Overall, we had a great stay with family and friends. Can’t beat the location! Across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The only complaint is the house was not super clean. We had a lot of hair on the floor in bathrooms. It also would have been nice to have a few more kitchen items (a bigger coffee pot) and maybe some cooking spray.
But overall, it’s a wonderful home and we would stay again.

Visiting this area for the first time with my two adult sons and a daughter in law for a long weekend. Location of this house is perfect...as the description says it is directly across from the beach with easy access ( across a main road).
Easy 10 minute walk to restaurants , bars, and shops.House was enjoyable and clean....beds were fairly comfortable and pillows were super comfy! Would agree with suggestions of screen on sliding glass door and screen doors to allow for cross breeze through the house. Windows could be open for breeze and ceiling fans worked fine as there is no AC, which is Not necessarily needed. Beach chairs and umbrellas could be replaced with new ones but worked fine and was nice to have along with wagon to cart everything to the beach. Fire pit also made for cozy evenings.
Easy entry into property with simple instructions and all things working properly. Overall very enjoyable and would definitely return to this property.

Our family loved our stay in Carlsbad! The rental was just as described and was the perfect location for beach fun. Our family really appreciated the fenced yard, fire pit, beach items, and the ocean view. We hope to return in the future. 🏖️

This home has such a great location! We were able to simply cross the street and enjoy the beach for surfing and sunsets without having to worry about finding that dreaded parking spot. It’s close to everything and the layout is great! We have VRBO’d several homes in the area and this by far was the best for our needs. We will be be back!

The location is great! The interior was clean. Dishes were all clean. The beach is right across the street. Downside: no a/c, no screen doors to let the breeze in, beds are really uncomfortable, bathrooms are tiny, living room needs more comfortable seating, outdoor space needs attention, needs pest control services for ants and spiders. We had expected more for the price.

This location has the best view of the ocean and the sun sets! You can't beat it! The yard is so big there is plenty of room for games, BBQ and relaxing. The parking is great too. The house works well for our 9 people. I recommend this house. This was our second time here and am sure we will be back!!

This property is lovely and just as described online. The location is perfect and seems to be in a great neighborhood.
The only drawbacks to keep in mind when booking:
- There are zero spices, etc in the kitchen, not even salt and pepper
- Some of the beach chairs are broken and one boogie board is missing a strap. At this price point all beach equipment should be in working order, as described on listing.
- The cleaning fee is double the fee of similar listings, and yet you are still asked to take out trash, start dishwasher, and start laundry.
We did have a great stay. It is a great property to families. However, I can not say for sure we would be back due to these small issues.

Our overall impression was positive. The house was clean. The location was excellent - walking distance to food, shops, etc. And the beach was right across the street! Nine of us fit comfortably in the house. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding. And lots of parking.
My only suggestions:
- the yard needed some serious weeding/maintenance
- screens on the slider would be great so we could enjoy the breeze and ocean sounds from the living room
- the cleaning fee was awfully high, especially since we were asked to start laundry, run the dishwasher, and empty the trash before leaving
Overall, though, it was a nice place to stay...clean, safe, and convenient. We would recommend.

The house is a great little hideaway by the beach. The property is huge and the house has everything you need, but the star is the location. Just walk across the cross walk and you’re there - it’s that easy. The renting process was also seamless and the owner was responsive. Just a pleasant experience all around.

The location and ocean view was great. The parking and and yard are ample in which was a driving factor for booking, along with being pet friendly. Slight problem with the heater, but the matter was addressed quickly.

We had a wonderful time staying at this Carlsbad beach house! Conveniently located next to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. Comfortable and clean. Beach towels and beach accessories were an added bonus. Cheryl was prompt and friendly!

Overall, the property was just what we needed for our stay. There is no A/C which was not an issue for us since we were there during a relatively cool period. However, it would have been helpful to have a screen door with the sliding door to allow for more airflow.
There was an issue with the hot water heater the day before we left which was unresolved. The pilot light would not stay lit and as a result we had minimal hot water. Property manager was quick to respond.
It would have been helpful to have basic toiletries on site such as shampoo/conditioner, body wash, sunscreen, toothpaste, etc. as well as basic food needs such as salt/pepper, condiments, spices, cooking oil. I really appreciated the beach towels, chairs--though one was broken., and sand toys. Having laundry on-site was wonderful. The location was perfect. We walked to "downtown" Carlsbad within 8-10 mins.

We had a wonderful time at the property - it is just as described. Communication throughout the planning and process with Cheryl was a breeze. Super friendly, professional, and responds almost instantly! It was my husband and I, our two grown sons with their wives, and our grandkids age 1, and 2 almost 3 year olds. Lots of bonding time here! We sat on the front porch and waved goodnight to the sun each evening as it disappeared. Easy to get to beach without packing up a car. Everything clean and in working order. I appreciated the nice wine glasses and abundance of dishes. The only suggestion I have would be a screen on the slider and front door, as we wanted them open for the beautiful breezes and ended up letting some flies in. Comfy, clean, convenient location, great property manager. We were so sad to leave, but shall be back!

Loved the house and being able to sit on front porch and watch the sunset every night. Everything worked fine. One tv (new) was not programed and we didn't have any luck trying. If you plan to cook, just be aware there are no condiments or spices, but kitchen had plenty of dishes and cook wear. All-in-all, a great home to vacation in.

We booked the house for the location. With 5 kids going to and from the beach it was perfect to be able to walk back and forth within 5 minutes.
The dryer is broken so that was a bummer for a family needing to do laundry and the house also does not have ac and we were there during record breaking heat so it was quite uncomfortable. Some basic cleaning supplies would also be helpful when staying.
Large yard, plenty of parking, and good bedrooms were huge pluses. A quick walk to downtown as well!

We stayed with a group of friends and absolutely loved it! The house was great and had everything we needed for a great trip. The extra beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards were an extra bonus! We loved being able to just walk across the street to the beach. Walking into town was also extremely accessible. Amazing trip!!!

It worked out very well for our family of 4 couples and a 2 year old. The location is excellent aside from the street noise. The bunk room was a surprise for the 4th couple. :) Soap is not provided, that would be helpful. :)

We loved this house as it is located a short walking distance from town. We wished the front blinds opened and that the ceiling fan in the front room worked as it gets a bit hot in the front room. Overall we would highly recommend this place! Great experience with check in and check out too.

Great house with all you need for the week. The yard was a huge plus for the kids and dog. Appliances worked perfectly and wonderful showers. We rented a golf cart and had our very own garage! Terrific amount of parking for our big SUV's

We love Carlsbad! What a great space to have my kids (20 somethings), and I spend quality time together enjoying the beach and area! My dad stayed nearby and my sister lives in Oceanside, everyone wanted to meet at the beach house for its perfect proximity to the beach and town. None of us wanted to leave! The wagon to haul chairs and boogie boards to the beach was super helpful! Plenty of towels for bathrooms and beach! Laundry soap and dryer sheets were provided. The fans for each room helped with the no AC, we were comfortable the whole week in July. We ended up bringing in a bunch of hangers and left them but the rooms could use more especially the bunk bed room (no dresser). We also left a football for the beach for future families. There are lots of sand toys in the garage, chairs, boogie boards, 2 coolers, and umbrellas. There is a Keurig AND regular coffee maker, awesome! So many pluses for this wonderful property. A couple deltas: need marshmallow roasting sticks for the firepit, ceiling fans and lamps could use a dusting, queen beds need replacement (I am an achey 48-yr old, the kids didn’t care-haha), and some of the blinds don’t go up making it cumbersome to open windows. All in all, a walk across the street to the waves, walking to town-no car needed, and watching the sunset from the porch can’t be beat! Enjoy your vacay!

Property very clean and organized! Very spacious, yard kid friendly gated all around. We loved sitting on porch for breakfast and watch people pass by running or walking. This Gem as you enter gives good vibes! Fire pit amazing! Everting is walking distance, which is great the restaurants are spectacular. Certainly coming back soon!
