Located in Iowa, this charming house for $356 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Our Golfside Haven house is approximately 8 miles or 13 minutes to Downtown Galena and just 3.5 miles to the GTA Owners Club (pools, tennis courts, fitness center). This home is dog friendly. Welcome to Golfside Haven Home with a New Outdoor Hot Tub! You'll love this spacious, beautifully appointed 4 Bedroom 4 Full Bath home in the Galena Territory!! This home has two large family rooms with flat screen TVs, a large deck, screened-in porch, wood burning fireplace (we supply the wood), complimentary WiFi, whirlpool bath and so much more! The primary bedroom is located on the main level and features a King size bed with a large en suite bathroom. Our second bedroom on this same level is a Queen bedroom with a hallway access full bath with tub/shower combo. There are two additional en suite bedrooms in the lower level, one is a King bedroom and the other is a Queen bedroom both with full bathrooms. The lower level features an additional family room and darts for your guests to enjoy. Take a step outside to our oversize deck with a great view and New Hot Tub Spring 2023! The upstairs decks features a screened in porch, outside seating and a gas grill, we supply the propane! Situated on over one acre, this home has seasonal views of the 16th hole of the General Golf Course at Eagle Ridge and boasts unbelievable heavily wooded views from 2 large decks. You will have access to the GTA Owners Club while staying with us. The indoor pool is open year-round and the outdoor pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The club is an exclusive amenity that can be used by only Galena Territory property owners and their guests. The Owners' Club includes an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool w/slides, a kiddie pool, fitness room, game room, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, seasonal snack bar, free WiFi and outdoor playground. Don't forget to visit Lake Galena, The Shenandoah Riding Center and hiking trails throughout the 6,800-acre property. Disclaimer: You may not have enough cards for your entire group. Guest passes can be purchased for just $5 a day at the GTA admin office or pool entrance, staying with us grants you access, it may not be free. Please remember usage of the amenities is NEVER guaranteed. We do not discount or refund due their closure. When you book a home with us we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days prior to check in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14 day mark your stay will become non-refundable and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you place on file at the time of booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please NOTE: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking, we ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older at the time of booking and present the entire stay. Our cancellation policy is not flexible - we highly recommend travel insurance. Check in details are sent 3 days prior to your arrival to the email on file. This includes the home's address, the access code and other pertinent home/area information. It is difficult to allow early check in from June thru October. During the other months early check in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or morning of your arrival. The emailed check in details will cover this process.

We had a wonderful girls weekend in this lovely home. The house was better than the photos. We enjoyed the screen porch and large kitchen table. The only suggestion we have would be to add more lamps or brighter light bulbs. The rooms were dark once the sun went down. We rated this house a 5 and it was very clean.

The property was great for our couples weekend getaway. Every bedroom had a king/queen bed and a full bathroom which made it perfect for the 4 couples in our group. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for the majority of our time and utilized the screened in porch when it rained. There was lots of wildlife visible from the deck. The hot tub was a big hit too!

This was the second time we stayed in the house. It is perfect for our sibling and spouse weekend.We all have our own bedroom and bath. We love that it is close to the entrance to the Territory. Probably the only downfall is the parking for three vehicles. There is no actual driveway and the parking area is small and needs work.

The house was perfect! Seven ladies just getting away for a weekend of shopping. The house was clean and ready for our visit. Everything was needed was there including a coffee grinder. The spa was clean and perfect to sit in on a cool November night. Plenty of room, and a nice fireplace. Need to make sure there is newspaper and kindling or a fire starter to get the fire place started for others in the future.

We had a friends weekend at this comfortable home in the Galena Territory. The house was large, clean and comfortable. The four bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, was perfect for the six of us. We loved the large, well appointed kitchen and the screened in sitting area off of the kitchen. The view was fabulous from the two large decks and the hot tub was amazing. We also loved that it had a wood burning fireplace but wished there had been some dry kindling or fire starters as we were unable to get a fire started. The house is also close to downtown Galena and other area attractions. This house was great and we hope to repeat our trip and stay here again!

We had a wonderful weekend at this home for our anniversary. Location was the best. Close to the golf course for my husband. I enjoyed the easy trip into town for shopping and restaurants. The house had a nice kitchen and grill we used to make dinner. It had a wonderful screened in porch and deck. It was relaxing and so quiet. I recommend this house for anytime of trip to Galena.

Comfortable clean home with lots of sleeping space. Great location and easy to find. Nice deck and screened in patio. Beds didn't look confortable but were great when you got used to them. Small living space but had downstairs also available. Could use some updating but would rent again. Unfortunately the hot tube didn't work and they couldn't get anyone there before we left. Other than that we really liked the home.

The house was accurately described and great for a vacation getaway. Our party had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen had everything that we needed, the hot tub was a treat, and the beds were comfortable. We loved how the property backed up to beautiful woods. It felt secluded yet close to what we needed. We enjoyed the neighborhood amenities - trails, pool, fitness center, country store, waterfall and lake. All were lovely!

This was a golf vacation. The house was a short drive to the General golf course. The house was great. Four large bedrooms with bathrooms. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the screened in porch. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

We arrived to the 10 Haven house at 4pm to discover the air conditioning was off. It was 90 degrees outside and 95 inside when we arrived. We set the air (on an ancient manual thermostat) to 70 and contacted the property manager to notify of the unbearable heat. It was still 85 in the house by 9:30pm when we needed to head to bed for an early morning. Our contact, Linda tried her best to accommodate the sweltering heat by offering to send us to another property. However, the other available property was not large enough for our guests and was not available for the duration of our stay. Since we were exhausted from traveling and couldn't bare to repack, travel again, unpack, then turn around again in the morning to go back to the original property, we elected to open windows and sweat through the night. This is when we discovered that windows couldn't be opened (window cranks missing and no screens) and there were no fans. We didn't get much sleep.
The back deck had numerous loose planks and was dangerous. The garbage can was full and rotting on the deck which we discovered when sitting on the bottom deck (where the Hot Tub is) by the stench.
Since we reached out and no amicable solution was offered for the stay (we paid for a 4 bedroom house and our guests elected to find hotel rooms instead of dealing with the heat), our families, friends, and ourselves won't be renting thru vrbo with 'Vacation Homes of Galena by A Great Escape!' again. The overall experience was terrible.

Galena Getaway
