Our experience aboard Stellar of the Seas was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we booked until the time we checked out, everything was seamless. The attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and level of service exceeded our expectations.
The food was a huge highlight! I was initially concerned that dining on a cruise might feel a little touristy, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Every meal was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and expertly prepared. Chef Tuan is exceptionally talented. The beef was so tender it rivaled Wagyu, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. Several dishes genuinely felt like something you’d experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
What really made this cruise special, though, was the people.
Our cruise director, Tin, was phenomenal. He had such a warm personality and knew exactly how to balance sharing information with allowing guests to simply enjoy themselves. As someone who is half Vietnamese, I especially appreciated learning things about Vietnam’s history and culture that I hadn’t known before. Tin made the experience even more meaningful for me. He is truly a treasure!
Our personal butler, Jackie, was wonderful. He was attentive, kind, and so personable that he felt more like a brother than someone providing a service. And what an incredible karaoke singer! Calvin, although not our assigned butler, was equally helpful and always happy to answer questions or assist us.
The accommodations were beautiful, with breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay right from our bed and even the bathroom. Waking up surrounded by that scenery was unforgettable.
I also treated myself to a massage with Ha, and I can confidently say it was the best massage I’ve ever had. Her technique was rhythmic, soothing, and incredibly effective. I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep!
Another thing I appreciated was the transparency with pricing.

Worth every minute of the research! There are so many boats in Halong Bay, and picking one was hard, but Stellar of the Seas nailed it. It's a smaller boutique boat with intimate service and high-end facilities.
Our suite had the most beautiful view of the bay. We never once closed the blinds, just soaked it up all day and night. The cocktails were awesome too, and our butler Cindy was amazing!

Our stay from start to finish was absolutely superb. Boo and Calvin were both incredibly attentive, thoughtful and welcoming throughout our entire stay, and they genuinely helped make the whole experience so special.
Everything about our time with Stellar was incredible, and the level of service was outstanding from beginning to end. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and honestly couldn’t recommend Stellar highly enough. Five stars all around!
