About this cottage rental
South Dease Cottage is located on South Dease lake which is 5 miles due west of Hale. This no smoking, 2 bedroom 1.5 bath cottage includes a full kitchen, laundry facilities, dining room, living room with pull out couch. Easily sleeps 4 people. WiFi.
Watch the sunset from a covered porch before going down to the fire pit to enjoy a bonfire.
A boat launch is 300 feet away. Enjoy fishing, water skiing, kayaking etc on the private all sports lake.
East Tawas is 30 miles to the east. Enjoy the fantastic beaches at Tawas Point State Park.
West Branch is 30 miles to the west. Enjoy outlet mall shopping, golf at the Dream/Nightmare or fine dining at the Willow.
Lumberman’s monument is 15 miles north on M65. Have fun running down the sand dunes into the Ausable river. See the picture with my listing.

My Dad and 2 brothers and I stayed for a few days and had a great time. The place was as advertised with plenty of space and a beautiful view of the canal. Jim and his wife were very inviting and accomodating and we will definitely be staying again. Highly recommend.

Clean cottage on canal. Quiet area to kick back and relax. Owner Jim was very friendly and accommodating. This will be on our return list.

Renting was fine, the master bed has seen better days. It was fine for 1 person so we ended up purchasing an airmattress. Its the small things…renting for 6, dinner chairs for only 5. The hosts are great people just a few details need to be paid attention to. Would we rent again? Absolutely! The lake is great and its close to orv trails.
