About this cottage rental
Enjoy our family cottage by the sea, that sleeps 8 and is a short stroll down the quiet street to a huge and pristine beach. If you've stayed with us before, you will be excited about recent upgrades including a newly remodeled main bathroom, 2 large flat screen smart TVs, new exterior siding (no more yellow) and all new patio furniture. If you haven't visited before, you'll appreciate the cute beach decor, comfortable beds, and how easily it accommodates 8 people. The best part though is the large patio, it's like having a whole other living room outside.
Silverstrand Beach and adjacent Ventura are old fashioned California beach towns. We are within walking distance of the Channel Islands harbor that boasts large waterways for kayaking or tooling around in an electric boat. Silverstrand is also a popular local surf spot, also great for boogie boarding and sand castle building. You are almost guaranteed sightings of sea lions and often can see dolphins too. You can usually view the Channel Islands off the coast and the sunsets can be spectacular.

Marks’s place is absolutely Charming! Perfect for me, hubby and our 2 pittie’s. Property was secure for our dogs to go outside without worry of them leaving property. If you have a high jumper, know the front yard wall is about 4 ft high. Cottage is adorable and very clean. Master bedroom, we slept best in long time, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. 3 other bedrooms were cute w ample space, we closed off during our stay. Both bathrooms excellent water pressure. Did not cook, all kitchen essentials were available. WiFi worked great, no issues. Always felt safe, walking Silver Strand is amazing seeing all the different foliage, architecture, beach ocean:) Walking A Highly recommend Pepe’s for Mexican yums and Strandwich-brisket breakfast burrito is incredible! Mark is an excellent host!

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and roomy beach cottage. It was perfect for exploring the Channel Islands and for viewing a lovely Easter sunset on the beach (less than a block away). Mark was great! He quickly answered questions by text and resolved in person the one unexpected issue we had during our stay. If we visit the area in the future, we would certainly consider staying again!

The outdoor area was sweet, comfy, and convenient. Steps away from the kitchen and grill areas. We all really enjoyed our gathering. The house could use a deep cleaning and a fresh coat of paint on the interior.
