About this condo rental
Nestled in Mission Beach, this charming condo for $515 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Remodeled and painted June 2023.On the sand with 180 degree view of water! We are on the second and third floors which give you a 180 degree view of Sail Bay from both floors. In San Diego it is rare to find A/C at the beach but we have two portable a/c units. On the quiet Bay side, the beach is right in front of you and surf all a few steps away. This is the perfect vacation retreat, located on beautiful and relaxing Sail Bay/Mission Bay on the beach, walk to nearby restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Located directly on the boardwalk you can walk or bike easily to anywhere in Pacific Beach or Mission Beach. There are numerous stores 2-3 minute walk from the property that rent bikes. We also have beach towels and chairs included. The garage is on the ground floor with the living room, dining room, kitchen, and office on the second floor. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the third floor. Incredible views from the balconies of Sail Bay. This is not your typical beachy chic rental. We take pride in our unit and have furnished it with modern comfortable furniture. We even have an office area in the condo so you just have to hook your laptop and can work from the beach, if you need to. The bathrooms and kitchen have all been recently redone. The quartz counter kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils, and accessories from blender, toaster, coffee maker, rice cooker, etc. enjoy grilling on the balcony while watching the jet ski rides or have a romantic candle light dinner on the balcony looking at the evening lights over the bay. From yoga on paddle boards to sailing the bay...its all in your front yard. Walk two blocks to the surf on the beach side for amazing sunsets. Free wireless, full cable, three TVs for when you don't want to be on the go. The unit includes one uncovered parking spot right under the unit, and plenty of extra storage for all of your beach toys. In addition, there is a large public parking lot a short distance away making it easy for extra cars or visitors. For the few days you need A/C we have two portable air cooling units. Each unit cools approximately 400 square feet. Come and enjoy your own home away from home!

Clean, well kept up property on the bay side. Good location with easy access to San Diego attractions and restaurants. When the storm came in, the Oceanside was very windy, but the bay was relatively calm. But you’re still with in easy walking distance to the Oceanside Beaches.

Fantastic location. Great host. Terrific stay. I rented this place for my daughter and her college roommate. They just told me yesterday there were ants in the kitchen during their entire stay, but I’m sure the host would’ve taken care of that had they told me then. Otherwise, their stay was terrific. Everything was within walking distance. They did say all the blinds were not able to keep the sunlight out extremely early in the morning, but that’s not really a big deal either. We would rent this property again.

My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful condo on Mission Bay. It was everything we could have asked for. Quiet, very clean, safe, comfortable king bed, great shower and a wonderfully decked out kitchen. It’s very convenient to everything, we played tennis at Barnes in Point Lona, we golfed at Coronado, we ate wonderful food in La Jolla.

Great place to stay on Mission Beach. The condo was large, clean and close to everything. A quick walk to the ocean, best coffee shop, restaurants and bars. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the balcony overlooking the bay. An ideal location to stay especially with children as it was quiet at night. Would definitely recommend!!

An updated condo over looking the bay walk near the Santa Clara Point recreation center, It was a 3 day weekend so a lot of families and kids about. Its easy to walk to several nearby places for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It has a parking place which is a must for the beach area! It's a short walk to the ocean and the board walk there. Having a light there at Santa Clara is helpful to getting to the condo area you don't miss your turn :)

We really enjoyed our stay in San Diego! The condo was clean and a good amount of space for my family. The location was perfect! We rented a water trampoline in the bay one day and we went spent a lot of time on both the bay side and the ocean as it was a quick walk. I would highly recommend!

The location of the unit is great, right in front of the bay. I would just suggest that you read the information thoroughly, we didn’t, we were surprised that we didn’t have bottom floor unit, the unit is two stories, second and third floor. You also have storage for water toys/equipment in the garage which was great. We had a great stay. About a three block walk to the beach side.

We had a great time at our recent stay. The location is great just walk out the door and you're on the beach at the bay. It is much quieter than the ocean side. However, it is only a quick couple block walk to the Ocean side for when you want that atmosphere. We were able to walk to various coffee shops, restaurants, and Belmont Park.
Driving and parking are pretty tight, our rental car was an explorer that did not technically fit in the outdoor parking space by a couple inches, but we were not ticketed and there were other cars parked there that were even larger. But we may have just gotten lucky, so be wary of what car you're trying to park.
There are some beach chairs and towels, but limited other beach items like toys for kids etc. so bring some if you want that. Otherwise, the condo was decently stocked though we didn't cook during this particular stay. Despite the tight streets and general traffic, it's still a quick drive from the condo to various attractions (Zoo, Midway, etc.). Would definitely return.

First time staying on the bay side as we usually stay on the ocean side and we were impressed. Clean, great location, fun times. Parking for small cars only was the only downside. Don’t expect to park a truck or large suv in the assigned parking.

The place was perfect! Close enough to all of the action on the beach, but peaceful and quiet on the bay once we returned to the rental.
Fireworks were visible from the balcony and my kids loved swimming in the bay, which was right in our backyard.
We purchased some sand toys that we left behind in the garage for future guests 😊

We had a wonderful getaway to Mission Bay with an amazing home. We had everything we needed – and more! We had some trouble accessing the building, but David was just a phone call away to quickly assist. His communication was top notch from the moment we booked. He provided thorough details and instructions without any crazy check out or cleaning requirements.
The home itself is wonderful. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The balcony was the perfect place to enjoy the Sea World fireworks and a nice glass of wine after a busy day in the sand. Everything is updated and comfortable. There were portable AC units provided, but we had wonderful weather and didn't need them. I was concerned since our visit was in July, but it was beautiful.
Our boys loved the bunk bed and having their own TV. Our room was comfortable as well. The only minor improvement I could recommend would be darker window coverings. The current ones don't feel very private and let in quite a bit of light resulting in early wake ups – the kids were up as early as 5:40 one of the mornings.
Overall we had a perfect getaway and will definitely return in the future!

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our 4-night stay at this property. The condo was clean, spacious and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location was perfect for us. The bayside was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed our morning coffee (Better Buzz is literally 1 block away) and evening cocktail on the balcony while the kids played in the sand just below us. The kids also enjoyed the volleyball net and grassy area; definitely plenty of room for them to run around outside. The ocean was a short walk away, as were several family-friendly restaurants. Easy access to all things San Diego. Parking is tight for a big SUV but we were able to park for free overnight in the lot just a short walk away. We would stay at this property again. Thanks for a great stay!

This rental is great for a small family. We had everything we needed and would normally have at home. It was such an easy stay. The location is great too! coffee shops less than a block away and a nice grocery store with easy parking within a mile.
My only complaint was the 10 am checkout. That was tough with the clean up and 2 kids even with very little clean-up expected.

The property was very clean which I value extremely when renting a VBRO. The description of location and the unit itself was very accurate. I appreciate the property had a selection of books.
I will admit the mattresses are on the hard side and may want to bring your own pillows for the bed. Other than that no are of concern.

I've stayed in the Mission Beach area a few times and this is by far the best location yet! Right on the bay, only a 2 minute walk to the surf, and a great coffee shop almost outside the front door! Restaurants and shops so close we didn't even go to a grocery store once. The home is very well appointed and the layout is terrific. Stairs, though, so not suitable for anyone with mobility impairments, just as a heads-up. Try "Single Fin" for dinner and great drinks, and rent a surrey from Action Sports Rentals! SO much fun!!

The location was great. Right on the bayside with beach only a few minutes walk away. Unfortunately the deck didn't get a lot of afternoon sun. Loved all the windows and view. The space fit our family well and we appreciated the extra baby items provided (high chair and pack n play). The place was pretty dusty (fan, stair rails, etc) and very minimally stocked. The $1500 deposit or $59 mandatory insurance was a bit ridiculous along with the cleaning expectations (garbages all out, floors swepted/vacuumed, etc) on top of a cleaning fee. We felt horrible running the vacuum at 5am to clean before we flew out. The neighbors were loud late at night. We would definitely stay in the area again but probably not here.

Clean, bright and roomy for our family of 4 adults. Could not ask for a better location within walking distance to many restaurants, beach walk and mission bay. We loved that this faced the quieter mission bay but just a few blocks to walk to the busier beach walk. Having two dedicated parking spaces was a huge plus. We would definitely stay here again when in San Diego!

Wonderful visit to Mission Bay. Second time staying in this beautiful, clean condo with an amazing bay view. Unfortunately we did not receive any communication from the property manager with any of our check in codes or information, up until actual check in time, so that was frustrating. I called several times the day of check-in with no response. I finally emailed Sail Bay and thankfully someone got back to me with the details for check in. Still haven’t heard from the property manager.
