About this house rental
Situated in Russian River, this charming house for $334 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Hummingbird House is a beautiful, well-equipped home on a sunny property with views, privacy, numerous amenities, and a central Russian River Valley location. Sit out on one of the lovely decks with morning coffee, soaking up the sun, and enjoy the tranquility. Then, set off on a great day of exploring all that Sonoma County has to offer! When the day is done, come back, make dinner with the local ingredients you've collected, and then take an evening soak in the large hot tub. Hummingbird House is a 3 story home nestled against a sloping hill and overlooking a grove of redwood trees. The top story, which is also the entry-level, has open living room, kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen is well-equipped, the dining table comfortably seats 6 people, and the living room has floor to ceiling windows, a large couch, a flat screen TV (you can log in to your Netflix, Pandora or HuluPlus accounts) and a wood-burning stove. Sliding doors lead from the dining area out to the first of three decks, where the gas BBQ and outdoor dining table are located. Also on the top story there is a small office with a desk, perfect for finishing a bit of work or browsing the internet, and there is a bathroom with a free-standing tub. The second story, accessed by stairs from the living area, has a bedroom with a queen bed, a half bath/laundry room, and the master bedroom, with a king bed, its own bathroom and sliding doors to the middle story deck. The master bedroom bathroom has a shower/bathtub combo. Stairs from the middle story hall lead to the lowest story, which is entirely made up of a bedroom suite with a queen bed, small sitting area and a bathroom with a shower. A door leads from the suite to the lowest deck, where the large hot tub and lounge chairs are located. The hot tub deck can also be accessed by a spiral staircase from the second level deck or from stairs leading up from the yard. The meadow-like yard is large with a number of fruit trees. The upper portion of the sloping hillside is tastefully landscaped. There is plenty of space for kids to play and dogs to run (please note the yard is not fenced, so unleashed dogs need to be under voice control). Surrounding the open meadow area is a forest of redwood trees. The Russian River is just down the road, and river access is less than a mile away. Many Russian River Valley Wineries are less than 3 miles away. Know Before You Book: Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Hummingbird House is 6. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time. Parking: On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 3 vehicles. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. Bed Sizes: Master bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Downstairs bedroom: Queen bed Heat Source: Central heat, wood stove in the living room, gas fireplace in the downstairs suite. A/C: Partial. The house has a mini-split air conditioner for the main level only. The middle and ground levels stay cooler naturally. Being near the coast, the night time temps drop and just opening some windows while the a/c is off is usually enough to cool the house. Common Amenities not included: This home does not have a Dishwasher. Location: Great wine country location! Hummingbird House offers a deal of privacy. Although there are other homes in the tucked-away neighborhood, there are no visible homes from the back decks or the back side of the house. There are no immediate neighbors. Despite the privacy, Hummingbird House is located on a very accessible, well-maintained road and is just a short drive to wineries, restaurants, and other attractions the area has to offer. Work from HERE: Hummingbird House has a separate office with desk (with keyboard tray), record player, and a door to close out distractions. Had a great time staying at Hummingbird House. It was the perfect place for 3 couples visiting the Wine Country. House was clean, kitchen was pretty much fully stocked. Fruit trees on the property. 2 BRs with attached baths.
I'm nit-picking when I say a couple of extra towels would be nice (we only got one towel per person), the beds are comfortable but very firm, and I know we're not there to watch TV, but the my computer monitor is about the same size. They could upgrade the TV to at least a 40" in case people want to watch a movie at night or something. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Sparkling clean, comfortable, well stocked, private, peaceful and in a location central to shops/wine/restaurants/the ocean/the river. We had 3 couples and had plenty of private space, nice living room for visiting, gorgeous decks for lounging.

What a beautiful home. We loved every minute of our stay. The decks were wonderful for relaxing and enjoying a nice glass of wine. Excellent location for a few days of winetasting and visiting the beach. Would love to stay here again!

The house was great, quiet and secluded, and was just a short drive to town and the coast. We spent our days exploring the river and hiking and it was great to come back to make a meal and soak in the hot tub. A perfect quiet getaway for our family of 3 and our dog. Would recommend!

We had a great stay at the hummingbird house. Everything was extremely easy and the house was great. I will say the only thing that would have made the trip 100% perfect would have been some softer beds. Other than that the house was well stocked with everything you needed. We had an amazing stay.

Hummingbird house is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a fun property with each floor being distinct, big yard with fruit to pick and eat, and it's not too far from restaurants and wineries!

The house was perfect for our family of six-- our grown up sons and our son's family had all the privacy they wanted. We watched TV in the living room and did not have to worry about a toddler sleeping one floor below-- the house is so spacious, one does not need to worry about noise!
Our dog loved playing outside. A family of deers visited the backyard almost every day. We had magical time -- we won't look for another house next time we will be going to Sonoma.

Very nice interesting house
We had 3 couples staying at the house. There are only 2 baths with showers. A bit awkward but we managed. Small kitchen but we were able to do a lot of grilling on the deck. Lots of the right utensils in the kitchen. The upper level is away from the bedrooms so you could be there without bothering those going to bed early or sleeping in late. Very quiet area and just far enough away from other homes that we didn’t hear any neighbors. No light pollution- a fabulous view of the stars!

Perfect locaction
We had the best time. House had everything we needed. So close to so many wineries, grocery stores and not far from the coast. Hot tub was wonderful. Yard had plenty of fresh rosemary and pears we roasted! Can’t say enough about how great the house was and we had three couples traveling together!

Wonderful “home”
Spent a wonderful weekend with friends. The home was spacious and the accommodations worked well for three of us.
We spent each morning on the back deck enjoying coffee and enjoying the sounds and smells of the woods. It was awesome.

Great getaway home!
The house while smaller than it looks in the pictures was very clean and well equipped. The only downfall is the lack of a third shower. Everything else was lovely and the owners were very easy to communicate with and helpful with questions or concerns. We really enjoyed our stay!

We so enjoyed our week at the Hummingbird House. It's spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, well equipped and relaxing. The garden and the decks were wonderful. The top floor gets quite hot in the afternoon, but the fans helped. There are 3 full bathrooms, but one has a tub and not a shower. As a result, 4 people shared one shower and 2 people shared the other. The people in the rental office were friendly and helpful when we had a question. I would go back, if I have the chance.

Perfect for a quick Multi-Couple getaway!
We were three couples in from Arizona for a quick weekend in Napa, the Hummingbird House was perfect for our needs! 3 bedrooms, 3 baths... loaded kitchen with all the essentials. Multiple decks on which to enjoy a glass of vino and take in the quite surroundings. We'll be back!
