We love the view from this house. So perfect! And we love Yachats too. However we were very disappointed that some updates we have asked for before have not been addressed. The toilets in the bathrooms are made for 2-5 year olds. Seriously they are <1 foot off the floor. And there are no bars or anything to assist use of the toilets. They need to be replaced immediately and real toilets put in (low flow for saving water would be nice too). Also the chairs in the living room are made for children (they sink way down to the floor when you sit in them). This house is not set up for seniors or anyone 50+ (e.g., no bars in bathrooms for getting in and out of the bathtubs). It would be really nice if the owners addressed this and made the house usable for everyone.

What a fabulous stay! The Seaside cottage is in an ideal location, right on the coast, where we could watch from the living room to see the mesmerizing, crashing waves onto the rocks. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with comfy beds and couches, and feels like a home, not a rental. It is very close to the restaurants in Yachats and the paths. Highly recommended!

We've stayed in several rentals on the Oregon Coast, but never one like this. Incredible view, sleeping to the booming sound of the surf, everything we could possibly need and more, and even a welcoming gift! If you're looking for a 5-star resort, this isn't it. But if you want a house that feels like home, THIS IS IT. We will be back - this is now our go-to home-away-from-home. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Beautiful setting in a very comfortable home with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Stunning views and great big windows to allow you to see the ocean any time you are in the living room/kitchen area. Can't wait to return to this haven of a home.

Wonderful place - will definitely try to come back. Sitting on the deck watching the ocean, birds, and seals- mesmerizing. Great location. We had perfect weather. Only negatives - tv is no good unless you stream. Comfort height toilets would be nice - can you tell that we ate old!

The panoramic ocean views kept us mesmerized all week, and the coastal cottage charm was unsurpassed! We had a wonderful time, thanks for attending to so many details to make the stay extra comfortable. And thanks for the delicious marionberry jam! Still enjoying that :-)

My husband and I have been vacationing on the Oregon coast for 25 years and this cottage was perfect in every way and hands down the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect and the cottage was a delight—clean, bright and comfortable with so many welcoming touches like snacks in the kitchen, baskets in the bathrooms filled with things you might have forgotten and great books in every room. The beds were heavenly! Katy from the rental agency was wonderful to work with and attentive to our needs! We can’t wait to come back!

We were very comfortable at Seaside Cottage. The kitchen is stocked extremely well. Everything was clean. And of course the view is spectacular! We hadn’t brought our own bath soap because most places provide it or have the European style dispensers in the showers. We purchased our own. This is a minor inconvenience, though. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much.

We fell in love with Seashine Cottage from the minute we arrived. We have rented dozens of houses over the years and these owners by far were the best at providing small comforts and different treats for our stay and treating us like family, not just strangers. The location in Yachats is awesome. We stayed for a week and ventured out far on some days, but quickly realized you don't need to go far from the cottage to see the most stunning places along the Oregon Coast. We walked to coffee at The Village Bean and ate dinner in town every night. We ate like kings in Yachats and can't wait to go back. The home is full of many games, movies and books to read and we utilized it all during the rainy days. The fire pit and sunsets in the yard were my favorite. We feel like we found a real gem in this cottage and we can't wait to come back again soon.

The cottage location was perfection-- and the windows, beds, patio chairs, view-- so the s'mores fixings were icing on the cake!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this home, and hope we'll be right back to it. We got bread from the bakery, coffee from coffee shops, and veggies from the farmers' market. It was so perfect for our family of 6 adults.

(As noted in the description, the property itself does not have beach access--but it does have a beautiful view!) Easy checkin, clean property, and the hosts clearly put a lot of thought & effort into making it a comfortable, welcoming stay. One of the bedrooms had a pretty loud heater; we got used to it but if you're a particularly light sleeper it might be good to know ahead of time. All in all, it was charming, and we would definitely come back!

We love staying in this house (this was our 5th time over the years)! You can't beat the view and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. We do feel that some things need updating, however. The wooden deck needs replacing as it is getting worn out. Also the toilets need replacing; they are old and very small and one of the seats was broken. If the place is updated, it will be the perfect place to be!

The picture windows and view of the ocean is completely accurate for this property. The Pacific ocean never disappoints and this property has it. I would like to come back when the weather is a bit warmer - we couldn't sit outside to enjoy it at all as it was bitterly cold and windy.
The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are accommodating. (the bathroom fan doesn't work in the 2nd bathroom, by the way) The laundry room is handy! The kitchen is well-appointed. Overall, the house is very nice.

We stayed four nights and had the pleasure of watching the waves crash, sun set, the moon glow and the stars shine in this lovely seaside home. It had everything our family needed including toys and books for little ones, extra blankets, ingredients, kitchen items for any meal, plenty of towels etc. There was a feeling of hospitality and generosity as soon as we walked in the door. We will stay longer next time!
