IBIS Budget, clue is in the name, but it is clean and tidy. We were going to the CHIO stadium every day and the free shuttle stopped right outside so we were very happy with that
Staff were very helpful and despite other reviews, available on site in the day time and evening
Breakfast is a reasonable spread of bread, pastries, scrambled eggs, cereal etc and you can have as much or little as you like
Walkable in 10 mins to the old town and 15 mins to the station or regular buses outside
The bedding is a little worn and the original pillows were flat and hard but when we asked for 2 more they were supplied without question.
Likewise towels a little worn but they changed them every other day
The shower and basin in the room is a little odd for a twin but we managed
Not the nicest part of town but perfectly safe

My wife and I had a wonderful time at IBIS Budget Hotel in Aachen during our vacation there. This is a well-run hotel! It is certainly budget - no gym, no pool, etc - but the basics are all very well executed. The room was clean and well-designed so that even though it is small, we found space for everything including my wife's numerous beauty products. Breakfast was healthy, tasty, and all-you-can-eat buffet style, and the staff were friendly and helpful! AC included too :)
Despite it's efficient layout, the room felt a little small for us, but for the price we are not disappointed.

No-frills but it was clean, comfortable and quiet, and the staff were lovely. Also only 15 minutes walk from the station.
The coffee at breakfast wasn't great, but honestly at that price I didn't mind going out to get a proper coffee afterwards.

The bed is comfortable. The staffs are friendly and the check in-out process are convenient.
We stay during warm days and the room is so warm. The air conditioner doesn‘t help. There are no hair dryer nor hair towel provided.
