Amazing hostel that got a lot of potential

The location is perfect, just one min away from Bocas town. The hostel got a lot of potential, keep in mind is a party hostel so it's very loud, but if you are looking to meet new people this is the right place.

The shared bathroom was outdated, it clearly needs some maintenance. Staff had a kitchen in the main floor and they were very loud.

Simply Amazing!! A must do!

Awesome staff! Amazing location, short trips away from the best surf spots. Great food, parties and also some quiet if you feel like. Highly recommended!!!

The common area is super nice. Drinks were good

The rooms smelled super moldy (not ok for the price qe paid for a private room). And actually they messed up our booking and doublebooked our room. They were very sorry but told us it only happend twice in 10 years, which was a lie cause the same day we already met two other people which had the same issue with them.

Terrible overpriced dirty rave hostel with no wifi

House music plays from 10am to 4am every night- wifi doesn’t work- barely any water in the shower- super old mattress- music so loud it vibrates the bed. No working wifi in the rooms. I love music and love a hostel- this was traumatizing

Really nice lounge / swimming area Slack line and jump platforms are very funny Social vibes and lots of parties Good to stay there for Reggae night and Filthy Friday so you don’t pay entry

If you don’t feel like partying, you will have trouble sleeping because the dorms are right next to the bar 1$ water taxi anytime you need to go to the main island Bit expensive for a hostel dorm Kitchen quite dirty and not very equipped

Great food, views, and people!

The food was amazing. To walk out of your room each day to a welcoming staff with great food and drink choices was incredible. Plus, the views from Aqua Lounge are top tier. The swimming too - everything about our stay was great!

My friend and I should have booked separate rooms. I think more space would have enhanced our stay.

Superb

We loved the big terrace and of course the pool! Our room had a good working A/C. Even though they had some partys we had a good sleep.

Our room was really simple, it would have been nice to have something to store your clothes.

The place is really good but I would rate them 3 out of 5 stars cause a short guy that was a security for filthy fridat that works for aqua lounge annoyed me 3 times total. They have to learn to ne more professional

The staff was really nice. Especially Jonas and Marie! They were super helpful and really friendly.

Such a cute place. Great for relaxing during the day and having fun at night (good for hanging out with the Friday crowd without having to pay for the whole thing). Staff was amazing and very friendly. Lots of spots to sit and chill too!!

Good place to party but do not stay here

Nice bar area and loungers

The private room was probably the worst we’ve stayed in after 2 months of travelling Central America. There was nothing in the room but a bed. The kitchen area was very bad, guests leaving their dirty pots / plates in the sink. I would recommend staying in Bocas town and heading to Aqua lounge on nights out only.

good to party for a short stay

the location is insane if you want a good cheap party hostel this is it but forget about the confort and clean bathroom I stayed two night and one night there was no water in the whole place and the next day no kitchen because no electricity good for a stay of 1/2 night to party and enjoy the view pool and location

Great place to meet new people!

It's very well located. It's a one minute/dollar boat ride to the main island where you have a lot of choices of nice bars and restaurants. Every night they have another event like beer pong night/open mic night/electronic sunset party/... You can eat a lot of good things at the hostel, although it's a little pricy. The staff wil help you out with everything they can. We had a lovely stay!

Because of the events it can be really busy and loud at evenings/nights. But they do provide a good security system so no one can go into the rooms without permission. The double room didn't have air-conditioning, only a fan. The dorms do have air-conditioning though.

great location lots of areas to chill during the day, and super social. very spacious so you're not all squished together

kitchen was really bad and the food at the hostel expensive. most nights they had parties/loud music even if there was no one there actually partying which was annoying

Rather a restaurant and bar with great partys than a real hostel

Aqua Lounge invites to party and have a good time. So there is a nice area to swim, places to relax in the sun and moreover the huge Filthy Friday party which you can join for free. Moreover, there is a separate area for hostel guests with sofas, a sun deck and a well equipped kitchen. During parties, they take care that no one gets to the hostel area if he's not staying there. By staying at the hostel, you also get a $10 discount on fun dives in the excellent dive shop next door.

As other reviews say, it is rather a pricey restaurant/bar than a hostel. There is a happy hour and a kitchen to accommodate budget travelers but I would have appreciated a permanent discount or backpacker menu for hostel guests. Moreover, they don't care about good night sleeps a lot. They played music until appr. 3 am which was so loud that you felt like sleeping on the dance floor. One day, they organized a party which started as late as 11 PM which is annoying if you look for a good night sleep.

Nice chill place...on a Monday

I had a comfortable private room, which was clean and had a nice bed. I stayed on a Monday night which was fairly quiet and pleasant. However, I heard the other nights there are loud, wild, debaucherous parties, so if you're looking for a quiet place, do not stay here except on a Monday. I really enjoyed the swimming space, which was a swimming pool carved around the sea. The views were really nice.

Some of the food and drinks were a bit pricey. Some of the music was too loud.

The best you get in Bocas

Aqua Lounge is my favourite Hostel in Bocas del Torro. Th whole staff is so nice and you get to know so many cool people. If you go to the Bar ask for a Vodka Maracuya;)

Beautiful bar and lounge area perfect for chilling on a sunbed in the day Amazing pool Really cool party at night, great vibe I loved it here I would definitely recommend and would happily stay again

The bathroom is the room was a bit smelly, but the communal bathrooms near the bar areas were really nice
