About this lodge
Nestled in Colorado, this charming lodge for $1,095 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. No cleaning fees; check the overall price before booking! Pronounced Tiz-Reed, we are large enough for big gatherings, and can host your event of up to 50 people, but only if all those attending are staying on site on one of the three short term rentals on Tihsreed's 70 acres of property (3911339ha, 2472941, and this property). If you want to host a gathering of more than 18 people, please get all your questions answered before doing a "Book it Now". We are happy to assist you with your planning and will happily answer all your questions. TihsreeD (Tiz-reed) Lodge is a magical luxurious mountain estate. It is the perfect place to relax, build bonds, and create memories. If you are looking for 'Quintessential Colorado', you have found it!. We are a private mountain home less than an hour from Colorado Springs in Teller County, Colorado. The venue is on 70 secluded acres with wonderful views of Pikes Peak. Warm and luxurious. Our very central location puts your guests close to fun things to do while visiting Colorado. Florissant Fossil Bed Monument is just down the road. There are horse stables, hiking trails, ATV rentals, fishing lakes/rivers, microbreweries, skiing, rafting and more an hour or less away. In fact, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy less than 5 miles from the Lodge: free historical museum, local artisan shops, hiking, rock hunting, fishing and more. But why even leave the TihsreeD! Your guests will enjoy the 3.5 miles of private hiking, digging for rare minerals on site, hunting for Native American modified trees, feeding wood into one of the many fireplaces, or soaking in one of the hot tubs. Perhaps whacking some golf balls from the golf tee would be fun, or playing horseshoes, ladder ball or corn hole. There are plenty of fun indoor and outdoor activities right on the property. More about the Home: Perfectly balanced between the 'necessities' and 'getting away from it all', the property has spectacular views and abundant wildlife. Wrap around decks allow you to enjoy beautiful Pikes Peak views. Outdoor areas include: large patios with fireplaces, hot tubs, and a tee box. You and your guests can end the day with a cozy fire or a warm soak as you marvel at thousands of bright stars overhead. As you enter The Lodge you will be greeted with a wall of windows as well as a floor to ceiling stone fireplace in one of the two spectacular great rooms. Unique art and antiques are showcased throughout the home. Whimsical additions include a vintage Pepsi dispenser and a Bally pinball machine in the lower level bar area. You and your guests can select from 6 spacious bedrooms, 4 of which are master suites. Many of the rooms feature a sleeping nook perfect for parents with children. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is there internet available? A: TihsreeD is located in the Rocky Mountains. We are not sited in an area well covered by cell towers, but we now have "Starlink" internet service. Q: How far is TihsreeD from grocery and other stores/restaurants? A: There are convenience stores and restaurants 3 miles away, a small grocer and other shops 10 miles away in Divide, and a full service grocery store plus many other familiar retailers and restaurants 15 miles away in Woodland Park. Q: Are the hot tubs available all year round? A: Yes, the hot tubs are available year round. Q: Should we bring bottled water? A: At TihsreeD we have delicious, clean, healthful mountain water from right out of the tap. Save your money, save the environmental cost of trucking water and save the recycling of plastic bottles. Don't bother with bottled water. Enjoy the free mountain water from the well.

This is the 13th annual USS El Paso Navy reunion. I was embarrassed by how the property owner treated my shipmates and my wife. The property was run down and dusty. The hand rails are loose and not safe. The refrigerator didn’t work and our food spoiled. We were charged for 20 people; however, the home has 6 bedrooms not 13 that as advertised. The house was too small to accommodate my group. I alerted management of my predicament and she yelled from her balcony that there was no house with 13 bedrooms. The house had 6 bedrooms with extra beds in the closets not suited for adults. Ridiculous sleeping quarters for my Navy shipmates. Owner Toni was unwelcoming and rude. Not happy for extra charge to get more rooms that shouldn’t be required if the house actually had 13 rooms per contract. My friends came from many states to enjoy Colorado. The beautiful pictures did not match the property. My friends and I were disappointed. We did not get what we paid for . I don’t recommend this to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. We loved the open concept of the kitchen and loved sitting at the island in the kitchen at breakfast and looking out the window seeing the beautiful Pikes Peak mountain and watching the sun rise. There was 15 in our group and we had plenty of room and room to spare. We had a couple of visitors come up to the cabin. One of them was a buck that came to the porch and walked down the side stairs to the lower level. I was little disappointed it didn't snow BUT there was plenty of snow on the ground already to enjoy. The only thing is that the upper level rooms were cold if the fireplace was not turned on. We looked for a vent in one of the rooms but didn't see any so that would be the only suggestion I would have. Overall we loved the property, the home, the area, and especially the views!! We made some fun memories. If we had any questions, Mr. Moore was available to answer them.

My HUSBAND and I had our wedding at TihsreeD this past weekend and it could not have been a more beautiful weekend. We picked TihsreeD for our wedding venue because we wanted our family and friends to be able to celebrate the entire weekend with us, just not one day. This venue is perfect for a weekend wedding - more than enough room for everyone and so much to do on 50 acres of land.
My husband and I are both runners so Toni and Don, the owners, organized a race for us on the property the day before our wedding. They mapped it out, made sure it was in good condition, gave us tours of the course the night before the race, and made sure it was marked for all of the runners - above and beyond what we expected of them!
On the day of our wedding Toni helped us with the morning craziness of finishing getting the reception barn ready and dealing with some of the vendors all while keeping completely calm. Don was our officiant and we could NOT have had a more beautiful ceremony. He is SO well spoken. After the ceremony, both Toni and Don helped keep things running smoothly with directing people to cocktail hour, helping w/ bartending, setting up an outside dance floor for our guests, and so much more.
They are wonderful people with a wonderful venue and truly care about their guests. We will never forget this weekend and hope to return for family vacations, anniversaries, and maybe a run or two!

If you are looking for rustic elegance AND quintessential Colorado TihsreeD is the place. Private, personalized, and professional are great words to describe TihsreeD. The wedding was absolutely fabulous and allowed for off beat personalization of our vows. Our guests were extremely impressed.
If you want something unique and special I definitely suggest TihsreeD.

We rented the lodge along with the cabin and reception barn for our small wedding. We had around 35 people in attendance with the majority staying in either the cabin or reception for the extended weekend. It was the perfect spot to host an intimate wedding with so many extras included. We went hiking, saw wildlife, went hot tubbing, and played yard and bored games throughout the weekend. Don and Toni were extremely accommodating and had everything you needed. Although the weather was unpredictable for our May wedding, everyone worked together well to make it work. I loved this place as well as everyone that enjoyed the weekend with us. We hope to go back in five years with the same group of people to relive this perfect weekend. Highly Recommended!

We had an amazing wedding and party for our guests at Tihsreed! Everyone was able to stay and was totally comfortable in one of the many beautiful rooms they had available. We had a few too many guests that weren't able to stay on the property, so Toni and Don took care of renting the Cowboy Cove up the street for them which worked out great! All our family and friends are still talking about how our wedding was the best...great venue and service, beautiful place and so relaxing! We'd would recommend getting married or having a family reunion here in a heart beat.

We will never forget our stay at TihsreeD. It was one of very limited wedding venues we checked out and immediately knew it was what we were looking for - a place for both of our families to gather and spend a weekend with everything on site. All of our guests fully enjoyed their stay and of course, have called it the "best wedding ever." I'm biased but, I agree. We were able to have our dog in our ceremony and on site which greatly eased my worries and made my day. We were allowed the freedom to decorate the barn as we wished and made it our own for the day. We also set up our walkway and arch and hosted a fun reception night in the barn. We wanted to host our wedding in a location that felt like one of our homes - and that's what this felt like! Wishing we could get married every year! (Ok, not really.)

Our family of 12 stayed for a week at this beautiful cabin. It was the first time we had had an "all family" vacation for that length of time. It far exceeded our expectations. Pictures cannot catch the magic! The cabin is big, spacious, and gave us plenty of room to be together and yet do our own thing. We celebrated a 3 yr old birthday, and 2 anniversaries during our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The views of Pikes Peak were constantly changing all day long. We enjoyed the driving range, walks, swinging and hot tub. We rode the train in Cripple Creek, and the wolf and dinosaur attractions. The young adults looked forward to their daily runs. The kitchen was large enough for all of us to visit and snack as we cooked.
Don & Toni were friendly and attentive to our needs, and made us feel at home. We were all very sad when our week was up, and agreed we would be back in 2 years. Just the kind of thing a mom & pop want to hear from their grown children and grandchildren.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tihsreed to you. We loved it and you will too.

Our large group, 14 adults and 9 little guys (1 to 9) spent a week at Tihsreed. It was just perfect for our celebration of family, relaxing and having fun together. Don was an awesome host, and it was a pleasure to visit with him. Don allowed our son to bring his ATV along and ride on the trails around the property. The kids all ran and played on the huge deck and patio for hours, and on the one rainy day, they hung out in the family room downstairs to watch movies. Our favorite place to gather was the front deck with the comfy furniture. We all had plenty of space, and some of the kids liked camping out in the "under the stairs nook". 3 of the bedrooms have big extra side rooms to put sleeping babies in Pack-n-plays or kids on air mattresses. The golf tee was fun, and the kids liked hiking down the mountain to find the balls. We used the hot tub in the evenings, and were lucky enough to have a full moon while we were there. If you are an early riser, go out on the back deck and watch the birds fly up to greet you. We spent two afternoons in Eleven Mile Canyon, and took all the kids for a train ride in Cripple Creek. The pizza at Lake George Pizzeria is awesome (the Greek pizza was my fav). We loved staying here, and will definitely come back again. Very easy access from CO Springs, very scenic drive, and plenty of things to see and do. We were worried that we would not have easy access to groceries, and brought too much food. It turned out to be no problem to drive into Woodland Park for extras, but the little store in Florissant had most of the things we ran out of (ice, milk, beer). The lodge and property were extremely well maintained, beautiful and even better than we imagined. We couldn't have asked for a better host or a better place.

Our family of twelve used Tihsreed as a home base during our recent Colorado Holiday. We are a wide variety of ages and tastes. Every last one of us left in love with the property and the house. Don and Toni were very welcoming and very helpful. The pictures cannot due justice to the warmth of this home.
I was a perfect base for us all to enjoy the amazing things to do in the area.
This was our families first time to Colorado and we were looking for a location that would give us the true feel of the area. And this home exceeded our expectations.
The views from the back of the house were absolutely breath taking we loved to watch the mountains in the morning. We loved relaxing on the front porch and enjoying those views of the forest and the wild life. A deer walked within feet of us while were were grilling one evening.
My whole family and I would highly recommend Tihsreed and it's gracious hosts if you are considering getting away to the mountains of Colorado. There is plenty to do and explore in the area and it was a gorgeous warm and inviting place to come home to in the evening.
I think we would all agree it was one of our best vacations.

Our family highly recommends Tihsreed Lodge! Our group of 14 people representing 3 generations spent 4 wonderful days enjoying this beautiful home. It is even more fantastic than the pictures show and is even better than described. The home was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Don and Toni were very easy to work with through the reservation process, due to a scheduling conflict within the family we had to change dates and they were most gracious. The home itself is secluded but easy to get to and close to the popular attractions. The kids in our group loved the trails around the property and the wonderful swing. There was plenty of space in the house to spread out, though we spent a lot of time outside taking in all the beauty that is on all sides of the home. The wildlife was fun to watch, we saw several deer and even a fox. We ate nearly all of our meals at the Lodge and loved cooking in the spacious, well appointed kitchen. Everyone in our group would say that there can't be a better place to stay in the Colorado Springs area. We are very eager to return!

6 stars out of 5! Tihsreed was the perfect place to celebrate our son's graduation from the Air Force Academy. Family and friends gathered from FL, NC, CO and even Spain to commemorate this special event...and Tihsreed was the ideal setting. Lodge is beautiful with all the amenities...we especially enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace on the patio. And how often do you get a chance to hit golfballs into Pike's Peak? Most importantly, we really appreciated Don's hospitality and generosity. Our family made some great memories at Tihsreed and we hope to return soon! ~ Sean & Inma Jones

My husband and I chose Tihsreed as a neutral location to bring our families together for the first time for our wedding. His family traveled from Portugal and mine from Kansas. The lodge provided the perfect setting for everyone to get to know each other prior to the ceremony. We had several days of trail-hiking, pinball playing, s'more eating, golfing, and family time before the ceremony. With the location we were able to visit some of the nearby attractions, Pikes Peak Highway, Garden of the Gods and the wold sanctuary.
Don was an amazing host, very friendly and more helpful than I ever could have imagined. Prior to our arrival he assisted with finding a photographer, hairstylist and restaurant for the wedding night dinner. And, he even performed our ceremony (we had the legal stuff done prior to arrival)! Above and beyond what we ever would have expected from the lodge owner!
Everyone, young and old, loved their time at Tihsreed and we hope to be able to go again in the future!!

We Thoroughly enjoyed our Spring Break week at Tihsreed Lodge. The house is fabulous! We enjoyed all the amentities. The view from all three levels is so amazing. We loved the hot tub, outdoor fireplace, exploring trails, and of course, the pets. Jersey, Hudson, Three, and Four were enjoyable to have around as the "greeting committee." It was fun arriving in the snow and having the temperatures rise each day. Perfect weather for a Texan! The "Welcome Letter" was very helpful, as well as the brochures you left. This was truly a wonderful discovery. A place large enough for our big family, but warm and cozy in every way. Toni and Don were caring hosts who made sure the Christmas Season at Tihsreed would be a memorable one for us. A warm home, spectacular views and the quiet of a Colorado Christmas in the mountains, we could not have asked for more. You did a great job, thanks, Toni and Don.

We choose Tihlsreed Lodge to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time! It not only was spacious and very luxurious, but also had a very homey feel. Everything was just as described and met all of our needs, plus some. We emjoyed sitting on the decks soaking in the beautiful setting, cooking together in the spacious kitchen, lots of indoor and outdoor games, hiking and running around the mountain home, and day trips to Colorado Springs, Phantom Canyon Road, Cripple Creek and Canon City, the Florissant National Monument, the Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park (where they are currently restoring a prehistoric turle found on my parents' farm/ranch in Western Kansas), and much more! Thanks to Toni and Don for being such wonderful hosts! We are hoping to return and make sure to tell all our friends about this home! Thanks for sharing with us!
