About this apartment rental
The apartment is a bright and sunny 2 rooms of 53m2, located on the 5th floor with elevator. It is accessible by code and intercom, and is located in the famous district of the Goutte d'Or that Emilie Zola immortalized in his novel L'Assommoir
It consists of a living room with a sofa bed 2 places (140x190) and an open kitchen, a balcony overlooking the Sacré Coeur, a room with a mattress futon 2 places (140x190). a bathroom with bath, and separate toilet.
Fully equipped, it has a "smart TV" of 80 cm, with access to OCS channels (HBO series, movies on demand), an iron and ironing board, a washing machine .. .
The kitchen includes ceramic hob, mini oven, espresso machine, toaster, all necessary utensils, crockery, vacuum cleaner, fridge and dishwasher.
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is a 10-minute walk away, but the Goutte d'Or is also very well served by public transport, and you can reach any corner of Paris very easily. To reach the center of Paris, it will take you only about fifteen minutes by metro.
5 minutes away is the Château Rouge metro station on line 4, which is also the Gare du Nord (2 stations), Gare de l'Est (3 stations) and Gare station Montparnasse about 25 minutes.
Otherwise, a little further there is the metro station Barbès-Rochechouart, line 2, and that of Marcadet-Poissonnier, line 12 which serves Gare Saint-Lazare.
To come from the Gare de Lyon, take line 14 towards Saint-Lazare, stop at Châtelet station and take line 4 towards Porte de Clignancourt, and stop at Château Rouge. Allow about 25 minutes.
Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport is 55 minutes away, and Orly airport at 1:10

Communication with Marc, was very good, the apartment was nice and spacious. The balcony was very pleasant and even small but with a little imagination you could actually eat there. Everything in the apartment was functional, the district was quite lively but we felt secure and the people pleasant. Metro line 4 is 5 minutes walk and takes you wherever you want to go.

This apartment was a great home base for our time in Paris. It's in an interesting, multicultural neighbourhood with a bustling fresh market, but the street it faces is fairly quiet at night apart from the occasional garbage pickup or whatever. Close to three metro lines, especially line 4, and walking distance to the Montmartre funicular.
The unit was well fitted out, all the way down to a handy mending kit. Marc, the host, was communicative and answered questions quickly. The one challenge was that the futon was quite firm and we found it uncomfortable for sleeping.

Clean, well furnished kitchen and bathroom. Host communicates well.
View of Montmartre is difficult with extremely tiny deck .
Not the greatest area to stay in Paris but place works for a few days.
