Located in Friday Harbor, this lovely condo for $225 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Downtown Friday Harbor. Within Walking Distance to the Ferry. 3 Queen Beds + 1 Twin Bed. Lovely Natural Light. Downtown Friday Harbor! Miner's Suite plus Annex Suite The Miner is one of 5 separate Suites to rent among the historic Acanthus House. The Miner Suite is a spacious upstairs studio with 2 queen beds, a well-stocked kitchenette and private 3/4 bath (shower + toilet). Enjoy the natural lighting from the three skylights. The Annex is an adjacent room located directly next to the Miner Suite door (with separate door and entry code) with one Queen bed and one Twin bed for additional sleeping space. Annex has a separate door entrance and is not directly attached to the Miner's Suite (no bathroom in Annex. Bathroom is located in Miner's Suite) Guests will find that one block from Acanthus Suites will bring you into the heart of downtown Friday Harbor, offering many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5-minute walk from the Acanthus Suites! Any or all Acanthus Suites can be rented for different group sizes! The Acanthus House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1913, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant’s daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor; only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor and is an excellent option for those coming to explorer the island and have a comfortable place to rest at night. Private parking available to guests. The Acanthus House does not have Air Conditioning. This unit does not have laundry facilities. The unit does not have an oven/stove **Kitchenette means mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, plates, cups. Toaster available upon request.** The internet / Wi-fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing. Internet Speed Test Results… Download Speed: 65.43 Mbps -- Upload Speed: 54.67 Mbps -- Ping: 48.3 Ms (Average of three tests that were conducted January 2024 using SpeedCheck Pro) This suite has good cell phone reception. This is a Non-Smoking unit

We had a great time visiting Friday Harbor for Christmas! The rental/property were just perfect for what we had planned. The location is close to town and the ferry, making this a great place for those walking on, while the oversized parking lot makes it great for driving in as well. We would 100% book with SJPM again and again!

This was an upstairs studio/attic room called the Miner's Room, and, frankly, it looked like a low class place underground workers would go to for a short sleep before hitting the mines again. Examples:
- The windows were small, didn't open far enough to cool in a hot summer (no a/c).
- The kitchenette was 1970s style with formica and vinyl everywhere. Fridge and microwave were itry bitty.
- Furniture was decrepit. Table was falling apart, armoir could only hold clothes if they went in the wrong way, drawers wouldn't slide right / fell off. These weren't antique, they were low class thrift store quality.
- Throw rug over the vinyl floor was threadbare and very dirty. Bedclothess looked 20 years old - tattered and faded color.
- Bathroom was smallest we've ever had, maybe under 20 sq ft? Motel 6 would've been a big step up. Hot water heater and cleaner stuff were behind the thinnest of curtains was not very clean.
- TV was a joke. My computer monitor at home was a much better quality.

Warm sleeping especially in the “extra” area. We did not have a car, so this spot was perfect for walking to the Jolly Trolly, shopping and restaurants.

We had a very nice time staying in Miner's Suite. It was perfect for the two of us on a girl's trip and then we used the Suite a few nights for my friend's sister that came in for the weekend. We could walk to everything, the area was safe, and the place was clean. We will stay here again.

We were very happy with the cleanliness and location of the property. The layout of the Miner suite and Annex is a bit strange and it would help to make a floor plan available for guests before booking. We were also surprised that there were no tea/coffee supplies available.

We enjoyed are stay at the Miner's Suite. It's conveniently located. We stayed with two adults and two teenagers. They enjoyed the own area in the suite down the hall. Bathroom situation was different. No bathroom sink or typical mirror (i.e., kitchen sink doubles as bathroom sink). Putting on the pretty was a little harder in this suite :). Bed were comfortable and suites were clean.

We loved our stay. The house has 4 rooms to rent (plus the annex with the miner's suite) and we thought that would be weird, but we really never saw the other guests and it was very quiet. One block from town and 4 blocks from the ferry, loved the location. Our room (Miner's Suite) was large with two queen beds and the annex was great, but we didn't realize you had to access it from outside our room. Not a big deal, but be aware, the annex is next door. It was a great place to stay for the price, but I have to say the beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. Couldn't wait to get home to get some sleep. Would love to come back if they get some new beds that support our backs, otherwise would have definitely given it 5 stars, great place.

Great stay, so convenient!
This was a last minute booking but everything was so smooth and easy. The suite was super clean and the house is a 5 minute walk from all the happenings in Friday Harbor. The kids (10 & 14) found the beds to be very comfortable and "it was great for two nights!" We had a bit of a crunch with the one sink, but it wasn't a dealbreaker! Thank you so much!

The property was actually two disconnected rooms with a bathroom in one, but it actually worked out just fine for a group of 6 (2 couples and 2 singles). Place was clean, charming, and very centrally located. Would absolutely stay here again!

Rented Miners Suite 2 nights. Easy check-in and walked from harbor area (it is uphill). Narrow stairs up to room. Very private, no AC so windows open so you hear noise of street & garbage truck pick up in the AM. Adequate space but no couch and no sink in the bathroom. TV had netflix access but no local channels. All appliances worked. After seeing beautiful harbor area I would rather have stayed at a location with a view.
