The hostel was excellent, super clean. The women's dorm has A/C and curtains, and there are common areas, a washing machine, and an iron. There are te and water for free.The women's bathroom is separate from the men's. My stay was great, and there's a manager who's on top of everything that's the best part.

The location was excellent and made it easy to explore Baku. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well when it was on. Overall, the facilities were decent and the hostel met the basics for a short stay.
The biggest issue was that the air conditioning was switched off for much of the day, which made the hostel uncomfortably hot. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable.
The atmosphere wasn't very social, which may or may not matter depending on what you're looking for. We also had a poor experience in our dorm. Some guests came in around 2 a.m., talking at full volume and turning on the lights. It seemed they knew the staff, which made it feel like this behaviour wasn't being addressed. Finally, I found the staff could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly.

- I stayed in the family room - with ensuite, it's excellent value for money.
- staff were friendly and pleasant and spoke enough English
- location is good with the main Nazimi St only about 3 mins walk away.
- wifi and A/C worked well.
- laundry service at 3 manat
- There is no cooker/hob/oven in the kitchen. This is by design. The guests therefore cannot cook any meals. How can you have a kitchen and then purposely prevent your guests from cooking? That's almost cheating. For this reason, the hostel gets only 8 stars rather than a 10.
