The condo is on a secluded 1/3 mile pristine white sand beach overlooking the gorgeous Turtle Cove. Celebrate a special occasion, romantic getaway or just come to relax and dine on your own private Lanai and enjoy the relaxing ocean breeze with the spectacular 180 degree view of the Ocean and Sunset. The Hawaiian Princess is located 45 minutes from the Honolulu International Airport and an hour from the frenzy and crowds in Honolulu and Waikiki. It is only a 20 minute drive to the City of Kapolei with many stores such as Costco, Kmart, Target, Wal-Mart, Ross, Safeway, Outback, Chili's, Starbucks, 16 Theatre Cinemas and the famous Paradise Cove Luau. The City of Waianae is minutes from your condo and offers 3 grocery stores, Long Drugs, many fast food and dining options. You can still enjoy the hustle and bustle of tourist activities with the additional benefit of a totally relaxing beachfront living atmosphere. Come, swim, and play in the warm aqua blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, or sunbathe on the uncrowded, unspoiled beach. You can snorkel, boogie board, paddle board, fish, or just relax with a 'cold one' while you watch Sea Turtles, Spinner Dolphins and Humpback Whales (in-season), or people having fun in the waves from the beach or your lanai. Two of the best island 18 hole golf courses are minutes away at the Ko olina Resort and the Makaha Valley resort. The world famous Makaha surfing beach is less than a mile away and home to several International Surfing Competitions in the winter months. The facility has a secure gated entrance from the road, a call button at the gate will notify the security guard to allow you entrance the first time. After your initial welcome, you will have a key to the unit and a fob that will allow you to come and go at your pleasure. On site, there is a salt water swimming pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, ping pong table, meeting room, tennis court, gas barbecues, picnic table areas, and secure parking. I have family in Nanakuli so I stay at the Hawaiian princess in Makaha every visit. This was the nicest, most updated, cleanest unit that I have stayed in at the Hawaiian princess. Highly recommend this unit!

The Hawaiian Princess is a true hidden gem in an area of Oahu that is not at all touristy. Mary's condo was great and we loved our stay! Also, she was incredibly kind and helpful. Thanks, Mary!

It was great. Watched turtles every morning swimming in the bay. Had fun watching sunsets from the beach and lani. Was so nice to be able to wash and dry clothes. The beach was very nice not crowded at all. Will definitely rent again.

Comfortable and clean, Mary’s Makaha condo was a pleasure to stay in. Fully resourced with all the comforts of home. Mary was very responsive to all my communications. Great service from the security team in the front lobby. But of course the reason this place rises so far above the rest is….THAT VIEW! Those sunsets. The beach in front (a short walk past the rocky shore) is a beautiful sandy, perfect spot to spend the whole day, in and out of the water. We loved the location and area, felt perfectly safe from our early morning walks to our late night returns from dinner at the Beach House (highly recommended, a 5 min drive down the road)
Love Mary’s place, definitely recommended, hope to be back one day.

My wife and I absolutely loved the view as advertised. Her condo has everything and more available for your stay. From little things like kitchen needs to beach gear. The sun sets on back patio side, so my wife got the most amazing sunset photos. In the afternoon, there are 2 umbrellas to use for shade, and there's 4 beach chairs to just enjoy and watch the crashing waves. The beach is beautiful but has a pretty good undertow, so beware for you and your kids, but the more experienced swimmers and locals enjoyed the water. I definitely would come back to Makaha and hopefully Mary's unit is available. Her unit has air conditioning and the other couple that came with us didn't have air conditioning, so if Mary's unit is not available, make sure you look for that. Mary gets back to you very quickly and we had no problems checking in. I could go on and on, but one thing we didn't do that I wished we did was read the guest book that she leaves in her room. Other guests give suggestions on where to go in Makaha, so look for that in the living room near the end table. The parking lot has security gates around the perimeter and you cannot enter anywhere without a key fob, so we felt safe. There are a lot of tourists who stay there, but it is a hidden gem. I booked this property because we didn’t want to be in the more populated areas of West Oahu. It worked out well. There is a fair amount of commuter traffic in the mornings & evenings. You just have to allow a few extra minutes if you are going sightseeing. I suspect it’s no worse than traffic around Honolulu, though.
The condo building is nice. Check-in was simple. Property is secure & we never had any issues.
There are lots of houseless folks camped out on the beach all along the NW coast, which did deter us from exploring some beaches. However, there are plenty of other areas to explore & many beaches to relax on, or snorkel at, in the vicinity. The beach at the condo is beautiful. We snorkeled there & saw a variety of fish. Each morning, we saw honu (sea turtles) from our lanai. The sunsets were amazing & one of my favorite things about staying here. At night, when it was clear, we could see the Milky Way, too. One night, we saw a satellite in the sky. The light pollution is definitely less there than a more populated area!
The condo is well equipped with plenty of kitchen items, towels, etc. We liked the fact there were beach chairs, umbrellas & other items for our use. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer in the condo. There were some detergent pods & dryer sheets, too.
Communication with the property owner was excellent.
We enjoyed our stay & would recommend this property. 🌺

We stayed here recently as part of our honeymoon trip. The property was clean, Mary was easy to get in touch with and communicate with and we felt safe and comfortable. But the best part of this booking is hands down the incredible sunsets we were graced with each night on the lanai! Absolutely stunning views. The beach is beautiful and we even saw a couple turtles swimming in the mornings. We would absolutely stay here again!

This condo has an amazing direct ocean front view. The resort has been well managed with security onsite all the time and gate locked. Condo is well stocked with everything we needed. Sheets are higher end 600 count sheets😊 it also has a central air which is rare in Hawaii.

The property is exactly like the pictures and the owners were very nice and great with communicating with us. However this area is in a high crime location and there are many homeless camps surrounding the property. Did not feel safe in the area. The property is gated and has security so maybe this wouldn’t bother some. We ended up mostly driving to the North Shore or Honolulu area.

All the experience was smooth and excellent from the begging to the end. This place is so gorgeous! Mary is such a good owner, always communicating with you to make sure everything is ok and I have no words to describe her apartment!
The place is a piece of heaven in Oahu, peaceful beach with unforgettable views, stunning sunsets and we were able to see 7-8 turtles just from the Lanai early mornings. The beach is also so nice, it is quite private with no much people around, a few waves… so much better than waikiki!
This is the place I am coming back from to Oahu from now own. Book it! You won’t regret.

Breathtaking View and Nearly Secluded Beach
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! The view from the balcony was a gorgeous blend of turquoise and blue waters and green hills.
The unit was very well-equipped and had everything we needed for the beach - chair, cooler, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, noodles, you name it and it was there.
The beach was nearly secluded during our visit, which was a nice change of pace from other areas we visited.
The only downside of this property was the fact that the neighborhood surrounding it looked a little depressed. The unit itself had great security and we always felt perfectly safe, but there wasn't a great variety of nicer restaurants or things to do in the area. This was fine with us, as the beach more than made up for anything else. I would definitely return to this property and would recommend it to anyone.

Driving directions from the airport seem a bit complicated, but it is really easy as the highway just changes names about three times.
