About this house rental
Nestled in Princeville, this lovely house for $515 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Mapu Place is a bright spacious 3-bedroom home in Princeville. Its open floor plan and vaulted ceilings gives a large welcoming feeling. There are wood floors throughout the great room and bedrooms. The bathrooms and kitchen have lovely travertine tile. There are ceiling fans throughout the house including in the kitchen and master bathroom. All counter tops are granite. This is truly an executive house. The master suite is on the far side of the house giving it privacy. Through this bedroom you will find the master bathroom with his and her sinks but also his and her shower heads in the large open shower. The two other rooms both containing king size beds. A bathroom that has a Jacuzzi tub joins the two rooms. A fourth sleeping space is in the loft with two twin beds. The kitchen is one of the many highlights of the home. The large island has a double sink, dishwasher and wine refrigerator. There is a gas stove with an electric oven. The built-in microwave is also a convection oven. There are plenty of dishes, platters, serving bowls, wine glasses and even champagne glasses for wining and dinning at home. The kitchen includes quality pots and pans, crock-pot, rice cooker, blender, coffee maker, toaster, mixing bowls, etc. The lanai is off the kitchen. It has a couch and two comfortable seats with ottomans. The yard has banana trees, bamboo, lemon trees, palm trees and more. The morning is bright and beautiful on the lanai and cool and shady in the afternoons. The second lanai has a large gas grill. The great room has a large open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. The dining room has a large teak dining table that seats 6. The living room has a 65-inch flat screen TV with apple TV and a blue ray player. There is WiF through out the house. The loft also has a flat screen TV. There is a foosball table along with board games and puzzles. In the Two-car garage that you can pull your car into, are three bikes. The ping pong table, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, boogie boards, etc. are all ready to be enjoyed by you and your family. TA- 103-933-1328-03

The location was fantastic in a homely neighborhood, easy access to beach, reasturants with minutes drive. The house was clean, very well equipped for a family with young kids. Catherine was super friendly for neighborhood suggestions and very prompt in helping with our requests. The entrance lotus png with purple lotus was so pretty, well maintained house, good ventilation too. Overall our family enjoyed the stay at this house.

Nice house and we enjoyed our stay but there were a few things in need of small repair. We stayed 2 wks and we did not tell the property owner about any of these issues. She was attentive in making herself available if needed.
BBQ wouldn't stay lit, the ceiling fan in main living rm squeaks and there was an issue with flying ants and other ants in the master bedroom and bathroom at night.
It was clean and there were beautiful surroundings.Nice yard with some privacy with lovely singing birds and bowl lilly ponds. If your older their is a wonderful walking path through the golf course but you can not walk to the beach. Most activities on the other side of the island. Great breeze in the evening and food shopping close by. We rated this stay 4 stars

My wife and I stayed here for 12 nights on our honeymoon. The house was bigger than what we required but we wanted something spacious and private and this more than fit the bill. The owner, Catherine was communicative and helpful. The house is gorgeous and has everything you could want for a vacation stay including beach gear, lots of towels, grill, bicycles, ping pong, foosball and more. The backyard is private with a very comfortable sitting area. There's no air-conditioning which I was a little apprehensive about given that we were there in high summer but the weather is perfect and there are fans everywhere, plus large sliding doors and lots of windows which keep the air circulated so we were never uncomfortable at any point. Highly recommended and I would go back.

Stayed at this house for over a week. The kitchen/outdoor grill were perfect for making meals in. The location was great to watch sunrise and sunsets. Our property manager was easy to communicate and prompt with any concerns we had. Would highly recommend!

It suited our needs perfectly!
Location: It was on Government Camp Loop, so we could walk to any location in Government Camp (even when it was extremely snowy!) easily.
Information: Binder was very informative; parking pass was very helpful.
Cabin: Bed was cozy, couch was comfy, and the fireplace was a nice touch. Lots of natural light. Mudroom was essential during winter conditions.
Access: We went during a winter storm, so the route to and from the house was what someone was able to snow-shovel. Additionally, the stairs to the 2nd story were pretty narrow. I say this to indicate that if you aren't mobile or if you have health/walking/stability issues, this probably isn't the cabin for you (especially during the winter). It worked great for us however.

The teens had a place upstairs all to themselves.. everything was clean and pretty well maintained... screen door in kitchen was off ..my nephews tried fixing but it wouldn't stay on .. and garage bin in kitchen keep sliding open .,,.. but overall it was perfect for us... would stay again

House was exactly as stated, there were a couple of electrical issues but host was receptive and fixed. All of our needs were met and the location was good for us, safe, quiet and comfortable. We didn’t use the games provided or the upstairs at all.

Great but no ac
This property was perfect for all our needs except ac. We had to buy a fan because it was so hot up in the loft. Someone also came during our stay and moved some things and locked a storage area. It would’ve been fine but they should’ve notified us of the visit. The wine frig is broken. It was over heating. Not a problem we just used the main frig. Great kitchen! We had most of our meals and family time there. The back porch was perfect in the evenings! The tvs didn’t work for us because the remotes didn’t work. That sucked. Our kids enjoyed the ping pong table, bikes, and boogie boards! It was very comfortable except the ac. It did not mention there was no ac when I booked the house in the description. Loved that we had our private washer and dryer! Overall we had a blast just wished we could watch tv in the evenings. Not enough trash cans to accommodate the trash piled up from previous renters.

A fabulous fun house!
Location is excellent, but what the family enjoyed most was all the fun toys and games in the house! Ping pong, foosball, bikes, boogie boards, snorkel equipment! And manager was very responsive whenever I emailed. Thanks for such a memorable stay!

Catherine's home was the perfect place for a family holiday on Kauai. The house is very large and comfortable - equipped with a huge kitchen/dining area, grill, family rooms. There was enough room for 6 adults and 2 children to sleep comfortably. The house is located in Princeville and is walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, parks, as well as some beaches. It is an easy drive to Hanalei Bay and Anini beach (and other parts of Kauai). Catherine provided snorkel/beach gear - there was also ping pong and foosball tables and a lot of games which were big hits with the kids. The check in /check out processes were easy and Catherine was quick to answer any questions we had. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely stay at this house again for any future trips!

My family of 4 had a great time staying here. The location is good, just a short drive to some beautiful north shore beaches, or a 20 min walk to the Princeville resort. The many ceiling fans go some way to making up for the lack of air conditioning, but AC would be a wonderful upgrade.

Everything was exceptionall. The rooms, the decor, the cleanliness, the landscape, the responsiveness of the owner!
The kitchen is gourmet standard so it was only appropriate that we hire a chef whom prepared an amazing meal and raved about the kitchen. The property was in walking distance to restaurants, a grocery and ice cream store and more.. we took full advantage of the bikes and as well as the beach gear. Will definitely be back!
