In the wintertime, you can snowshoe right out the door. You're a quick drive from restaurants and shopping downtown in the Bavarian-themed town of Leavenworth. Chose between two ski resorts - this rental is located 39 miles to Mission Ridge and 45 miles to Steven's Pass Resort. Over all we found the place to be good

The detached game room/garage was a big hit with the kids/teens in our group. Also enjoyed the sledding hill right behind the home, as well as the hot tub. Quick and easy trip into Leavenworth for the holiday lights. Could use a carpet cleaning, and we had no kitchen linens (dishtowels, cloths, etc) but we improvised. This didn't detract from the stay. We encountered a snowstorm, and the driveway was plowed during our trip. Unfortunately we lost power an hour and a half before checkout due to the weather, but we were able to successfully get packed up and checked out. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

For the price we paid I expected a much better experience. The check in process was horrific. None of the door codes worked as stated, or backup codes, and we had to spend an hour waiting in freezing cold temps while I worked with Vacasa trying all sorts of codes. Finally after an hour someone was able to provide a code that worked and we got in.
The game room was a separate detached building and freezing, the remote did not work; the 7 additional beds. I tried to reach a person for help but was told “a maint request has been noted”.
The TVs had issues with remotes not working but all the did was “a maintenance report”. We never did hear from anyone.
The hot tub was nice. But you do need to walk through the snow to get to it so that was not a fun experience.
The driveway requires 4x4 but the app says both that 4x4 IS required and elsewhere IS NOT required. Thankfully we got both trucks up but one barely made it.
By far the worst part is the upstairs linen closet has a kitty door for a litter box which is a sign that someone has had a cat here at some point. My mom is very allergic to cats and we would not have stayed here had we known that a cat had lived here. She had a miserable time because the cat smell is in the carpets and furniture. Unfortunately there is nowhere else to stay this late in Dec once we had checked in and we were unable to cancel.
After all these issues Vacasa never offered to make it right. This was a terrible experience and I would never stay here again. Please look elsewhere.

Our group and I quite enjoyed this stay! The views from the backyard are amazing, the game room was great for our nights, and the hosts were great at communicating throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The property was clean and comfortable. It worked well for our annual family get together of 10 adults and 3 teenage grandchildren. The unattached garage converted to the Gameroom was a big hit with the grandchildren. Location was good, 15 minute drive to Leavenworth and 20 minute drive to Wenatchee. Nothing fancy. Several downsides … the bathroom in the Gameroom was very musty and water was had a strong sulphur odor so didn’t use it. The outdoor grill for the main house has seen the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced.

We really enjoyed our stay. We found the house clean on arrival, and it had all of the necessary kitchen items (although we found most of the bowls in the game room!). The backyard patio was lovely in the afternoon and evening even during the hot weather. We were also happy to find the hot tub clean and well cared for.
Don’t worry about the review mentioning “rough neighbors”. This is a rural part of the state with no HOAs. Yes, some of the other properties in the neighborhood look less presentable. Once you’re at the house however, you can’t see those neighbors and we never heard or saw them during our stay.

Spring Break
We had a great time. It was big enough for the entire family and great hiking trails. Only downside was there was broken glass on the patio we had to clean up when we got there so the kids would not cut themselves.

Our family loved the game room and the house. It was snowing and beautiful. It was nice there were sleds there for the kids to enjoy. We spent most our time in the game room. It was huge and had a lot to offer for a family gathering.

Rented this home for a hunting trip and loved how close it is to outdoor recreation as well as the downtown restaurants and pubs. The game room was a nice place to hang out with lots to do and the hot tub was a nice way to relax after a long hunt.

Vascasa promises "enhanced cleanliness" in response to Covid-19. Unfortunately, this house was surprisingly and obviously not clean. There was a used towel left drying in the master closet. There were ample crumbs on all counters and tables. The microwave had food splatter and half a bagel (!!) inside. The floors were swept but the corners were neglected. Supplies were sparse. There was no dishwasher detergent or paper towels. We called the Vacasa number and the person who answered the call said that those fall under the category of "condiments" which are not provided. But she did hook us up with the local property manager, who was very kind to bring us paper towels and dishwasher tablets in a timely fashion. Pulling up into neighborhood was kinda sketchy. Some outdoor furniture was broken, foos ball table was broke. The couch in the game room was peeling......a lot. But overall we had a great weekend. The backyard is a sanctuary for sure. Would for sure rent it again.

Worst maintained property
Extremely low water pressure, basically can’t run more than 1 faucet at a time. Property was dirty and not clean from previous visitors. Dirty bed sheets, dirty towels, no toilet papers. Basically we had to do the laundry all the bedsheets and towels at the arrival. We called Vacasa phone number for help, no response and had to give up after 70 minutes. Send them emails and till date no response back. No propane at the bbq grille. Worst ever experience with the Vacasa and the property.
