About this house rental
Situated in Coeur dAlene, this charming house for $395 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This spacious house has almost always been the home of a doctor, beginning with Dr Dwyer in the 1920's, Dr Carlson in the 1940's, and Dr Don and Dr Jane Gumprecht in 1951. The Gumprecht children, three of whom are themselves doctors, now offer this gracious accommodation for your vacation enjoyment. Situated in the historic, peaceful Fort Grounds Neighborhood, it is right in the middle of all that makes Coeur d'Alene famous. The neighborhood was born before the automobile, when everyone walked. It remains within easy walking distance of most everything. Confirm this by doing a map search of Military Drive. Then review the web sites of the CDA Visitors Bureau and the nearby Coeur d'Alene Resort for a complete run down of the area's attractions, close in and farther out, summer and winter. If you can tolerate purple prose, read VRBO listing #185852 for further descriptions of neighborhood history. The Doctors' Inn has been refurbished with one new and one renovated bathroom (the half bath retains its 1957 pink glory). The kitchen appliances are new. There are now 3 cable TV's, Broadband, a game room with foosball, Wii, board games, cards, toys, and the like. Sleeping space is ample and we are pleased with the preparations made to accommodate families with small children. We intend for everyone to have a vacation of cherished memories. Keywords: House

Lovely period home like walking back in time but charming through and through. This home had a well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and tons of space, and was a hit with our family during our reunion in Couer D'Alane this summer. No need to drive to the beach as a short walk brings you to the water's edge in 5 minutes. Would reccommend this for all ages of family members.

The house was like stepping back in time.....my grandchildren were fasinated with the nooks and crannies.....the .kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in.The bbq would have been nice except for the fact the two tanks were totally empty....we survived....such a great location....we had a great time...thanks for sharing your properry with us.....!

We loved staying at this home! My kids loved all of the nooks and crannies, and all of the stairs and rooms. Perfect location! Close to the lake and to town. Fast responses and easy to communicate with owners. We loved it here!

Love love love the Doctor’s Inn. I hesitate to write a raving review because selfishly I don’t want to ever lose our annual spot here. This home is a walk back into simpler, lovely, family times. We refer to this house and town as “Our happy place”. Roni, remember to keep our yearly spot please please please!

We LOVED this property. It is right in the middle of everything. You can walk to the beach, park, downtown, everything. Roni was extremely understanding when we had an unfortunate incident (sick baby) early on the morning of our departure. Roni was available to answer any and all questions immediately. There were so many dishes, the kitchen has everything you need. Enough towels for days! Thank you for sharing your property with us, Roni.

The house was clearly a family home and was a good fit for our family vacation with our three adult children and two grandchildren. Close to the lake and the park which made for an easy walk. Plenty of space for everyone. Well equipped kitchen made for easy meal prep.

This was the perfect family vacation for us. Everyone had their own space, we fit around the dining table and played games in the living room. We loved being so near the beach and town.

This was a great place to stay with multiple people. One of the things that stood out was how this place had pretty much everything. The house was clean and had very unique character. If we are ever back in the area with a large group this place would be top on the list.

Great graduation gathering
The house & location were perfect. I took my daughter and her friends as a graduation gift from Gonzaga University for the week. We had a great time & I would definitely rent this place again.

Never a disappointment. This is the fourth or fifth summer we have come back to this rental. Plenty of rooms and space for extended family. Great location as it’s so close to the beach, park and docks. We all had an amazing time!

This home was amazing! It was beautiful, nostalgic, and very clean! Everything we needed and more was available. My kids and I had the best time in the home and at the lake. This was a relaxing, fun, and memorable vacation that we made many good memories on. This was my first time renting someone else’s home on any site and it did NOT disappoint! THANK YOU!

This is our third year renting this house for a small family reunion in the summer. Can’t beat the location!! Close to the beach, park and the CDA resort. This rental is so homey, feels like you are at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s!

Great Family Reunion
This was the perfect property for our extended family celebration. It’s big and cozy with plenty of room to sit, talk, play games, share meals and chores. Just like home with the advantage of a quiet and beautiful setting close to the beach and downtown/marina/parks area. We were all well-pleased with our stay and would come again. Thank you!

Lovely home
We needed a home to stay in for our daughter's wedding. The Doctor's home was perfect. We had 9 of us and the home gave us so much room and just the feel of the home was so special. Even the bridal party came and got ready for the wedding and the front room could not have been more perfect. The neighborhood was beautiful and Fort Sherman park was so close that the grandkids could go often to play. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning one day.
