferry in one direction and into Tarbert Main Street in the other.

Excellent location, great views, friendly & welcoming hosts, huge breakfast. Very clean, modern, but also quirky, decor. Interesting "collections" live all around the house, including a number of Pelham Puppets.
We felt the bed could have been bigger, it was a regular double & we are used to a superking bed!
