About this house rental
Located in Wisconsin, this lovely house for £535 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Completely licensed by the State and County. The Funkie Lil’ Shack is a large licensed 6-bedroom vacation home in Lake Geneva overlooking peaceful Lake Como and Geneva National on 85 feet of your own lakeshore. Our bedrooms provide plenty of space for you and your guests with two bedrooms on the main floor and four bedrooms on the second floor. Additional queen size sofa bed on the second floor and two additional twin size fold down couches in two of the bedrooms. Experience everything Lake Como offers with your own private pier for your boat or kayaks, ladders to get into/out of the lake and outside lawn furniture including a swing and hammock. Contact your host for information on boat rentals on Lake Como. Bring your swimming trunks and water shoes (Lake Como is a shallow soft bottom lake). The lake is only 10 feet at its deepest spot so the lake remains calm making it perfect for lounging, water skiing and tubing. You can even try your hand at catching some of the best tasting bass in Wisconsin. When you’re done fishing, a gas grill and fire pit with firewood is located on the property to grill your catch or cook your favorite meal on grill. First Floor Amenities The first floor includes a spacious great room, game room with pool table, two bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining area. • Main Bathroom: Jack and Jill style handicap accessible bathroom with a large walk in shower and dual sinks. • Bedrooms: Includes queen size comfortable beds, closets and dressers. • Great Area: Vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, Smart television with optional surround sound with DVD/VCR attached and additional HDMI cables to hook up your favorite gaming system. Cable is included. A large couch and recliner and an additional sitting area that faces out to your private lake view. • Dining Area: Has a formal table with 8 chairs. An additional table with 6 chairs is available for large gatherings. • Kitchen: Includes dual ovens and an electric stove top, fridge/freezer, water cooler and dishwasher. Being an Italian house, the kitchen has a wonderful selection of herbs & spices, pots, pans, coffee maker, crock pot and everything you need to make this house smell like your own Casa. • Half Bath: Located off the kitchen in the mud room • Mud Room: A washer and dryer and easy access to your deck where you can enjoy dinner and a glass of your favorite beverage overlooking the lake. • Pool Table Room: Has a café style table with chairs to engage in some wonderful bird watching and catch a glimpse of some interesting and usual birds. Second Floor Amenities The second floor has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. • Bedrooms: Three bedrooms come with queen beds. One bedroom comes with a full and two twin beds. • Optional Sleeping Area: If additional sleeping space is needed, a pull-out couch opening to a queen bed is in the loft area. • Bathrooms: One bathroom has dual sinks and a walk-in shower (showcased in magazines). The other bathroom has a bath and shower. Other Information and Amenities • Two pull down couches in two of the bedrooms for extra sleeping space. Comes with WiFi, cable and central air/heat. • The house has upgraded windows, carpet and solid flooring. • Parking space for five cars and additional parking a short walk away. • Located on the South West corner of Lake Como down a private secluded drive. • The hosts, Pauline and Dan, reside a short distance away in Lake Geneva and are available to assist you. We have heard horror stories about other hosts, mostly corporations, that list their properties on multiple sites and then "boot" guests at the last minute to take higher paying guests that give them offers from other sites. We don't play that game and only book on one site so your reservation is your reservation. So you can really relax and enjoy the beautiful area, a 3 night minimum stay is required from May - September and a 2 night minimum stay is required from November - April. There’s plenty of fun things to do and adventures to explore within the areas surrounding The Funkie Lil Shack. Plus, all are within a short drive. • Live concerts (Alpine Valley) • Town fairs • County fair • Over 15 different golf courses • Shopping • Restaurants, taverns, and entertainment. Great restaurants/bars are within walking distance: Mars, French Country and Geneva Ridge. Misc. Notes: The primary renter must be 25 years or older. No bachelor or bachelorette parties - this is a home for rest and relaxation and some time on the lake. All reservations require a deposit within 14 days of the time of checking-in in order to be honored. No pets. 10% discount on stays of 7 to 10 days. This house was a great place for a getaway. Our group of 13 (7 adults, 6 kids ages 3-12) were very comfortable here. The house is spacious, and well-appointed. The location is great - right on the lake and just a short drive to downtown Lake Geneva. We hope to be back soon!

My friends and I were celebrating a milestone birthday, and this house was perfect for our party. It was spacious, clean, and had great common spaces for gathering our full group. We stayed during a snowy January. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to stay during the summer.

Our group was planned for 10 (ended up being 8) and there was ample room for everyone with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 4 more bedrooms upstairs. Perfect to accommodate a large group. The location was great with a couple of supper clubs nearby. We didn’t get to check those out as they were closed due to extreme weather, but we found something open with a short drive.
Overall- tons of room, the pool table kept us busy and a great location on Lake Como with Lake Geneva, bars, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We certainly hope that we can stay here again someday!

This was a great place for our entire family to come together and celebrate Christmas! The house had a tree and a few decorations set out..there are even hooks on the fireplace for our stockings. We utilized the extra table and chairs so all 13 of us could eat meals together as well as play games. The kitchen was perfect for fixing large meals (2 ovens!!). However, not all of the pots,pans or serving bowls were clean. We could have used an extra fridge for beverages..ended up keeping a cooler stocked all weekend. The kitchen also had a drink area away from food prep which we utilized for cocktails as well as coffee. I've never stayed at a rental that provided saran wrap, foil, coffee filters, coffee, spices, nightlights, handsoap at every sink, luggage racks in each bedroom, throw blankets for snuggling. We also were stumped by one of the puzzles but had fun trying. One of the negatives was how warm the house was..we turned the furnace down and had to forgo the fireplace as the upstairs bedrooms were too hot. Fans were available which helped a little. Overall the stay was great and the owner very responsive!!

We had just a wonderful time for our small family get together. Great memories for years to come. The house was spacious for the 13 of us (9 adults and 4 kids). We enjoyed the outdoor activities with the kayaks, fishing, a cookout, and a campfire. The lake view was spectacular. The first and last nights just gorgeous sunsets. And another night got to watch a storm coming in. Kitchen was big and the dining tabke big enough for us all. The great room was perfect for a movie night and watching football. Parking was good. Checkin and access was good as well. 5 stars!!!

We had family from Vermont to California get together for a reunion. There was plenty of space to spread out and big kitchen to prepare the meals. The home has pretty views of the lake from inside and out on the lawn. We enjoyed kayaking and visiting the nearby establishments- French Country Inn and Mars.

The property looked exactly like it did in the pictures! It was open and fun and the perfect size for our group. The open kitchen was perfect for hanging out and cooking dinner. The pool table was a nice touch and the large backyard lent itself nicely to a game of cornhole. I loved how drawers were labeled in the kitchen, making it easy to find what I needed. Being right off Lake Como was a huge plus, and renting a boat last minute was painless. I would 100% recommend this property and stay there again!

The property was perfect! We had 4 separate families and never felt on top of one another! The house was clean and had enough parking! They also had kayaks and paddle boards to use. We brought our own but was a nice option. They had a nice grill for us to use as well! Only down fall was only tv was in the living room. Would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for group of 10. Home was very clean & had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with had all pots, pans, etc, we needed to cook at the house. The house is very accommodating with beautiful views, very comfortable bedrooms, well appointed bathrooms, and spacious "public" living spaces. There were 11 of us and we loved working in the kitchen together and having the grill. Access to the lake was fantastic and beautiful. Despite the Canadian fire affecting air quality, several of us got out on the lake every day, kayaks were great to have right on site. And sitting on the big dock was wonderful.
Close to Lake Geneva and all it offers. But, we spent all but one day at the house. We want to come back another year and do this again!

This house is a great rental property. The kitchen is very functional and has lots of storage and has all the appliances and items you need. The house has something for everyone, all age groups, inside and outside. The neighborhood was quiet, but there are enough things to do in the area, or do nothing at all, and just relax!

This place is awesome! Instructions were sent ahead of time and we were able to get into the home at the time agreed. Dan responded to texts quickly. Please is very clean with a great layout for just hanging out. We were able to catch up, eat meals together, watch TV, etc.. Everything worked. We plan on coming back next year!

Overall the place was as stated. Beautiful views, calm atmosphere, plenty of room for us all. We had a few minor issues. The hand soap in the bathrooms were very watered down and not good to clean hands. One other thing toilet paper did not have more than one backup roll.
Dan was very responsive and helpful.
This property would be wonderful in the summer to enjoy the water aspect’s available. We did get to see two bald eagles land about 50 feet from the property. What an amazing sight. Would recommend to others.

I've stayed at many rentals over the years and this one is in a league of its own! Not only did we have plenty of beds/bathrooms for a large group of 12, but the homeowner also ensured we had plenty of towels, bedding, toilet paper, paper towels, etc., which makes a big difference when traveling with a big group. It was great to look at the lake right outside the window - since we visited in November, we had the unique experience of watching the lake freeze over in real time! Location was so convenient - we were able to walk to Mars for dinner/drinks; even in the winter cold, it was only ~6 min. walk! Plenty of parking, games, seating area, etc. Overall, a great place - would definitely visit again!
