Beautiful location. Clean and comfortable house.

Beautiful cabin in a lovely location with great views.
There was a heatwave when we were there and the cabin is very well insulated, which would be great in the winter, but it was a little too warm at this time of year! There was a modern cooling fan at floor level, which we utilized mightily.

This is a beautiful and well equipped place to stay on Lewis. Good location for the north and west side walks and beaches. No wifi but fair 4G signal to check weather and plan tomorrows walks (not work emails). A fantastic view to wake up to through the windows.

Gorgeous and many amenities provided period
The unit was gorgeous. However, it was extremely hot and no fan was provided. we had to go out and buy our own. biting bugs out outside everywhere and we had to run to our car so we didn't get swarmed; we felt trapped between the Heat and the bugs as there were no screens on the windows . very few supplies provided and the closest grocery store was 30 minutes away. Again a beautiful facility but too many cons to justify the price period

Beautifully appointed and situated with great views out over the loch. Beds (mattresses) were very comfortable and the bathroom was very luxurious.
There were a few small suggestions we made regarding kitchen equipment and lighter weight duvets as we did all get rather hot. If these suggestions are acted on I think the place would be perfect, other than the lack of wifi.

This is an extraordinary property with wonderful bright views over the loch. It's convenient for a number of interesting sites in Lewis. Callanish stones are a few minutes away. The road is very quiet with just the very occasional car. We had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The owner left us smoked salmon, cheese, prosecco and fresh flowers which was a lovely touch.
It's a bright and airy property which is great, but if you're someone who needs complete darkness to sleep, you might want to consider bringing a sleep mask

Amazing house in an amazing location. The house was absolutely spotless and in a great location for exploring. Would definitely return.
Only one thing which is an observation and not a negative for me anyway was that there’s no wifi. And I get that some people want to be remote and escape on a break but with a small child it’s sometimes beneficial. I was able to purchase an O2 SIM card and we all got internet access that way. Not a negative at all, just an observation 😉
Loved it all

Everything about The Hatchery was just lovely. The location is great, out of the way but what isn't if you're not in Stornoway.
Lack of Internet in today's world is my only slight gripe. Get Internet installed at £40 a month and folk would be more than happy to pay an extra £10 per weeks stay.
