Very central yet quiet as the hotel is located in a narrow alley with very little traffic. Super friendly staff, breakfast is prepared on order, good laundry service, very big room with lots of storage, all necessary appliances, many different lighting, new and quiet A/C. Small hotel with few rooms. It has been a pleasure to stay there for 3 nights!

Rooms - spacious & clean

It is located along an alleyway so when taking taxi/Grab cars, guests have to walk about 60 to 100m to the main road (depending on which main roads). The alley is unevenly paved and there is no covered walkway. Hence, guests with carry-on and bigger pieces of luggage will find it challenging. If it rains, guests will get drenched without umbrellas or rain coats.
Otherwise, Ben Thanh Retreats Hotel is an excellent choice - a quaint & quiet boutique hotel.

The bed was comfortable the air conditioning cold the shower, nice and hot, and the staff girls were the best

1. The Air Con only blew the air, not dropped the room temperature although I used the lowest temperature setting on the remote control at 17C. But the front desk lady insisted that it works after at least 3 hours blowing air. 2. The breakfast was included in the booking. Since we had to leave early in the morning to airport, I asked if a small breakfast could be packed for us just like other hotels would do for their guests. At the end of the day, when I asked for the small breakfast, she said the bread store was closed regardless the fact that she had a whole afternoon to prepare the bread. 3. The price paid for the hotel was much higher than other similar B&B hotels around the same area. It is the worst hotel in the whole trip.
