About this house rental
Situated in Emu Bay, this lovely house for $115 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Morrys, a 3 bedroom, self-contained home to suit holiday makers, comfortably sleeping 9 guests. Morrys is only minutes walk from the pristine white sandy beach with panoramic sea and beach views from the living room and front deck. New kitchen, reverse cycle air-conditioner, smart TV, washing machine, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, complimentary WIFI. Gas BBQ on the deck, brand new fully equipped kitchen with microwave, family size fridge/freezer and full size stove. Please note the 3rd bedroom is accessible from the outside only. High chair supplied free of charge as required. There is ample room to park your vehicle/s and boat in the yard. Smoking allowed outside only. Tariff includes all bed linen, bath towels, tea towels, tea, coffee, sugar and a supply of essential consumables. Emu Bay is also a haven for dolphins, fairy penguins and pelicans and is a great base from which to explore Seal Bay, Flinders Chase National Park, Stokes Bay, American River, Penneshaw and surrounds. The beautiful Emu Bay beach is accessible by car on the hard sand and one of the most popular beaches for swimming, water sports and beach walks. Emu Bay is just a 15 minute drive from Kangaroo Island's main township of Kingscote which offers a range of shops & services including - supermarket, takeaway food, hotels, restaurant, post office, ATM's, chemist, hospital, fuel outlets, laundromat, video store, tourist information, souvenirs and more. 100m to children's playground & public phone. Safe swimming and good fishing all at your doorstep....... Getting There + Local Events Kangaroo Island is easily accessed by either a 30 minute flight from Adelaide or a 45 minute Sealink ferry crossing from Cape Jervis, a 2 hour drive south of Adelaide. These services operate all year round. You can bring your own car via the ferry or there are hire cars operating from Kingscote, Penneshaw or the airport. Kangaroo Island is home to many native animals and has diverse landscapes in cliffs, sand dunes, bushland, farming land and beautiful beaches including Emu Bay. There is much to see and do so please give yourself enough time to see the sites. The Farmers Market is held on the 1st Sunday of every month at the Lloyd Collins Reserve, Penneshaw. Purchase a range of fresh local produce from the people who grow, farm or make it. Had an amazing experience staying at
Morry’s! The view of Emu Bay is incredible, it’s only a short walk to the beach, jetty & boat ramp and we saw the most amazing wildlife right outside the property including echidnas, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas! The 3 bedrooms were fantastic (2 adults and kids downstairs) and 3 adults and 1 child upstairs) and the living room and kitchen were super clean and large enough for everyone to chill out after a big day exploring the Island! Highly recommend staying here!

The cabin was large, well supplied, clean, comfortable and the view is spectacular. Short walk to the beach, the jetty and into the surrounding nature. Very quiet and you could not but slow down and enjoy the peacefulness of the area.

Very easy, there was a ant issue on the kitchen sink and up the windows that had been sprayed but not cleaned.Also the BBQ is about to fall apart.

We've just spent 5 days here and will definitely be coming back. The view from the front balcony is wonderful! House was great for us (family of 2 adults and 2 children), with a playground close by. Very tidy and we look forward to returning. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Emu Bay in Morry's. Property has beautiful views of the bay elevated from one block behind the Esplanade. Good room for parking boats and only 30 seconds from the boat ramp.

Excellent Location, kids loved their own space downstairs. Accommodation needs updating and amenities are poor. e.g. a family of 5 staying for 3 nights needs more than 1 toilet roll!

Room for improvement
Great view, not too far from beach. Being very warm days, we noticed need for extra cooling in bedrooms, not just main living area. Fans would have helped.
Beach good and jetty to try fishing.
BBQ on balcony didn't work but was replaced by owner on request.
'Friendly' bats above door to downstairs bedroom need to be rehoused.
Few minor issues need addressing, then full potential can be realised.
