Petra Domus is an enchanting Mountain Village home with over 3,300 square feet of luxurious living space. Set on a golf course with magnificent views of the surrounding San Sophia Ridge, Petra Domus— translation Rock House— has a unique stone facade that’s surrounded by lush, manicured grounds. A separate guest house will give large groups plenty of flexibility and privacy, and guests of Petra Domus will even receive TWO SKI PASSES during their stay. The welcoming GREAT ROOM is spacious and bright, with the living and dining areas flowing seamlessly together. In the LIVING AREA, there’s a grand stone fireplace and two plush sofas for curling up on a chilly Colorado evening. Large windows overlook the peaceful forest views, and a nearby formal DINING AREA has seating for six. The elegant KITCHEN is wide open to both the living and dining spaces, so even large groups will have plenty of time together at Petra Domus. A large, marble-topped island has lots of casual seating, a deep sink, and a dishwasher. Premier Viking appliances include a drawer microwave, a huge refrigerator, and a gorgeous gas range with a custom vent hood. The blonde wood cabinets add warmth to the space and are filled with all the extras needed to prepare a pot of coffee and a stack of pancakes in the morning before heading out to the slopes. From the kitchen, you can open the French doors to reveal the amazing COVERED PORCH, with an area for lounging by the outdoor fireplace, grilling steaks on the gas barbecue, and dining alfresco under the stars on warmer evenings. In the PRIMARY BEDROOM SUITE, a deluxe king-size bed is set against an upholstered headboard and faces a sleek stone fireplace. This room is like your own private sanctuary, complete with a spa-like ensuite bathroom with a vintage-inspired freestanding tub, two separate vanities, and a steam shower. A GUEST BEDROOM lies just off the great room area and features two queen-size beds and an attached full bathroom. On the lower level of the home, an impressive BUNK ROOM/GAME ROOM will be a huge hit with the kids. With two built-in twin-over-twin bunks, a huge HDTV, comfy sofa, wet bar, foosball table, and lots of games, this room is a popular spot to hang out. Outside on the DECK, you’ll find an ultra-relaxing hot tub for soaking the day away. For those in your group who are searching for a bit more privacy, the GUEST HOUSE is the perfect place to escape. Arrived to house at 5pm and code to open front door did not work. Called property management company and they did not respond until next day. Finally found way into house through garage after standing in freezing cold for 45 minutes. TV’s in house didn’t work, outlets in kitchen did not work, heat in master bedroom did not work. Property management company (Exceptional Stays) was terrible……they don’t answer their phones and don’t respond when you have problems. Nice house, great views……bring your tool box.

I would give this place a 100 stars if I could. We have stayed at many properties but none as amazing as this place!! Views are breath taking, a very cozy home. The kitchen had everyhting we needed to cook at night, which was a blessing. We are planning our next stay!!

Great stay! Very accessible yet also comfortable to stay at home the entire vacation. The ONLY thing missing would have been a crib, as I know some vacation homes provide. The house overall was stunning and so functional. We will be back!

Petra Domus was everything we wanted! I traveled with 5 of my closest friends and my husband to celebrate my birthday! The location was perfect, just a few minutes to the gondola. With covid and the restaurants being closed for dining-in we did a lot of cooking at home. The kitchen is beautiful and equipped with everything you would need. After skiing it was so great to change into our swimsuits and hop in the hot tub to soothe our sore muscles. I will definitely be booking this house again in the future!

This was such a wonderful time with my family. The home was perfect for family time in the mountains. It was so close to the market and the gondola into Telluride it was just perfect. The views were amazing all around the house. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us for our Holiday. We look forward to our next stay!

Our family stayed at Petra Domus for a week in July 2018 and could not have been more impressed with the home. We arrived to a sparkling clean, welcoming house that is quiet and has outstanding vistas throughout of aspens and mountains. Every detail seemed first class and nothing was lacking during our stay. Loved the gas fireplaces in the cool evenings, the Viking ice machine, the covered patio with a steady flow of hummingbirds. We hope to visit again in the future and can't imagine a finer facility could be found in the Telluride area.
