The room we got was absolutely gorgeous
This was our second stay at the Goodwin Hotel. We had stayed 4 years ago when it first opened and the restaurant had still to open we returned as wanted to see what it was like now. When we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed yet again as it was Labor Day Monday, not only that the but bar was also closed for the same reason. The hotel was booked a month in advance and we had no prior notification that the bars and restaurant would not be available and were extremely disappointed. The room was also advertised as having a ‘private entrance’ when in fact it was just another room on floor 3. We did visit the rooftop bar on our visit for a look, even though there was no service and wished we hadn’t as the carpet needed a good vacuuming and behind the bar were peeled oranges in an open glass. ( Obviously the rinds being used for cocktails). Overall a very disappointing stay, we won’t make the same mistake again.
