We stayed three nights, visited nearby places, and did a bike ride along the causeway. Very peaceful location with great views. House has everything we needed. Hosts were friendly. The local tavern was also friendly.

This was the perfect location for us to explore the cute towns and leaf peeping around the area. We could easily get to where we wanted to go and got to come to a beautiful view every evening.

We really enjoyed our stay at Loon Cottage. The cottage is right on the lake and we so enjoyed sitting down by the beach and watching all the activity. Excellent hosts. Walking distance to market and restaurants. Quiet and peaceful.

Beverly & gordon are very nice people & hosts. The cottage is very clean & comfortable and is in a beautiful area easy access to bike path and they let us keep our bikes in there garage. We definitely would go back. We highly recommend staying at this cottage especially with lake champlain right there and fishing off the dock was very nice. Thank you Beverly & gordon

We loved our stay at the Loon Cottage on Mallets Bay. The cottage was perfect along with its location. They had a dock, so we were able to bring our boat and enjoy the lake. The cottage had everything we needed. Gordon and Bev were great hosts and they have a perfect little slice of paradise.

Location location location! This small rustic cottage is located in beautiful Mallots Bay. Very close to boat launch which is convenient since we brought our boat. Owners live next door but they are not intrusive at all. They were actually very accommodating to our needs.

We were moving our son into UVM, what a gem of a sweet lakehouse retreat! 15min from school and 3min from Mazza general store for last min things. The sweatiest little place so thoughtfully decorated and the kitchen was the best! Linens and fans and acs we wanted for nothing at all. The beach was beautiful, we caught a bunch of fish and just had the best time. I’d book again in a second can’t wait to come back soon 5 stars for sure! We rent in and around Maine probably 5x a year and this this might be my fav so far!

My husband and I had a fabulous time. He loved that he could bring his kayak out into the bay any day the weather permitted. I was able to enjoy my water fitness exercises! The cottage is warm and friendly, stocked with all the basics. The only downside is the weak, spotty internet, but with all that beautiful nature around us, it didn't matter.

Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. The property was well-kept with lovely gardens and plants everywhere which all looked amazing. Location was great for our purpose of biking trails nearby and spending time in Burlington. Wi-fi was a little spotty (which was actually kind of nice to unplug for a few days) but if one needed to work remotely might be tricky.

Very clean cottage with lovely lake views from the dining and bedroom areas. We spent every evening sitting by the lake and enjoying the quiet. My husband kayaked every morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good for couples and small families. There is a stair to go down to get to the cottage but, even as seniors, we had no problem with them and being closer to the water increased the sense of seclusion. Would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy cottage within steps to Mallets Bay. We kayaked at sunrise, fished off the dock, and made s'mores over the firepit at night. It was a wonderful place to relax and have fun. The hosts were friendly and gave us great recommendations for local spots. Highly recommend!

Our family (my wife and I, and are two girls, 7 and 4) had a great time staying here. The house was just right for our family, but may be a bit small for older children. The views of the water are gorgeous, and especially so in the Fall. We were a little surprised by the lack of cable TV, and any movies to watch on the DVD player. Luckily we brought some movies! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

This house was very old. We paid $60 in overage charges because unless you sat in the kitchen right at the doorway you could not get on the Internet at all. TV - Basically 3 channels. Also the instructions from VRBO to get on internet at all - completely wrong and the instructions left in house also wrong because all were in lower case - and even though my husband went next door to hosts house - he had no clue - my husband had to figure out what was upper case, what was lower, and when his wife who was away was asked - she also replies it was all in lower case. Do these people know what they are doing? Sleeps 4? No way. The bed in the "porch" bedroom was a double at best - tiny and no closet. The twin beds were soft as mush. The kitchen was stocked ok, but everything is very, very old. I'm sorry - I have never left such a poor review, and after that I don't trust others do - since they gave it such a high rating. It was frustrating at best.

The location of this charming cottage couldn't have been better. We brought bikes and kayaks and were able to use them frequently. The lake view is wonderful and relaxing. Our hosts, Bev and Gordon, were helpful and accommodating in so many ways, such as letting us keep our bikes in their garage. Thanks for a great vacation - we will be back!

This was the first time using VRBO and we were not disappointed. The owners were very kind and timely when it came to answering my silly questions. The cottage is very cozy and was the perfect place to unwind and get some much needed rest. Bev gave us a great recommendation for our anniversary dinner; Leunig's was awesome and very romantic! The weather wasn't what we expected but the area is beautiful regardless!

We had a wonderful time staying at this cozy cottage! Bev and Gordon were very kind and accomodating. We were able to enjoy all of the activities we came to the area for without having to drive too far. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided to explore Lake Champlain, went to the nearby bike trails, went to all the delicious restaraunts, etc. Thank you so much for leting us stay!

We were very happy with our stay at Malletts Bay - it is a very pretty location and the double bed in the main bedroom looks right out onto the bay, boats and at night the lights reflect off the water- so pretty. We made good use of the outdoor picnic table, lawn chairs, kayak and beach area. We had issues with the internet which was fairly hard to connect to / weak. Our visit included some work hours and that made it difficult. There are a fair number of steps down to this cottage from parking which may be an issue for some people. There are friendly neighbors - (with cute dogs!!) As well. Nice place for a family visit.
