Breakfast was very good.. bathroom a bit tired. Bed extremely comfortable and plenty of tea coffee and biscuits in the room. Entertainment and option of reasonably priced well cooked evening meal.

Evening staff were very friendly, particularly the lady behind the bar, who was by herself and was extremely busy but still managed to handle our queries about dinner that evening, book us in for breakfast and generally be very helpful about the menu options whilst still serving drinks to about 6 other people. Very lovely impressive lady! The breakfast was very nice, with home made sausage which I thought was a nice touch. We were joined for dinner by a friend of ours who lives locally and is vegan. We were impressed by the vegan choices on the menu and how easy they were to identify as we are all omnivores and have not had to worry about this before. Supper and breakfast were very good.
Our daughter had a lovely room in the old part of the hotel, but ours was a long way from reception and just had a skylight - no outside window at all - and therefore felt claustrophobic. I feel it should have been charged at less than our daughter's pretty room. The shower and bathroom were good, but the mattress was well past it's sell by date and we spent our entire night trying not to fall out of bed as the edges were collapsed. The waitress at breakfast took a long time to take our order.

no lift and have to climb a few flight of stairs. I also fell as the raised landing to the room did not have a light nor a florescent stripe
