Our room was lovely - clean and like the pictures. The terrace area was gorgeous! Comfortable sunbeds and lovely plants and flowers which were clearly well tended. It was also very quiet which was nice. La Chiaja is close to several restaurants and was bustling at night. A big shout out to Mariarosaria in reception. She gave us lots of brilliant recommendations for bars, restaurants and shops and even booked us dinner recommendations for both nights - thank you so much!
It would be good if there was a bar on-site. There was a "happy hour" however it wasn't obvious if you could just go and help yourself. Additionally, the cava was just sitting out in the warm temperatures so wouldn't have been very pleasant.

The view from the main balcony was amazing and the room was spacious and well designed. Nice bars along the main strip. Easy train ride to Pompeii
The hotel is lovely but the surrounding area is not great. There is beach access but it was very upsetting to see litter and debris on the streets and beach. We didn’t visit the beach because of its state.This is such a shame because it could improve the area massively

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating they went above and beyond to help with anything I needed. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with a beautiful view of Mount Vesuvius and the sea. The hotel itself was modern and nicely decorated.
The listing was very misleading. It showed that the property had a gym and a pool, which were key reasons I chose it. In reality, the gym was in a different building downstairs and required an additional fee, so it shouldn’t be advertised as part of the hotel. The “pool” was more like a small paddling pool — below knee height, very cold, and not clean, with insects and a film on the surface.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the surrounding area. The location is extremely run down, with rubbish everywhere, broken pavements, and rodents in the streets. It didn’t feel tourist friendly or safe to walk around, especially in the evenings. It’s not a pleasant area for a holiday, and it’s a big contrast to how it’s presented online.
If you’re looking to explore Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else, such as Sorrento itself or Meta (which is a much nicer and cleaner nearby town). Even if it costs a bit more, the difference in atmosphere and experience is absolutely worth it.
