Excellent breakfast. The staff were all very helpful.
There was no lock on the bathroom door. I would have preferred to have had a lock, but this was just a very minor inconvenience. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you.

In my opinion, Do not mislead by the name of the hotel or the location any other hotel will be my choice for the next trip to Newcastle as the room almost double the amount compared with other hotels and without view and the location of the hotel is like in nowhere as there is not as much coffee shops and restaurants as to the other side of the river.

We got the same hotel room as our previous visit making it so rememberable
Staff at breakfast were not too friendly, asked for a pot of tea twice

Swimming pool was fabulous and staff friendly.
The view of the city was great and the staff put us in a room overlooking the city on our request as my boys first hotel stay. Breakfast staff were so lovely as we are gluten free and went out of their way to makes is enjoyable.
Nothing to complain of.

Nice rooms and great Gym. Breakfast was good quality
Room service stopped at 22:30 which is not great if you've been on a night out

Comfy bed
Was not the room I booked or paid for. I booked a queen room and paid over £350- was supposed to have a balcony, views of Tyne bridge and compliments such as robe, slippers etc. shower was not working properly and hanging off wall too.
Was put in a double room which on website was £150 cheaper what i paid…. Our room had a view of a metro line, no compliments except two cans of water. Spoke to staff who were rude and abrupt who informed us that they could not move us as hotel was full!!
Very very disappointing and hoping to have a resolution

Staff couldn’t of done any more for us all ways smiling
Pillows are terrible when asked for more they said there was none spare, the bed was like a brick and the aircon may as well of been off it was that bad!!

Location looking over the Tyne is great
Beautiful hotel, reception, bar areas
Leisure facilities great
All the staff were very professional and friendly, a credit to the hotel
Breakfast was cold. No option of fried / poached eggs. We could see the chef prepared freshly some pancakes but we weren't told about any fresh breakfast items that could be prepared, only to help ourselves to the buffet.
No museli available and when I asked for some, was only given gluton free museli. I would expect to see museli available. However to be be fair; there was a wide choice of other items with freshly baked bread / pastries, cold meats, cheeses etc
Room was large but basic with just a double bed, although I accept that was what we had booked. Due to the size of the room a queen bed would fill the space better.

Staff were very friendly! First impressions - walking into the lobby with a view of the Quayside - were good! The room was spacious, comfortable and well lit, the bed was comfy, the shower was really good. The location was really handy for walking along the Quayside or further into town.
Very disappointed with the cooked breakfast. Mushy eggs, the bacon was somehow dry and soggy at the same time, the hash browns had a slightly oily, burnt taste to them. The orange juice tasted almost as if it was watered down. We didn't bother going to breakfast on the 2nd morning.
I feel the view from the room didn't match what is offered in the photos, as I paid extra for the promise of a view of the Quayside and our room turned out to be more west-facing than I expected and we actually had to strain a little to fully see the Tyne Bridge from the window.
We also had to pay a £30 deposit, a little steep in my opinion, I assume in case we helped ourselves to anything from the mini fridge, but in our room we found only an empty cabinet where the fridge presumably once was.
In general, the hotel felt more geared towards the "away on business" crowd than us and I personally don't believe the value for money was there.

Bedroom with view over River Tyne . Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice . Nice open lounge bar area. Located near the Glasshouse to attend music recitals.
Reception could not find my reservation on checking in . Fortunately I always take my Booking. Com booking confirmation.
On re checking the receptionist found my reservation . Someone had input my Christian name as my Surname in error .

The bed was comfortable & the location was excellent for us.
I felt the room was average there was wallpaper ripped off the wall in on area, the wall under the window was marked, the desk chair was peeling. It was disappointing, the room was nice but the value in the room wasn’t there.

From reception (Local lass Libby) to bar staff and breakfast - all superb. Comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom - great views and an excellent stay. Well done, Hilton Newcastle Gateshead! Thank you.

The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. The fruit was fresh and nice and the pastries too. The cooked range was delicious too.
The staff was very attentive and nice.
Perhaps some USB plugs in the room.
The swimming pool timetable. We would have appreciated an extra hour on the weekend.

Air conditioning not effective and very noisy

It’s Hilton hotel. It’s a big hotel and has a swimming pool. The smells in the reception is remarkable. Free parking for hotel guests. The view from our room is amazing - castle & bridge. Welcome drink is very nice!
The room is very outdated, the bed is tiny, it’s not a double but small double if you choose for double double bedded room (2 adults 2 children). There is no socket on each bedside table and we can see a lot of holes around the furniture. The price we paid is more than the price in their website / booking.com just a week / couple days before. The swimming pool is free but it’s not that big and it’s a mix with swimming lesson. Staff we see in corridor not saying anything just quiet. For a big hotel, it’s only 2 people at the reception, unbelievable long wait to get serve. I messaged the hotel, it’s a long reply and really ignore the message.

Not much.
The hotel and rooms are tired and dated, they need updated. The staff were quite unhelpful, particularly when we tried to order food at 10.40 pm. The bar staff refused, even though they advertise bar food available untill 11pm. Sadly, the "All Day" room service menu also ended at 10:45. Really?!? Nobody on reception desk or Concierge to report this to. Not the service I expect from a Hilton Hotel.
Notably, the girl at checkout didn't seem interested either. Poor show all round.

All the staff were very friendly, lovely hotel with delicious breakfast and facilities. Will definitely be back!
The hill you’ve to walk up after you’ve been into the city centre isn’t so fun.

Clean spotless comfortable - absolutely lovely staff lovely to be able to use the pool too
Pillows are always a bit soft for me

Very close to the quayside with loads of restaurants and bars, 10 mins walk into town. Up a steep hill from the bridge!
There was rubbish and bits of food under the bed. Small things that let the accommodation down. It’s not the most modern so no plug sockets next to the bed. The room was very hot even on a cool March day. The air conditioning was quite loud even in its lowest setting.

The room was large and nice but we did not get a river view which would have been nice.
We did not have breakfast as we thought the cost was expensive.

Room size & view. Location near to The Glasshouse which was primary reason for visit. Quayside and city centre nearby so good choice of restaurants and shops.
Breakfast choice very good.
Not the most comfortable bed I have slept in. Was a bit too firm. 2 easy chairs would be better in a room of that size with views on offer.

The suspension of everything that was getting me down, thanks to a welcome, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfasts were spot on, good view of the city and a great room.
The aircon was a bit loud, but I was too preoccupied with being relaxed to figure out that I could simply turn it off. Did that the second night. No worries.

Amazing view of the Tyne bridge from our window! Short walk over the bridge to the quayside & city centre and five minutes walk to the Sage. Excellent breakfast and great to have a late checkout on a weekend too. Will definitely stay here again.

Very clean, modern and spacious. Staff very helpful. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Great location
Wasn’t aware of deposit we had to pay on top of room rate when we arrived. First time we have come across this and would have been good to be made aware ahead of arrival as needed to go on card too.
