This lifeguard-staffed beach is located within minutes of the world-class Coeur d'Alene Resort as well as the family-friendly city park. The 'City Beach Brownstone' is located in the prestigious 'Fort Grounds' neighborhood. This 1905 stone home was completely 're-invented' in 2006 taking care to maintain the homes heart and soul. Hardwood floors are gleaming throughout the home on both levels. This well-appointed home includes luxury linens, jetted soaking tub, granite counters, original clawfoot tub, uncluttered contemporary art, comfortable furniture, and two stories to spread out your family. If you are considering a family vacation this home puts you steps away from the beachfront excitement yet surrounded by a tranquil neighborhood. North Idaho College summer plays are an easy walk away as well as the Castle Play Structure in the city park. The famous Coeur d'Alene golf course with its island green is nearby as well as Tubbs Hill, parasailing, great restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. The main floor bedroom has a king luxury bed, the two bedrooms upstairs have one luxury king bed and a luxury queen bed. Host was pleasant to speak to but inattentive to the resolving the misleading details presented in the description. He did not send us check in instructions so we had to call when we arrived. Listing states it can sleep 8 but it only sleeps 6 and the host confirmed the hide-a-bed in the living room was removed a few years ago. Upper bedroom ceiling looked as though it was about to collapse as there was cracking, sagging and a hole showing rafters. Advertises a fireplace but does not disclose you have to provide the wood. Lastly, to unlock the deadbolts of the front and back doors from the inside a key was needed which is a safety hazard to exit in an emergency. House was charming and the issues could have been resolved rather easily with a little more effort.

The location is top notch, for our family the size of the house worked very well, the front deck was a great place to have morning coffee. It was 100° on our first night, very warm in the upstairs, but not much can be done about that kind of temperature. I would recommend.

We loved our stay and the proximity to the lake was perfect! I went for a walk each morning. Dan was easy to reach before we arrived and after when we left something behind. My only suggestions would be to turn on the upper AC prior to guests arrive. It took a bit to cool it down. And maybe put a sofa sleeper in the library. But we truly had an amazing stay!

This house is in prime location from the lake, downtown, and parks! It’s on a quiet street and has a great front porch. It is on the older side 1905 I believe so it does have some rather steep stairs (hard with toddlers) and it was pretty hot upstairs, however I believe we were there during a heat wave. It has everything you need for your stay and Dan is easy to communicate with.

We enjoyed the beautiful quiet neighborhood while being close to downtown and the lake. Older home, but met the basic needs. We only had light breakfasts but the kitchen was reasonably stocked. Plenty of towels and hot water. Enjoyed!

We loved this VRBO in Coeur d'Alene. Such a great neighbourhood and close walk to the lake and downtown area. The upstairs was quite hot and needs better AC but the main floor had better AC. Dan was easy to reach and prompt in responding to our questions. Overall, a great stay.

Charming CDA home. Short walk to the resort and convenient to all shops and restaurants. Close enough for the young children with us to walk. Very close to Fort Sherman park, walked over several times for the kids to play. We stayed in the winter but would also be a great place to stay for summer vacation. Just a short walk to the beach. The owner was very responsive, friendly and quick to answer any questions I had. We would definitely stay here again.

Very cute, -maintained property that is within walking distance to the lake and downtown. The house is very homey and located in a quiet neighborhood. The property manager is responsive and quick to communicate. We really enjoyed our stay.

A cute little bungalow in a beautiful neighborhood, just steps away for Lake CDA, and walking distance to the Resort and Downtown. The house has been nicely renovated and was perfect for what our group needed, while in CDA for a work trip. Beds were comfortable and we had all the things we needed! We look forward to staying again in the future!

My boys and I had a very nice stay here. The property is very well located, near the park, lake, and downtown (all walking distance). The house was very clean and well appointed. Dan did a great job communicating and was very friendly. It was a bit warm upstairs, but we were also there when it was 100 degrees, so that’s to be expected to some extent. I would stay here again for sure.

Very clean, great location, quiet, nice stay. You can walk to everything from here, which made it convenient. But it was also far enough that it was a nice quiet stay. House was clean and well appointed. There were AC's which helped, but the upstairs bedrooms did get very warm. At night, just open the windows and the night air cooled the house.
