About this apartment rental
One bedroom studio apartment perfect for a couple or family with young kids. King size firm pillow top bed and full size futon, suitable for children. Fully equipped kitchen and large bathroom. Covered porch facing the beach which is just a few steps away plus a deck with lounge chairs. Unbeatable beachfront location and views. Kayaks and paddle boards included.
Spanish Wells is an historic lobster fishing community with a beautiful beach, several good restaurants where fresh seasonal catch is on the menu. The apartment is centrally located and food and liquor stores as well as restaurants are walkable, but we highly recommend renting a gold cart (buggy) to explore the island and adjoining Russell Island. There are no hotels or large resorts which helps the island keeps its distinct charm.

Our recent stay at Bahama Palms Beach Club in Spanish Wells was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, Vince and Lori were exceptional hosts—friendly, responsive, and always available with helpful recommendations, local knowledge, and assistance whenever needed.
The Beach Retreat unit exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable, well-maintained, and featured a beautiful beachfront view right from the back of the property. One of our favorite aspects was the easy access to the water and the abundance of complimentary equipment available, including kayaks, paddleboards, and floats, which made enjoying the crystal-clear waters effortless and fun.
The location could not have been better. We were conveniently close to restaurants, shops, and local activities, making it easy to explore everything Spanish Wells has to offer. Renting a golf cart is definitely a must, as it allows you to comfortably discover both Spanish Wells and neighboring Russell Island via the bridge.
We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. The combination of exceptional hosts, wonderful accommodations, stunning waterfront access, and an ideal location made for a perfect island getaway. We highly recommend Beach Retreat and look forward to returning in the future.

What a great time. Property manager met us at the ferry drop off and showed us everything. Just like other reviews, location was the best on the island. The locals were so hospitable and we even had dinner with a few of them and made some friends. Kayaks were great in the water out front. Sandbar was a short walk in less than 4ft of water. Tons of outdoor seating. So refreshing how everyone trusts each other and helps each other out. Wish the rest of the world was like this. We will be back!
