About this condo rental
Situated in Outer Banks, this lovely condo for $340 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to The Beach Place at Hatteras High! Here you will have DIRECT ocean front views from the rear balcony and distant sound views from the front porch. There is NO ELEVATOR, so you will need to be able to navigate 2 flights of stairs. There is a LUGGAGE LIFT located between the two stairwells. There are two bedrooms, each with a QUEEN bed. There are two bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combo. One bedroom has an ocean view, sliding glass doors to the balcony, an ensuite bath, and a smart tv. . NO BED SHEETS OR BATH TOWELS are provided. You can bring these with you or rent from a local company. Pillows, blankets, and bedspreads are provided. The complex offers 3 free washers and 3 free dryers. There is a QUEEN size pullout sofa in the living room. There is also has a smart tv with a dvd player. You can choose to turn on the fireplace just for the ambiance or you can set it to have additional warmth to the room. The Kitchen includes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, a KEURIG and a DRIP coffee pot, wine bottle opener, mixer, crock pot, and can opener. A few starter items such as dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels will be provided. Usually (but not guaranteed) there are coffee filters, potholders, dish towels, sponges, dishwashing pods, laundry pods, and salt and pepper on hand. The POOL is open from mid-May until mid-October (Please confirm opening and closing dates with me). Resort amenities include picnic tables, charcoal grills, outdoor showers, and a fish cleaning station. Please bring your beach chairs and towels. This is a seven day Saturday to Saturday only rental in the summer season. Please note that pictures might not be an accurate depiction of how the beach will be during your visit as storms and tides impact the structure of the beach daily. VRBO incorrectly advertises the walk as 9 minutes to the beach. The building and the condo are direct ocean front. This is a NON-SMOKING and NO PETS allowed unit and facility. There is an RV park next door. You can cancel for any reason up to 30 days in advance for a 100% refund or 14 days in advance for a 50% refund. There are no other refunds for any reason, nor can you reschedule. Hatteras is an island subject to wind, rain, road flooding, beach erosion, and power outages, so please protect your vacation with TRIP INSURANCE. Make sure the insurance allows you to cancel for any reason and that it covers both trip cancellation and trip interruption. Our ideal is to make The Beach Place a homey, 5-star condo, so that you can have the BEST VACATION! We recently stayed at this wonderful condo on the beach, and it was perfect in every way!! Amazing beachfront views-felt like you were right on the beach when sitting on the spacious balcony. The condo is super clean and has the cutest beach decor throughout. Everything you need you will find in the kitchen-very impressed with how well supplied it was.
Nancy, our host, was the best! Super easy to communicate with and even checked in with us halfway through our trip. đ
We definitely recommend this gem of a find and will for sure be back!!

This is a great property. It was very clean and nicely furnished. It was a little bit of a drive to get to a lot of the things to do in the area but it was extremely quiet and relaxing.

This property was exactly what my girlfriend of 40 years and I were looking for in spending a week on vacation together. Property owner was a pleasure, the condo was so clean and beautifully decorated. The view was stunning! I will definitely recommend this property as well as stay there again. This is our third year staying here. As always, Nancy goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful vacation. Watching the sunrise from the deck with coffee we made at the adorable coffee bar. Walks on the beach down to the pier. Swimming in the pool thatâs never crowded. Quiet town perfect for families. We experienced stormy weather but Nancy communicated exactly what we could expect. I canât say enough great things about this host and home. It truly feels like home to us when we walk in and you can tell sheâs on top of the smallest detail to make your stay as perfect as possible. We canât wait to come back! Thank you for hosting us again!

We had an amazing vacation. Property, location, views, was great! Property owner was awesome! Very detailed with instructions, led us right to the condo with no issues! We had a great family vacation! We went with another family and we didnât know their exact location before we went but they were in the same building and the same level. We made so many friends. Pool was located right below so we could come and go as needed. This unit allowed us to use the storage and things in the storage, that made a huge difference for us! That was an extra that was just awesome! I was worried the beach would be too crowded due to the camp ground next to it, but surprisingly it wasnât. I gave 5 stars due to I couldnât ask for a better experience from the property owner, but the only issue I did have was cleanliness. Counters were not clean. Drawers were not empty and floors were not clean. But it all was an easy fix with a thorough cleaning from myself as I was getting the family settled and a vacuum was provided, so it was no problem doing those things myself quickly. Would recommend the stay 100 percent! Very nice place!

Gorgeous ocean views overlook the back deck, and from Master Suite. Kitchen supplies came in handy and the board games were a nice touch. Beds were comfy and there were additional blankets and pillows. Overall had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying again in the future!

We only wished we could stay longer. You have provided just what visitors enjoy - yes, we even watched your dvd âNights in Rodantheâ - it just seemed right đ.
Being honest, the steps were a challenge - but we knew about them. If we were to choose, we would prefer cleaning products that did not leave a strong scent in the air. We both are sensitive to odors and there was a very heavy Clorox odor. We ask that next year when we stay with you, you use a different product. That said, We LOVED your place and will be coming back yearly.

The place was beautiful very cute decor and it was super clean!! Although the weather wasnât the nicest it didnât matter bc we thoroughly enjoyed just staying in ordering take out from Lisaâs pizzeria relaxing and the view was excellent!!! I definitely would love to stay again!!!!

The communication of the owner was the best we have ever had! The ocean was right out our balcony and was beautiful. Our family of 6 fit perfect. And on the rainy days the owner even provided books, games and movies. We will be using them again.

The condo has everything covered for a nice stay. We visited off season so not sure what summer is like, but we have it booked for June so we'll let you know ; ). The long weekend was peaceful and the views are fantastic. Nancy gave us great recommendations for local resturaunts to celebrate our 15th Wedding Anny.

I brought my wife here for Valentine's Day and to watch the Super Bowl and loved it. The property was clean, the view was awesome, and Nancy was very responsive. As owners of 2 Volkswagens, we especially loved the beachy VW decor theme. I would definitely stay here again.

Where do I start!? The host (Nancy) was helpful, communicative and quickly responded. She provided excellent suggestions relating to the area for food and adventures. The condo location is superbâloved the ocean view (donât miss the beautiful sunrise!). The interior was sparkling, the bed was comfortable and the living room was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything imaginable and all the appliances were in top order. Canât recommend this property enoughâwe look forward to making this an âevery yearâ event.

The condo was directly on the ocean with a lovely view and easy beach access. The set up was a little unusual for us and we got off to a bit of a rocky start due to arriving late and missing the email from the host with the detailed instructions. In the conformation (and maybe the listing - tbh I dont recall) it said to bring your own linens or rent them through a 3rd party delivery company. We got there too late to rent them (around midnight). We've never experienced a vrbo that has this set up before (this was a budget vacation for us, so considering the price, still a good value). The host graciously provided us rental linens for our stay at no cost.
The place was cute. It was 3 stories with no elevator, so we got our steps in carrying our luggage (good for us but it might not be a good choice for someone with mobility issues).
All in all it was a good stay. We did see a few bugs, but thats to be expected with the ocean knocking at your door. We headed out little early due to the storm, and wish we could have stayed longer. We would stay here again. We will make sure to be better prepared next time.

The pictures of the beach and surrounding area posted on the VRBO ad weâre not accurate at all. The pics showed a nice long beach, at least 100 years from the break. When we got there, there was literally 6 foot of beach because it was all eroded away. Also, if we knew there was an RV park right next door, we would have used that information to weigh our decision. No pics showed any RV park, that is misleading and deceptive. To make things worse, at night, we couldnât enjoy drinks on the deck because thatâs when the cockroaches came out!!! Absolutely disgusting. It was definitely the worst place Iâve ever stayed at in the OBX in the past 35 years. We will not be using VRBO to book vacations any more because it is too unreliable. We basically wasted our entire summer vacation budget because VRBO was unable to verify the accuracy of the photos. Extremely disappointing.

The beach house is the perfect location. Having the beach right out your back door canât be beat. The condo was the perfect size for the 4 of us and we enjoyed every part of it. We even got to see dolphins! We would definitely return!

This was our first OBX vacation and we absolutely loved this property! Direct ocean view, clean and spacious condo, well appointed kitchen and the location is fabulous! It's only 45 minutes to the Ocracoke Ferry, many water activities close by, a great one in walking distance. Nancy is fantastic! She is very nice and quick to answer questions we had. She takes great care of this unit. We will be back!
