Situated in Lee, this attractive house for $650 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Newly Renovated for 2023 Cape Cod Style ,4BR, 4BA, sleeps 10-12. New fully equipped kitchen w/ center island, indoor and outdoor barbecues, wine cooler, 2 wood burning fireplaces, large deck with 8-person hot tub and super seating for beautiful sunsets, Daiquiris and Bloody Mary's (ingredients included). Fabulous great room with pool table, 65' HD Smart TV and 48' HD Smart TV for your sports fans in rec room. Summer weeks include 2 rounds of golf at nearby Miraval Country club or Spa treatments for two at the Miraval Spa or trade them for show tickets, Tanglewood, Shakespeare or Jacobs Pillar performances. Both Westinghouse and Vanderbilt agreed that this was the best location in the Berkshires as they were former owners. Take a very short hike (15 mins) to the nearby Edith Wharton Estate for some great drinks, snacks, super Jazz and the beautiful gardens. I brought a group of friends up for a ski weekend. Finding the place was easy using the very clear directions given before check in. The house was large and the kitchen was well stocked - there were plenty of plates bowls and cups for our large group. Thanks for the great vrbo stay!

Renting almost all of July 2022 was a Fiasco. We left 4 days early. The home is very poorly maintained inside and out. The Owner/Host was difficult to reach & offered a lot of lip service but got almost nothing fixed. The description about the home in the ad is deceptive especially about all the amenities available. Nothing is Luxury. Nothing is New. Actually, the kitchen appliances (dated 2013) all need significant repairs. The dish washer flooded the kitchen; the laundry dryer door is ready to fall off the hinge and hard to lock; the ice maker is broker; the freezer & refrigerator light are broken; the gas oven took 1 hour to reach 350 degrees; the AC barely worked in master bedroom, master bath, office, kitchen and dining room; many upstairs windows are inoperable; the cable TV/netflix/amazon constantly freezes ; we found expired fire extinguishers dated 2013, 2014 and 1995 and also one totally empty ( used?) extinguisher; there are wires hanging from ceiling where 6 smoke detectors apparently should have been installed; we had incessant beeping on several occasions from the ADT security alarm that isn’t connected to remote monitoring; the towels, kitchen mitts, linens, duvet cover were bleached stained, torn and worn out; one fireplace protective glass section is missing.
I am stopping here but there was more.
I have attached 10 photos since you may think I am exaggerating. Nearly every single thing in this advertised as new, luxury estate home needs to be replaced, repaired or at the very least refreshed. One group of guests ( family of 5) that planned to stay for the weekend but decided not to spend even one night since the mildew odor was so intense in the basement bedrooms/living area.
We purchased for ourselves some pots, pans, towels, a CO2 smoke detector, a toaster, batteries for flashlights, and non slip strips for stairs. Only the non strip slips remain for another rentor.
We have rented vacation homes for over 20 years and this was hands down our worst experience.
We would never stay in any property owned by this Owner.
Forewarned is forearmed.

Since we had a 10 day rental, we really got to "know" the house.
The grill was completely unusable because the gas line was split, something the manager Rick should have seen when checking the house prior to our arrival. It was replaced, but not till we were sorely inconvenienced, and only because we were there so long. The bulb in the downstairs stairway was out, and it was pitch black using the stairs at night. Other bulbs were out. Rick also replaced those, but not for a few days.
My husband found and replaced wheels on the lower rack of the dishwasher, which then made the dishwasher usable, since the propeller could not turn initially. The dishwasher was also leaking. He replaced the battery in the upstairs bedroom smoke alarm when it began to beep. He put drain cleaner in the upstairs shower since the screen on the floor was missing and it became clogged. He reinforced two chairs that we on the verge of collapse. Really? We paid to rent the house and my husband became the handyman.
Then the handle in the downstairs shower spun around but would not turn off the water. We could only turn the water off at the shower head. When I reported this new problem to Rick his response was, "Sorry for this problem." I was sorry too but expected him to come by and repair it, which he did not.
The bulbs in the refrigerator and under the microwave were out.
The house was well equipped and located but very poorly maintained, and frankly, I did not sign on for that.
So, if you rent this house, just be prepared.

The home was clean, spacious, beautiful, well appointed, in a fabulous setting. We were thrilled with the pool table, natural environment, location, hot tub, architectural design, and hospitality of the host. He even had wine to greet us cooling in the refrigerator. I highly recommend this as a welcome, hospitable home for anyone.

Beautiful location, close to all the Berkshires has to offer. Spacious and comfortable home with a, pool table, darts, and a hot tub for entertainment. Don't miss the ice cream at Highlawn Farm, walking distance from the house.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. There is plenty of space for a large group. 3 full baths was great for our group of 10 girls! Hot tub had a couple of issues but property manager did try to offer quick solutions & did send somebody to try to fix it. Overall we would return & recommend this place.

We spent a week over Thanksgiving at this property for a family reunion and it was a wonderful time together in this beautiful part of the Berkshires. It’s a beautiful location and the home is well-stocked and comfortable. However, there were problems, some of which continue to remain unresolved, despite assurances to the contrary. Communications with the owner are difficult. When we arrived, the home was not ready or cleaned, beds not made, laundry in the process. The understandably-embarrassed cleaning person did not understand we were arriving that day, despite our reservation. We waited for 1 ½ hours in the basement apt. while the home was cleaned. Then, a couple hours later, a woman came by and said that she had rented the same property during Thanksgiving on a different website. She had family arriving and food had been ordered. I believe she was moved to a condo nearby. The hot tub did not work despite workers coming on 2 separate days. I specifically inquired about the hot tub before arrival. The dishwasher leaked a lot of water on the floor and we had to put a towel down to soak it up. The Master Bedroom door on 1st floor would not close, or lock, as the metal plate on the door frame was missing. We had a wonderful time, but resolving issues with owner are difficult.

Our family stayed in this gorgeous home for 3 nights. The accommodations were fabulous with plenty of privacy for 3 families, The kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. We will rent this again if we decide to visit the area.

The house was spacious and exactly as portrayed on the profile. Everyone enjoyed the fireplace and billiard table. It was especially convenient that the family room was separate (not under or above) the sleeping areas. This allowed the young children to sleep undisturbed by their older family members. We all quarantined and had our COVID tests prior to arrival, giving us peace of mind as we gathered. The local property manager was very helpful and responsive.

We mostly enjoyed our stay at Howard's. The set up is not really great for a family, as the "master" which is a queen without an en suite is on the main floor, and there is a one bedroom downstairs and two with twins upstairs. But the kids loved the pool table, and we enjoyed the jigsaw puzzle. The hot tub was cold upon arrival, whicih was a real letdown for us as we had alll been very much looking forward to getting in on the drive there.. But I spoke with Howard and he told me to try flippinig the circuit which I did and we were able to go in the next morning.

It was exactly what we were looking for. Good location and space. Well sticked with everything you would need. Some cabinets were a little older amd didnt close well but that didnt matter to us. Property manager amd owner responded quickly and were easy to deal with.

Howard's place was nicely appointed clean with what you would expect to kick back and relax in the Berkshires. My friends assembled for our 50th reunion and had a great weekend.

I recently travelled to Lenox, MA with 5 girlfriends and we stayed at this home. What a find. Very clean, well-stocked and spacious home. Nice quiet and very scenic neighborhood. The house was also very close to town, which was a huge bonus. Very good communication with the landlord. We all were very pleased with our stay, highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in the Lenox area.

5 kids and 5 adults to celebrate my 70th! The layout worked well for all of us, the property was great for walking and playing in the snow. Weather cooperated beautifully. First time ever snow tubing was amazing. Other than some cosmetic improvements, this is a great place for a family event.

A lovely,welcoming home! Very clean and comfortable. I rented to hold a scrapbook retreat with friends and family and I was not disappointed! We were 14 in attendance and all were extremely happy with our surroundings! The large kitchen held all of us without problems! It was wonderful to be able to cook in too! As a matter of fact, except for a couple of errands, no one left the house from Thursday - Sunday!! Even a two hour power outage couldn't dampen our spirits because of the natural light in the great room - it was well lit with all the windows! We have all decided we would love to go back sometime!! Thank you!

Nice house, everything you need for a great weekend available. Unfortunately, there is a step up/down into the living area which made it impossible for my 89 year old aunt to access with her walker. There are also 2 steps to enter the house without handrails making it more difficult than anticipated for my aunt or someone with a handicap. Everyone enjoyed the weekend in spite of the 2 aforementioned problems.

Got together with a group of college friends to watch the NCAA tournament and this house was perfect! TV in the family room was great, and the pool table was a nice touch. Plenty of beds, very comfortable and overall it was a great experience.

10 of us vacationed here. Beautiful surroundings, quick drive to town... but no need to leave this home. Spacious kitchen and living area. Hot tub, pool table, sound system and darts kept us happy For hours.

This house checked off every box on our list-great location, clean & nice layout for 10 of us. Common area was big enough to hang out comfortably but bedrooms are nicely separated. House is well stocked, beds are comfy, plenty of nice towels for all. Howard had information well organized & everything about this rental was easy.

Stayed three days with my extended family. The space worked very well for 3 generations and 3 couples. It was very cold but the fireplace was very nice and the hot tub was wonderful. Mary Beth and Wade (the caretakers) were very helpful in dealing with a few small issues which came up. Very nice location, and working with Howard (the owner) for the booking was quite easy and he provided a lot of good information about the house and about things to do in the area.
