Chase’s place was perfect for our little family! It’s a in a great location with walkable access to the beach and town. The beds were comfortable and the home was equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated a nice clean comfy and quiet place to land after a day of beach activities with the kids. Thanks Chase! We will be back again :)

Very easy check in/out, Comfortable and clean. Fully stocked with all you need. No fault of of the owner but the area is in a flight path of the nearby airport. Initially annoying but got use to it quickly. I even added on a couple of days.

This Balboa Island cottage is such a gem. Located within a block of the water and a short stroll to the main street shops/restaurants and the ferry, we didn’t need the car at all. Everything was clean, tidy and well presented. The hot tub and firepit sitting area outside were such a treat. We would definitely stay here again.

Chase is a wonderful host! He's very attentive, responsive, friendly and accommodating. The cottage is clean and so cozy - it felt like our home away from home. It's stocked with everything you can imagine and is so comfortable. We loved the location, as it's walking distance to the bay, 5 min from the ferry and tons of restaurants and shops. We highly recommend!! You won't be disappointed.

The pictures do not do this rental justice. The unit was much more spacious than I had expected. It is loaded with all the details you want to have on hand in the kitchen, all the beach essentials and an at home desk set up - this owner has thought of everything. Great location on Balboa Island - so many ways to walk and explore the neighborhood. We can't wait to go back!

This cozy property is nestled in a fabulous location. Small but offers so many nice upgrades and all of the essentials. Very functional and had some unexpected office features that were wonderful for my business trip and computer work. Communication was seamless and this always is so important. Convenient parking! Chase's property and the surrounding area were beautiful. Quiet, quaint and lovely people everywhere we went. The pictures do not do the place justice. It was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities you would need including the wonderful hot tub. Chase was a fantastic host, would love to return.

The cottage and its amenities surpassed expectations and we loved it. We’ve lived on Balboa Island as residents and were thrilled w/the cottage’s location. Furnishings inside, quality wood surfaces & a large, enclosed back patio afforded an indoor-outdoor daily lifestyle. The water pressure is astounding for showering after a beach day or kayaking. The kitchen is outfitted w/many devices for cooking adventures, such as a smoothie blender for healthy breakfasts. The proprietor is kind and fast to respond to any communications. It’s an ideal cottage for a small family. High recommend!

We truly had an amazing time. Chase was fantastic to work with, and the space was really laid out nicely. Having a hot tub and fire pit area really extended the living area. We had a great time. We walked to the ferry every morning and rode bikes everywhere. We enjoyed elbow Island and the wonderful shops and restaurants.. We would definitely come back next year.

Had a wonderful time staying at this lovely cottage on balboa island. Plenty of space for me and my girlfriend, but the space could easily accommodate a couple with young children. Back patio was amazing and very private with a hot tub for soaking after a long day. Host was receptive and quick to answer our questions. Would highly recommend based on amenities and proximity to marine ave and ferry. Big thumbs up!!!!

My best friend and I were absolutely thrilled with this property and the experience with Chase! Looks just like the pics but feels much bigger in person. The patio area is absolutely amazing place to chill. The house is well stocked and the bed is really comfy (I know that's important to a lot of peeps) Loved the location, you can see Balboa Bay from the house--easy to walk to the bay, beach, downtown Balboa and biking for miles. To top it off you have you own personal parking space! Can't wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful weeks stay at Chase’s property. It was very well designed and the layout of the cottage made it seem a bit larger than we were expecting. All the furniture was very comfortable- loved the large flatscreen TV and as I was working many of the days there, loved the corner desk looking out over the bay. It was really lovely, albeit sometimes distracting! ;) The large patio with fire pit and spa looked quite welcoming but we really didn’t use it much as we spent our free time walking to all the cute shops and restaurants around the island. The reviews don’t lie nor do the photos, this is a really cute place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time at Mariners Cottage on Balboa Island introducing our 4yr old grandson to all #IslandLife has to offer.Every summer we came here to Balboa Island as kids. Everything about renting a beautiful Balboa cottage came true there's plenty of room this imacculent cottage didn't ddissapoint.Pack your bags everything is thought out perfectly here for a enjoyable stay.There's a Comfy bed plenty of towels, pillows & blankets a gas fireplace to cozy up to beach chairs for your use.There's a great jacuzzi hot tub to soak in at the end of your day after exploring the island in a lovely patio complete with a firepit bring some s'more fixings to make to enjoy over the fire pit there's even long metal forks for your use for marshmallows. There's even a covered parking space a rarity in island rental property's enjoy Balboa like a local in this beautiful cottage in winter or summer.

This is a nice, quiet and well-equipped home in a fantastic location on beautiful Balboa Island. It’s within walking distance of Marine Avenue shopping and dining, and a convenient ferry ride to the Balboa Peninsula and Fun Zone. We had everything we needed to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner - including dishes and serving ware… and a cozy fire in the fireplace!
