Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood

Everything about the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood was outstanding. The staff are remarkably helpful, and compared with other hotels in London, my stay at the Marriott was the most favourable. Breakfast ranks among the best I have encountered in the UK, offering many choices; although the menu remains fixed, unlike India where daily changes provide variety, it is still far superior to other UK hotels I have visited. The location is convenient, with most attractions accessible by walking, bus, or taxi. Edinburgh Waverley station is within walking distance, and numerous restaurants, cafes, and pubs are nearby. I would strongly recommend the Marriott to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

I liked everything about my stay and have no complaints at all.

Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly at reception. Breakfast was not cheap, but very good and certainly convenient. The room and location suited us very well. On a long distance hike, we had slept on a variety of beds. Theirs was greatly appreciated.

The bed was comfortable and had wonderful linens. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was like a spa. I want to give a shout out to Amma at the front desk - I lost my US passport somewhere in the Highlands and she spent over an hour next to me on her computer, working through all of the necessary forms to obtain an emergency passport. Thanks to her assistance, I got an appointment at the consulate the next morning and was issued a passport within a couple of hours.

The location is absolutely amazing! Located in the center and just 14 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station. The room was spacious, the AC was working well, and we had a lot of complementary coffee in the room. The restaurant and reception staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful, and friendly.

Few things that can be changed: 1- The bed had a hole or was broken and the pillows aren’t comfy at all 2- The bathroom had black mold on it 3- When I checked in my room, there were tissues in the bathroom seat 4- There was no toiletries, or slippers in the room
