Nice staff but pretty poor facilities

Staff were super nice. The rooftop was a plus and the WiFi worked decently in the room. Surprisingly hot water.

Quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Bed springs were digging into my back the entire night. For $60 a night you can at least get a mattress topper. The room also smelt awful. It definitely wasn’t worth the $60ish that I paid. The only reason I’m not leaving a lower score is because the people working there were very nice.

Los baños están bien pero...

La amabilidad del personal: Alex y Mintik fueron muy amables y comprensivos con nosotros, siempre nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos, cómo en casa. Además nos permitieron guardar el equipaje desde horas antes del check-in.

Las duchas y sanitarios son compartidos y les falta privacidad, en el segundo piso sólo hay una ducha disponible, hay otra pero no está disponible por reparación.

A good option

Good location, nice atmosphere within the hostel. The price is definitely what makes it a great option. The kitchen is nicely equipped.

The bathrooms are old and obsolete, not very welcoming at all. It goes the same with the beds.

Disappointing

A/C is on all day long

They had bed bugs the night before I arrived. Roomed smelled of chemicals, but they showed and explained before check-in. When I left 4 days later I still found live bugs and head lots of bites (could be mosquito, don't know). There is only one socket with power outlets for the whole room. Beds are completely shaky Ventilators in kitchen and common areas do not work, it's really hot and humid there. Only three of four flames work for cooking. Knives are more for squishing than cutting, panhandles are completely loose. Downstairs shower heads are mounted at neck hight. Staff prefers to put mood dampening comments in common areas instead of moving a finger.

Fridge in room Free Pancakes

So, when we arrived we was told there was a charge for paying by card and that the card machine wasn't working. Ok so we asked if we could take our stuff to the room and pay later that day. No. We was basically frog marched to a cash machine before we could enter the hostel any further. Anyway, room was basic but did have a fridge and air con. Showers were gross mould everywhere and didn't look like it had been cleaned, ever. Did some laundry here, it got lost but they did eventually find it. Hostel is cheap but not cheerful

Superb

The hostel is located on a quiet neighborhood in the northern part of Bocas Town. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn' t use the kitchen so I can' t comment on that area.

No pool and hailing a cab was a little difficult because most cabs were filled with passengers.

Exceptional

Reliably hot showers, roof top seating, and complimentary coffee will always win me over. Private room even had a mini fridge and aircon which is quite luxurious by hostel standards.

Disappointing

Great vibe, good location, basically there is all you need, but..

It is a hostel, one room is terrible, and there is no full picture of the room. We wanted to move when we saw it, we ask for another room. We were promised we can move to other room next day, but finally the next day the boss did not allow it. We wanted to leave and the money back for the rest of the stay. But the boss said he will not give the money back, as we already signed a contract. He was arrogant and sarcastic in the communication. This is was how not to make the business. This bad experience, you need to deal spoils the stay. Otherwise all good.

okay hostel for the price, unfriendly staff

Overall Cliffs hostel was good. Nice common area to hang out in, the kitchen had the things you needed and pancake breakfast in the morning. Also AC in the room was nice.

The bed I slept in was very unstable so any little movement from the one below made my whole bed shake. Also the owner was pretty rude when we were checking out regarding leaving our bags in the reception.

Amazing stay!

I loved the hospitality, the value for money and the great vibe in the hostel. All the people were amazing and we ended up going on a private boat tour with everyone from the hostel. Wonderful memories, I highly reccomend.

I liked it all :)) I wish I could stay longer.

Perfect one night stop

I loved all the chill out areas. Free pancake breaky. The staff were super helpful with everything I needed and friendly.

My key to enter the building didn't work, which was really unfortunate when I arrived back late from a party and had to rattle the door until someone woke up to let me in. I was on the top bunk, which didn't have any railing, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

Friendly staff and location not in noisy area of town but less than 10minute walk to the centre. Simple hostel with nice atmosphere, aircon and good coffee in the morning. A few nice spots to chill.

Nice and social hostel Really nice common areas and close to town Good value for money

The top bunk beds were not the best, there was no barrier on the side and they were very squeaky, room was also a bit dark

Fantastic hostel in Bocas town

Great staff and location. very reasonable price and had everything you need. Easy place to meet great people!

The shower was level with the floor outside, meaning that anything left outside the shower would get soaked. They give you pancake mix to make your own breakfast, however there are no instructions on what to do with it

Great budget hostel :)

Super chill hostel with a great vibe! Good location, near to everything and kept clean. Special shout out to Jack black (aka Rowan) for making my stay a even more fun one with lots of smiles and laughs
