Situated in Bisbee, this attractive house for $74 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. If you are interested in our property we thank you. Our house is located directly above downtown a 5 minute walk down steps, close to restaurants and historic saloons, but in a quiet neighborhood. Here is our suggestions: Tell me when you request to book if the house is suitable for you and then we can proceed with the booking.Bisbee, especially since High Road has narrow roads and stairways.You can avoid misunderstandings by starting a dialogue. There are 20 steps down to the house and a clawfoot tub/ shower, so you must step over and into the tub . There is good parking on the road above the house. High Road House sits on the highest street above downtown Old Bisbee with great views of the Mule Mountains and into the mountains of Mexico. Our license number is 20055653 It is an early 1900's miner's home that has been adapted to expose optimal light and space. Walking trails through a mountain oak hillside begin directly above the house. The house is comfortable, quiet, and private. The house includes a secluded veranda, queen-size bed, a loft with a queen mattress, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with claw-foot tub that you step over and into to shower. Original Bisbee art and murals by local artists and wildlife sculptures create an ambiance unique to Bisbee's art community. The house sits on the Rose Stairs, part of the Bisbee 1000. The stairway leads to the downtown area, stores, art galleries and restaurants. There is off street parking above the house and 20 steps down a stairway into the house. Keywords: House

My husband and I loved our stay at Highroad House. The ambience of the home is lovely. The views are beautiful. My husband and I like to cook when we rent vacation homes, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The short walk and stairs from the parking area to the house were easy to navigate. We loved our stay and will rent again when we return to Bisbee.

This had everything you could want from a Bisbee retreat. Cute, quirky, in town and the views were inspirational. Had a wonderful creative weekend. Next time we come back to Bisbee we will definitely stay here.

Helen's little "green house" is a joy in every meaning of the word. Very comfortable and spotless.
Exceeded all of our expectations, even after reading endless, glowing reviews. Helen is a gratious and very helpful host. The edible items provide as a welcome surpass any we've encountered in our many years of travel homes researched and selected.

This was an excellent property with excellent views of the town of Bisbee from the floor to ceiling wall of windows. We were even able to see the 4th of July fireworks from this location!

BEAUTIFUL Property with AMAZING Views and EXCELLENT Location!
The posted photos do not do justice to this one of a kind property! The first thing that will capture your attention is the wall of windows and gorgeous views. The place is super clean and thoughtfully decorated with local artwork, painted murals and unique knickknacks. Unexpected breakfast fixings were provided for our 3 night stay including 2 muffins, 2 bagels, 6 eggs, fresh orange juice, and homemade jam. A full kitchen with anything you would need made it easy for us to cook breakfast each day before exploring the town and surrounding areas. The veranda was a special place to enjoy our morning coffee, an evening glass of wine and the amazing views as well. The bed linens and bath towels were super soft and luxurious, and there were plenty of additional quilts if needed to ward off the evening chill.
It was an absolutely priceless surprise weekend for my husband's first experience in Bisbee. Thank you for your hospitality, Helen! We will definitely stay here again!

It’s hard to imagine how this place could have been more perfect for our visit to Bisbee. High road house is the epitome of Bisbee charm and Helen is a super host, going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We can’t wait to go back.

Bisbee High Road House
The house was as described and depicted in photos. The views from the Green House are beautiful. The owners could not have been nicer to us and provided awesome breakfast goodies for our first breakfast. We love Bisbee and would stay at the home in the future without reservation.

Overlooking the town
Bisbee has an unusual street layout with many of the roads being very narrow and on the edge of the hill. Fortunately there are safety guard rails. High road fits this description and when you arrive to the top where the property is located you have an excellent view overlooking the entire town!
Once inside,the views extend through the large windows that also allow the morning sun to brighten up everything!
The amenities include a small kitchen that Helen has equipped with all the cookware you should need. There's also a washer and dryer just in case. The satellite TV and DVD player kept us entertained while the very untypical rain and wind storm made it's way through the region. We stayed warm and dry!
The only thing that some folks may have difficulties with is negotiating the concrete steps that MUST be taken to access the house. Overall the property is quaint and next time we visit we're going to spend some time on the outdoor patio in the typically great Bisbee weather!

Can't Imagine a Better Place to Stay in Bisbee
Wow, what a stay! Great home, great hosts, and we really had a super time. Helen and Tom were wonderful, and made sure we had everything we needed, even if we didn’t know we needed it. They were especially helpful in providing us with a ton of info on what to see and do.
The description and the pictures don’t do justice to how good this home is. The large windows provide what I am sure is the best view available anywhere up on High Road. By the way, they don’t call it High Road for nothing. Can’t imagine a better place to stay in Bisbee.
We’ve come here several times and have stayed a different place each time. Unless it’s not available, our next visit will be at the High Road House.

House with a View
Imagine yourself in an eagle's eyrie, perched high above it all with a long, wide view. This beautifully-updated historic house (1904) from Bisbee's mining days sits on the town's highest street. It is perched on top of a hill so steep that when you look out and down from the big plate glass windows -- a whole wall of them -- you can't see any ground, only the roofs below you and the quirky, charming town below them. What's not to like?
The place is basically one large room with a second bed in a loft above. A high ceiling, so much light from the windows, and that view all the way to Mexico's mountains, make a smallish place feel big. And with its back to the street and with only space in front, you have all the privacy you want.
I loved the building and feel only gratitude for the owners who live almost next door. They are warm, friendly, with a human touch and a willingness to help in any way they can. And they stretch for their guests in an unusual way. For example, I arrived well after dark from a long drive to find a starter breakfast -- in the fridge and on the house, including a loaf of delicious, high-end artisan bread. Clearly Helen and Tom are not just in business; they value a genuine hospitality.
Would I go again? Hell, I'd like to live there!

I could stare out these windows all day long...
Helen and Tom have prepared a beautiful, artistic, and peaceful vacation home, and I feel lucky that my husband and I were able to spend a week here in November. The views were astounding. How special to watch shooting stars at night and sunrise at dawn, all while lying in bed (and a very comfortable bed, at that!).
I was originally worried that this house would be far from all the action, but it was a pretty easy walk down a historic flight of stairs to get to all the shops and restaurants (the way back up the stairs was less easy, but a good workout!). It's close enough to all the action, but still removed enough to feel very peaceful and private.
The loft space upstairs was also really enjoyable. I took a few naps up there, just for fun. And the breezy porch is perfect for enjoying some fresh air with a good book.
This is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and appreciate the way the light changes throughout the day. We look forward to being back!
