Hard Rock Hotel Maldives - FREE shared speedboat for stays from 01st Mar to 21st Dec 2026

My first trip to Maldives was made even better by choosing Hard Rock Hotel. Super conveniently located 15 minutes away from the airport (by speedboat, as I wanted to avoid seaplane), I split my 5 day visit between the Silver Sky Studio and the Platinum Overwater villa. The silver sky studios were ideally located close to the main beach, restaurants and SUPER peaceful and quiet. Waking up to the sound of the breeze russling the palm trees and the beach waves was delightful. On the other hand, the overwater villa was a MUST to experience. Super private, stairs descending right into the ocean and a delightful private pool - this part of the stay was just unforgettable. The resort itself works like a super well oiled machine - where you can request most needs directly through their mobile app, instead of calling people all the time. The staff everywhere is super professional and courteous - from the host who received me to the staff at Sessions, Elephant & Butterfly, the housekeeping staff who kept the rooms in perfect shape at all times, they all contributed to what was a PERFECT stay at Hard Rock Hotel. I had a consistently good experience food wise at the Hotel, with all the restaurants offering diverse lunch and dinner options, and my All Inclusive plan covered everything! The island itself was a distinct experience as there are three resorts on the same island with plenty to do, and the marina crossroads near by has some great food options if you want a change (do splurge on Ministry of Crab, which was delicious!) or just want to take a stroll in the evening. Staff very nice, helpful and friendly. Room clean, very comfortable. Food amazing.

In our last day, the sea smelled really bad and the water wasn’t clean at all. We reported this to the staff.

Near the airport

The hotel is understaffed, (the staff members work more than 11hours u can see they are tired )which affected the overall service. Cleanliness could have been much better, the entertainment felt low-budget, and the food was just average.
